"Boss, we're done here!" Liu Xiaoyu called as she returned from the aisles with Xiao Ya following behind her, holding a manual that Xiaoyu picked for her.

"Good. We'll probably have another wave of customers once the fighting dies down a bit." Lin Mo replied before looking at Xiao Ya, who was still acting a little fidgety.

She's now wearing a smaller size of their green and white stripes uniform and her name was already listed in the system as a Floor Staff, making Liu Xiaoyu get her very first junior as the Assistant Manager.

"Xiao Ya, how are you feeling? Ready to start working? Or do you want to continue watching for now?"

The girl nodded hesitantly. "Uhm… No, Boss Lin. I… I'll do my best."

Lin Mo smiled. "No need to be so nervous. Just watch Xiaoyu for now. You'll get the hang of it soon."

"Y-yes! Thank you! Also, for the opportunity."

Xiao Ya nodded a few times before respectfully bowing again. She still felt like it was a dream. She'd probably try to pinch herself awake if not for her hands holding the thick cultivation manual.

"Boss, why is it possible for her and not me?" Liu Xiaoyu quipped while pouting.

Lin Mo shrugged, "I don't know. Ask the system. Or Yangyang. What will you even use it for? You're stuck here with me for close to a week now."

The battle beyond the walls continued in a strangely controlled fashion. Neither side suffered overwhelming losses, yet the Poison Demon Cult was gradually losing ground as they were pushed back into the demonic energy-infested Abyssal Forest.

The activity within the Divine Convenience Store remained tranquil with the occasional antics of Liu Xiaoyu as she eagerly taught Xiao Ya about the job.

Just as Lin Mo was about to check on Yangyang who should be receiving various complaints by now, a familiar customer came in.

Yu Qingyan stepped inside, looking as elegant as ever. Judging from her expression, she must've come from outside the walls, observing or directing the current battle against the Poison Demon Cult.

"Welcome, dear customer," Lin Mo greeted with his professional smile. "Are you here to restock for replenishments? You know, I set aside a box of Heavenly Dew Soda. I know you're coming back to get it, after all."

Yu Qingyan ignored his teasing tone and smirked at him.

"Shopkeeper, have you anticipated this kind of result? All the forces in the surrounding area expected a bitter struggle against the cult driven by their faith in a divine being yet… that's not what happened out there. Furthermore, everyone underestimated the effectiveness of your products and was ultimately proven wrong. The sects' disciples are cutting down demonic beasts like they're harvesting wheat. Elder Chu and I agreed it would be foolish not to reinforce our advantage while we can."

She crossed her arms, scrutinizing him.

"Tell me, honestly. You knew this would happen, didn't you?"

Lin Mo arched his brow. "Oh? That's a surprise to me, at least. But you know how it is for honest merchants, Miss Yu. What kind of merchant would I be if I didn't believe in my own products?"

Lin Mo chuckled, feigning modesty. "Oh, Miss Yu, you flatter me. Our store merely provides convenience to all of our customers. It is all up to you how you will use it. All I wish is for everyone to continue patronizing our store."

Yu Qingyan shot him a skeptical look. "Convenience, you say? You keep saying that. I kept wondering why you named your store Divine 'Convenience' Store. Now, I'm slowly getting it. Can I expect your new products to also fall in the same category?"

"Of course, you can count on it, Miss Yu."

Yu Qingyan rolled her eyes but didn't press further. Instead, she reached into her spatial ring and placed several neatly stacked pouches on the counter. Knowing that she wouldn't be able to put down the store's products anytime soon, she already withdrew most of her funds and kept them in the spatial ring she seldom used so she could always be prepared for these purchases.

Oh, how she wished she could become the store's Official Distributor soon. She'd go out and spread the gospel of the Heavenly Dew Soda.

Lin Mo's eyes gleamed as he quickly calculated the total. That was a massive order, exactly the kind he loved.

Yu Qingyan narrowed her eyes. "There's no such thing as a special promotion, is there?"

Yu Qingyan stared at Lin Mo as her lips curved up in a pleasant grin. "How generous. Or is this special treatment?"

When Yu Qingyan returned to the counter, Lin Mo finished packing her order with practiced ease before sliding in a chilled bottle of Heavenly Dew Soda of her, "Here, Miss Yu. A complimentary refreshment for our valued customer."

Yu Qingyan eyed the soda, then Lin Mo, before reluctantly picking it up. "You… you just want me to keep buying these, don't you?"

Lin Mo smirked. "Guilty as charged."

She opened it and took a sip before letting out a satisfied sigh. "…Fine. Add the box you prepared."

Lin Mo's grin widened. "Perfect. Your total will be 45 high-grade spirit stones after the Golden Patron discount."

"Take it." Although sounding a little miffed, she handed the pouches filled with spirit stones to Lin Mo.

As soon as they finalized the transaction, two system notifications popped up in front of him.
