Chapter 241: 237. Qian Daoliu Moves
Unknowingly, Bibi Dong had fallen asleep, resting her head on her seat, slipping into a dream.
After some time, in a haze, she heard Hu Liena's laughter.
Her soft, curvaceous body bumped into a warm embrace, with a familiar heartbeat.
She was gently lifted and laid down, with a warm cloak covering her elegant figure.
The scent of delicate flowers lingered near her nose, and behind her head was a soft pillow.
The teasing voice of Qian Renxue echoed nearby, "Jue, why are you hesitating? You're the Holy Son; it's up to your sister to supervise you."
Then came Qian Renjue's helpless complaint, "Sister, take care of Mom. Once I'm done, we can go home."
"Nana, bring over the documents you've organized."
"Yes, Senior Brother, I will help you," Hu Liena responded cheerfully.
Bibi Dong's long eyelashes trembled.
The faint light was too bright, and in her vision, figures appeared and disappeared. A golden figure had already taken off his cloak and was sitting at the edge of the chair, wearing a crown.
She lay resting on Qian Renxue's lap, who leaned against Qian Renjue, while Hu Liena stood nearby, sorting things with a smile.
Bibi Dong closed her eyes again, a smile playing on her lips.
If possible, she wished she could just sleep like this forever.
"Didn't you learn how to review documents while undercover?" Qian Renjue teased.
"Stop talking. Your sister wants to nap for a bit too," Qian Renxue replied.
"Alright."
Seeing that Qian Renxue was of no help, Qian Renjue shifted his attention to his junior sister. "Nana, do you want to learn how to do this?"
"Huh? Why would I need to learn that?" Hu Liena blinked, looking puzzled at Qian Renjue, who was still wearing the crown.
"If you learn well, you can help your Senior Brother. Would you like that?" Qian Renjue coaxed gently.
"Help Senior Brother?" Hu Liena blushed as she met his warm, violet gaze and nodded repeatedly, her face turning red.
"Of course, I'd love to help!"
"Good! Excellent. In the future, you'll be my administrative elder and assist me with handling affairs," Qian Renjue said confidently.
"Really? Senior Brother, you won't trick me, right?" Hu Liena asked, her face full of excitement.
"Of course, I'm serious!" Qian Renjue lowered his voice but spoke with firm conviction.
He didn't want to be stuck reviewing and writing documents every day. He needed someone to share the burden.
"Thank you, Senior Brother. I'll work hard and learn properly," Hu Liena smiled brightly, immersed in the joy of being able to assist Qian Renjue.
"Ahem, but you're still young. Your main focus should still be on cultivation," Qian Renjue coughed awkwardly.
While he wanted to offload tasks, Hu Liena still needed to focus on her training.
"Yes, I understand," Hu Liena nodded seriously, full of determination.
Qian Renxue suppressed a laugh, never expecting her brother to be so sneaky.
What's more amusing was that the foxy girl seemed to be enjoying every moment of it.
"My brother is amazing!"
…
By noon, when Qian Renjue carried Bibi Dong back to their residence, they saw seven beams of light darting from the mountaintop toward the direction of Tian Dou City.
The beams resembled meteors, swift and majestic.
"Hm?" Qian Renxue raised her eyes toward Heaven Dou City, only able to catch glimpses of dark silhouettes in the sky.
"What is it, Sister?" Qian Renjue asked, pausing his steps.
"Nothing," Qian Renxue shook her head, a bit puzzled. "Why did Grandpa take the entire backbone of the Spirit Hall with him to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan? If enticing them doesn't work, is he planning on using force?"
Bibi Dong, lying in Qian Renjue's arms, also noticed the beams of light and was slightly confused.
"We're home now, Mom," Qian Renjue said softly.
"Hm?" Bibi Dong withdrew her gaze and teasingly pinched Qian Renjue's cheek.
"Don't you have any sense of responsibility? We haven't even stepped inside the house yet."
…
By dusk, golden light bathed the spire of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan's tower, casting a rainbow of colors.
Six or seven green spots fell from the sky like drops of rain, heading downward.
Inside the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan's grand hall, the decor was ancient and stately, with luxurious touches everywhere.
A magnificent crystal chandelier illuminated the room, reflecting off the ornate wooden sculptures and antiques lining the walls.
The grandeur of the hall was evident without being overwhelming or crowded.
This was where the clan's leader, Ning Fengzhi, handled the clan's daily affairs.
The entire atmosphere was serene and elegant.
But today, a bit of commotion disturbed the peace.
A six-year-old girl with short pink hair lay sprawled on the desk, pouting with displeasure.
"Daddy, why won't you play with me anymore?"
"My dear Rongrong, could you please get down? I don't want you to fall," Ning Fengzhi said, extending his hand with a helpless smile, his demeanor gentle and refined.
"No way! I'm not getting down unless Daddy plays with me or takes me shopping," Ning Rongrong protested, rolling around on the desk in her short skirt.
At that moment, two figures—Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo—flashed into the room, standing on either side of the desk, worried that their precious little princess might tumble off.
"Alright, Rongrong. If you don't want to get down, that's fine. Just be careful, okay?" Ning Fengzhi said, his face filled with doting affection.
"Hehe," Ning Rongrong giggled, sitting back down on the desk, satisfied.
"Does that mean Daddy will play with me now?"
"Not right now. Isn't it time for you to be training, Rongrong?" Ning Fengzhi deflected.
"Training is so boring! Sitting there like a piece of wood," Ning Rongrong grumbled, resting her chin on her hands.
"Unless Daddy takes me to see the little goldfish again, hehe."
Ning Fengzhi sighed, knowing his daughter was bargaining even for training.
"Once you break through level ten, Daddy will take you outside again," he promised.
"What? How long will that take?" Ning Rongrong pouted angrily. "If Daddy won't take me, I'll go play with Grandpa Sword and Grandpa Bone!"
"You'll leave Daddy to sulk here all alone."
"Haha, don't worry. Grandpa will take you flying around soon," Bone Douluo laughed, nodding eagerly.
Just as Sword Douluo was about to speak, his sharp brows suddenly furrowed in alarm.
His aura surged toward the hall's entrance.
"Who goes there?!"
Bone Douluo froze, his face changing instantly.
His spirit rings flared to life, and a bone dragon's shadow materialized in the hall as valuable antiques swayed from the force. A dark vortex appeared on the desk as he prepared to send Ning Rongrong away.
But then,
thud!
Sword Douluo's momentum was halted abruptly as a golden sword aura pierced through, shattering the black vortex on the desk.
"Fengzhi, quickly! Protect Rongrong!" Bone Douluo shouted in urgency, positioning himself in front of Ning Rongrong.
The Seven Kill Sword hovered beneath the crystal chandelier, radiating a chilling murderous intent.
Ning Fengzhi, holding the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda in his hand, felt his body tense.
He didn't know who had come, but he was certain of one thing: their arrival was no joke, and among them was someone as powerful as Uncle Sword.
