Douluo Dalu: Qian Renxue's Younger Brother

Chapter 227: 223. Detoxification

-

Following Qian Renjue's command, the Blue Silver Domain silently spread outward.

A yellow soul ring rose beneath Ah Yin, her first soul ring flashing brightly.

Endless Vitality!

The Blue Silver Grass beneath the Mandala Snake suddenly glowed, lush and vibrant, injecting life into the snake's body.

Its wounds slowly began to heal, and its rolling body gradually came to a stop.

Confused, it couldn't comprehend what was happening, but driven by an instinct for revenge, it fixed its blood-red eyes on Tang San and his master, Yu Xiaogang, opening its gaping maw as if to attack again.

However, a sudden, overwhelming sense of danger and oppression washed over the snake, forcing it to retreat.

Hissing in alarm, it twisted its body and fled deep into the Hunting Soul Forest.

Hiss...

"What's going on?"

Tang San heard the noise and saw the Mandala Snake escaping. He was confused; he had clearly struck a vital point of the soul beast.

"Teacher, that soul beast is getting away!" Tang San said anxiously, trying to stand and chase after it.

However, his legs wobbled, and he found himself utterly drained of strength, his body feeling hollow.

Sigh...

Yu Xiaogang let out a mournful sigh, shaking his head in sorrow.

He hadn't expected that after paying such a heavy price, the Mandala Snake would still escape.

He pulled Tang San back, cautioning him, "Xiao San, it's not worth it. We need to return as soon as possible."

"But, Teacher…" Tang San wanted to argue, but when he saw the arrow still lodged in Yu Xiaogang's right eye, he swallowed his words.

It wasn't just Yu Xiaogang's severe injuries; Tang San himself was weak and disoriented from exhaustion.

"Xiao San, we have no other options," Yu Xiaogang said, his face pale, drenched in blood.

"I understand, Teacher," Tang San replied reluctantly, his gaze lingering on the direction in which the snake had fled.

He had just agreed to absorb the Mandala Snake's soul ring.

"Xiao San, we need to leave now," Yu Xiaogang urged, knowing he was already poisoned, and that Tang San alone couldn't guarantee their survival in the forest.

"I understand, Teacher," Tang San repeated, unable to let go of the thought of the soul ring he had just committed to absorbing.

Today's events had been truly strange, but he had no time to dwell on them.

He bent down, attempting to help Yu Xiaogang to his feet.

Thud!

Yu Xiaogang collapsed again, groaning in pain. Tang San's eyes widened in shock. "Teacher, you're poisoned!"

"What?" Yu Xiaogang followed Tang San's gaze down and saw with his remaining left eye that his legs were horribly swollen, the skin stretched taut and turning a deep purple.

In a flash of insight, Tang San suddenly understood how his teacher had been poisoned.

Luo Sanpao had been bitten by the Mandala Snake, right in the groin.

Since Yu Xiaogang's mutated Beast Spirit and his body were one, the poison had transferred to him.

---

Meanwhile, Ah Yin clung tightly to Qian Renjue's waist, her head resting against his neck.

She bared her fangs and gently bit down on his throat, her tongue flicking as she licked the wound, drinking his blood while maintaining the Blue Silver Domain.

The influx of blood made Ah Yin flush, her body trembling as she rubbed against Qian Renjue.

He furrowed his brow, holding onto her quivering form, his body reacting involuntarily to her actions.

"Enough, Ah Yin," Qian Renjue said, voice strained.

"Understood, Master," Ah Yin whispered softly, licking his neck clean before reluctantly pulling away.

As she was about to step back, a strong force pulled her back into his arms, causing her to stumble and let out a soft moan.

---

Tang San, realizing the severity of Yu Xiaogang's condition, quickly made three vertical cuts on his master's swollen legs, causing black, foul-smelling blood to gush out.

Yu Xiaogang screamed in agony, the pain so intense that he wet himself, his body convulsing from the release of pressure.

"Teacher, bear with me. I'm going to remove the arrow now," Tang San said, grabbing the arrow lodged in Yu Xiaogang's right eye and yanking it out.

Blood spurted out, and Yu Xiaogang screamed once again, rolling on the ground in pain.

Tang San quickly chewed some herbs and applied them to his teacher's wounds to stop the bleeding.

Suddenly, a terrifying roar echoed from the depths of the Hunting Soul Forest.

Tang San, smelling the blood around them, realized they had to leave quickly. "Teacher, we must leave now."

"Yes, let's go," Yu Xiaogang gasped, more disheveled and desperate than ever before.

---

After over an hour of arduous travel, as the sun began to set and darkness crept across the sky, Yu Xiaogang and Tang San finally neared the edge of the Hunting Soul Forest.

Both collapsed in exhaustion.

Unbeknownst to Tang San, he had been infected by a mixed type of snake venom, mistaking it for the lingering effects of the Mandala Snake's poison.

"Xiao San, in our current condition, it will be months before we can return to the forest," Yu Xiaogang murmured from where he lay on the ground, still struggling to adjust to his new one-eyed vision.

"Teacher, what do you mean?" Tang San asked in confusion, glancing at a lone bamboo stalk nearby.

"That bamboo is our last option," Yu Xiaogang replied, knowing full well that Tang San, being a Twin Spirit Master, couldn't afford to delay his cultivation.

The potential of his Blue Silver Grass was already limited.

"If we don't absorb it now, it will only hinder your future progress."
