In the depths of his mind, he saw a newborn infant, his own infant form, lying motionless in a cradle.

The infant was Yhwach, the Quincy King, reborn into a world filled in darkness.

His Mind After 90 Years

He was now a young Yhwach, now capable of speech and movement, standing before a group of loyal followers.

His charisma was undeniable, his presence commanding.

He spoke of unity, of a future where the Quincy would rise above all. He spoke with knowledge and wisdom of the truth of the Soul Society's corrupt system.

His words were not just heard; they were felt, resonating deep within the hearts of those who listened. For their King granted them power and purpose.

The Quincy Faction was born, its foundation laid upon Yhwach's vision and the unwavering loyalty of his followers.

His Strength After 9 Years

Yhwach stood face-to-face with Yamamoto, the Captain-Commander of the Soul Society. The clash of their powers was cataclysmic, shaking the very fabric of the world.

However, he lost the war and slept again to restore his powers once more in the darkness. For the final war where he will reign supreme.

Over Nine Days, He Shall Recover the World

The Quincy King, Yhwach seated upon a grand throne, his expression one of serene dominance. With the eyes of the Almighty closed as he gazed at the world that will soon change with his grasp of the Soul King's powers.

He had absorbed Mimihagi and the Soul King, his power now absolute beyond anything imaginable.

The world lay at his feet, and he toyed with his adversaries, including Ichigo and his companions, as a cat plays with a mouse.

His vision of a new world was within reach, a world where he reigned supreme where his father was no longer humiliated as a linchpin and he would bring a world without death.

But then, the memories turned dark. Yhwach stood defeated as he underestimated his opponents, his body broken, his spirit shattered.

Ichigo had emerged victorious, his resolve unyielding. Yhwach's plans had crumbled, his dreams dashed.

The world he sought to reshape remained unchanged, and he was left to confront the consequences of his ambition.

It was so close. Yet so far…

As the memories faded, Huo Yuhao's consciousness returned to the present, his mind was in a tumultous state as he calmly breathed.

"Where…?" Huo Yuhao asked.

He glanced at the blue sky with a defeated look.

"I was defeated? No… who am I?" As Huo Yuhao's confusion reached its peak. His memories coalesced and found unity.

"I see… I am Huo Yuhao, and the Quincy King." That was the solution he came up with.

He grinned. Thinking it was ridiculous. He swore he had plans of reviving himself in the previous world. He had only allowed them to win for a moment. No… perhaps it was meaningless to think about it now.

He was now in another world and his goals were different.

He had lost. Huo Yuhao felt frustration. He knew that he lost because he toyed with them too much. If he had gone for the kill, he would have won. It was all within his grasp, however, he couldn't even finish his dream of creating a new world. Not only that…

Huo Yuhao was deeply confused with his memories as having two personalities was a sudden change without any prior notice.

In his feelings, there was a sense of peace and silence. He didn't move from his spot of staring at the blue sky as he felt too defeated. Only after several minutes did he move.

His ambitions had fallen so he felt that he no longer desired to rule the world anymore.

Huo Yuhao stood up and sat down next to the fire and grilled the fishes with a somber yet detached look.

"What am I supposed to do?" He asked.

He was lost. Having lost the second war, he contemplated. Huo Yuhao didn't understand how he arrived to this strange world.

Maybe it was his incarnation—a transcendental power related to the Soul King. He never once completely absorbed the Soul King's powers.

Even so, it was unfathomable. There was no other reason behind his transmigration.

As the fish finished grilling, there was a rustling sound from the river.

"How fragrant!"

He looked towards the source of the sound, and saw two people walking along the side of the stream.

The person walking in front was a girl who looked to be around fifteen or sixteen, and had long black hair that was tied into a ponytail behind her.

She wore a set of light blue, form-fitting warrior's robes, which seemed to outline her budding and delicate body that was filled with youth.

She had phoenix-like eyes, which were both big and bright.

She also had a raised nose, an almost perfect oval face, and a pretty and delicate face that was slightly happy as she fixed her gaze on Huo Yuhao's roasted fish.

The person following behind her was a youth that seemed to be of the same age as her.

His slender body was tall and straight, whilst his short, deep blue hair shone with a jade-like luster under the sunlight. Although he wasn't old, he gave people a sort of scholarly feeling.

His handsome face had a lazy yet warm smile on it, and his hands were rested on the back of his head.

He also gazed in Huo Yuhao's direction with an interested look. However, he wasn't looking at the roasted fish, but at Huo Yuhao himself.

"…" Huo Yuhao turned back to the fire with a lack of interest.

Xiao Ya not able to read the ambiance ran towards Huo Yuhao in high spirits. A greedy, hungry look appeared on her face, "Little brother, are you selling this roasted fish? It smells so good! How did you make it?"

"…" Huo Yuhao glanced at the girl with annoyance.

"You lack mannerism." Huo Yuhao coldly replied. If he had his previous strength, her head would have been separated from her body by now.

However, there was a strong feeling of not wanting to harm anyone. So he decided to just let it go despite the humiliation.

"I-I'm sorry. Hehehe… I was rude." Xiao Ya scratched her head. Bei Bei smiled bitterly at the exchange.

"You may take a few as long as you leave afterwards. Then… don't bother me." Huo Yuhao closed his eyes.

"Really?! Thank you, then I won't be polite." Xiao Ya grabbed a fish and ate it. Her eyes had a star like a cat tasting something good.

At that moment, the youth that had been following the girl walked over. He had a helpless look on his face as he raised his hand and greeted Huo Yuhao. Then he said to the girl, "Xiao Ya, this little brother hasn't even eaten yet, yet you've already started eating."

Xiao Ya's beautiful eyes widened as she angrily retorted, "What did you just call me?"

The youth immediately raised his hands in surrender, "Fine, Teacher Xiao Ya, that should be fine, right?"

Xiao Ya stared at him coldly and said, "That's the way that it should be. You should pay attention to your status." Although she wasn't that old, her gaze was filled with a charming look.

The onlooking youth couldn't help but have his expression turned blank.

Huo Yuhao, who was to the side, didn't care about their exchanges. He sat and ate a single fish busy contemplating.

Bei Bei glanced at Huo Yuhao.

'Reserved and silent. He carries an air of solemnity and royalty.' Bei Bei thought that Huo Yuhao wasn't an ordinary kid.

He seemed too quiet and busy minded, unable to comprehend his emotions and thoughts. Bei Bei introduced himself.

"I'm Bei Bei and she's Xiao Ya. Little brother, what's your name?"

"My name?" Huo Yuhao hasn't thought much about whether he should use his current name or not.

However…

"Huo Yuhao." He muttered.

Huo Yuhao thought that it didn't matter what his name was. Bei Bei seemed a lot more mannered and respectful than Xiao Ya, so he answered, "You may take one."

Huo Yuhao thought it was necessary to gather more information so his pride had to be put aside.

He felt it in his body.

He was weak. The incarnation vessel he possessed was far too weak to use his powers. If he tried to use the Almighty, his eyes would bleed.

Not only that, Reishi didn't exist in this world.

The power known as Spirit Energy is a foreign power a bit similar in theory but a different building block compared to the Soul King's Reishi. There was another powerful entity that possessed this power.

However, the building blocks of this power was far too weak compared to Reishi.

He needed a lot of spirit power just to convert it into Reishi.

So he was contemplating on ways to regain his power. Although he didn't have the desire to rule the world. He still desired to live. Yhwach—no, Huo Yuhao feared death. Every living being feared it.

The oblivion he felt during his birth was a terrible experience. If one dies then they'd face that oblivion for eternity. Without being able to breathe, think, feel, or sense.

Bei Bei smiled and nodded, "Thank you." He sat next to Xiao Ya and ate the fish with a bit of surprise from his expression while Xiao Ya gobbled up the fishes Huo Yuhao had cooked.

Huo Yuhao continued to cook the remaining fishes while busy thinking and eating. He was moving his body automatically, thinking of ways and decided to talk.

"The two of you… where are you from?" He needed information. He had a keen sense that he might be able to gather relevant information besides Huo Yuhao's memories that didn't contain as much information regarding the world.

The level of information he needs, are opportunities to regain his power.

"We came from Shrek Academy!" Xiao Ya happily answered while waiting for the fishes to finish grilling.

"Shrek Academy… where is this place?" Huo Yuhao remembered that Shrek Academy was a great place to gain information and ways to learn more about this spirit energy power.

"Just head straight from this river and then turn right left! Go straight to the left then…-" Xiao Ya continued to share information.

Huo Yuhao asked another information, "What's the requirements of joining Shrek Academy?"

Bei Bei started to explain the requirements such as soul power of at least 10 rank, age 6-12, having an exceptional martial soul with great potential, or getting a recommendation.

"Little Brother, are you interested in going to Shrek Academy?" Bei Bei asked.

Huo Yuhao felt strange about being called 'Little Brother' but decided not to act upon it. This world's culture seemed different from his previous world. So he had to adapt like he had always done in his previous life.

"Yes," Huo Yuhao answered with an expressionless look.

"We can recommend you to the school if you join our Tang Sect, your grilled fish is so delicious. How about becoming our Tang Sect's chef?"

"No." Huo Yuhao coldly answered without any hesitation.

Huo Yuhao wasn't interested in being held down by any organization. Tang Sect would require him to get involved in politics. He still held pride as the Quincy King. Even if he has become Huo Yuhao, he would never allow something like that.

"Hahaha…" Bei Bei scratched his head embarrased.

"Xiao Ya- no Teacher Tang Ya… you really wanted to invite him just for that reason?" Instead of facepalming, it seemed like this Bei Bei person was already aware of her antics.

Huo Yuhao stood up and glanced at the direction of the Great Star Dou Forest.

Huo Yuhao decided he had gathered enough information to proceed with his plans. He wanted to experiment on this Spirit Ring if he can convert it into Reishi.

Bei Bei said with a doubtful look to warn him, "Little brother Huo, this is the desolate countryside, and isn't that far away from the Great Star Dou Forest where soul beasts wander. Just where do you intend to go?"

Huo Yuhao didn't answer, he grabbed his clothes that had already dried from the tree branch. He walked away from the two after he'd packed his clothes into his bag.

Afterwards, he turned around and left under Tang Ya's slightly astonished gaze.

"He couldn't really want to go into the Great Star Dou Forest, could he?" Tang Ya gazed at Huo Yuhao's shrinking back as she pondered.

Bei Bei shook his head and said, "I can't be sure. I can vaguely sense that he possesses soulforce, but it's very weak. It also seems that he's alone. This is truly somewhat strange."
