After Ye Lingling reminded Yufeng and Osler of their third soul skills, Tianlin recalled the soul beast they were searching for.

A speed-type and a flying-type soul beast — weren't these Dark Night Demons perfect choices for Osler and Yufeng?

"Senior Lingling, Gu Ran, change the battle plan. Go wake up Osler and the others. I'll handle these two soul beasts" Tianlin instructed. As he finished speaking, he summoned the Demon Sword and soared into the air.

The two Dark Night Demons were quite alert. They noticed Tianlin's movements and realized they had been discovered. However, since only one person approached them they chose to attack instead of fleeing.

One Dark Night Demon bared its fangs and lunged toward Tianlin while the other, with bloodshot eyes, launched a soul shock attack.

"Quite a coordinated assault — a physical attack combined with a mental attack. That's a tough combo for most people to handle. But unfortunately, you're up against me" Tianlin grinned and focused on the Dark Night Demon casting the soul shock "Let's start with you.Golden Flame Burns the Soul!"

Golden flames ignited in Tianlin's eyes clashing with the Dark Night Demon's soul attack. The overwhelming power of his ultimate fire crushed the mental attack in an instant.

"Ahh!!" The Dark Night Demon screamed sharply writhing in pain. The agony of a burning soul was far worse than physical suffering.

Tianlin held back from unleashing his full strength. If he had used the Golden Flame Soul-Destroying Power, he could have killed the Dark Night Demon outright. But he wanted to preserve the soul ring for Osler and Yufeng.

The agonized scream echoed through the forest waking everyone. There was no need for Ye Lingling to alert them further — the entire group rushed out.

By then Tianlin was already engaged in combat with the second Dark Night Demon.

The creature flashed and split into three identical figures — its Phantom Body skill.

Dugu Yan concerned for Tianlin's safety, prepared to assist. "Let's help Xiaotian!"

But Qin Ming stopped her "Hold on. A mere thousand-year soul beast won't trouble him. Let's see just how powerful he has become."

Meanwhile Tianlin faced the illusions calmly. "Hah! An illusion? That won't work on me. Immortal Wind and Cloud Body Technique! Drunken Immortal Moon-Gazing Step!"

Employing both Shushan body techniques simultaneously, Tianlin split into three identical figures, each moving with bewildering speed. The three versions of him wielded the Demon Sword, slashing at the illusions.

The two phantom forms shattered instantly, leaving only the real Dark Night Demon — now wounded and its arm pierced by the Demon Sword.

"Osler, Yufeng! Come take care of this one!" Tianlin called out.

With a flick of his sword, he flung the Dark Night Demon's body toward the group.

Qin Ming quickly shouted "Osler, go first! Don't hesitate!"

Osler nodded, transforming into a cheetah. "First Soul Skill: Leopard Shadow Assault!" He pounced on the injured Dark Night Demon and his sharp claws tearing through it with ease.

A purple soul ring emerged floating above the defeated beast. Osler wasted no time in drawing it toward himself and sitting cross-legged to absorb it.

With Osler occupied Tianlin shifted his focus to the remaining Dark Night Demon. Having endured Tianlin's initial soul attack the soul beast had just regained its senses. But upon seeing its companion slain, it chose to flee rather than fight.

The Dark Night Demon blended seamlessly into the night, its pitch-black body camouflaged by the forest's shadows.

"You think you can escape? Dream on!" Tianlin sneered, locking onto his target "Activate Right Leg Bone Teleportation!"

His external soul bone granted him heightened perception and with the right leg bone's teleportation ability Tianlin instantly appeared beside the fleeing creature and His Demon Sword slashed down severing one of the Dark Night Demon's arms.

Desperate the beast continued its escape but no matter where it ran Tianlin would reappear in its path, inflicting more wounds with each strike.

From a distance Qin Ming observed with awe "Incredible! Xiaotian only has three soul rings, yet his combat power rivals that of a high-level soul master."

Even Qin Ming a seasoned fighter admitted that he might not fare better than Tianlin in this battle.

Suddenly the Dark Night Demon stopped running. It stood still its face devoid of hope.

"Strange… Why isn't it running anymore? Has it given up?" Tianlin mused.

Deciding not to question his luck Tianlin kicked the Dark Night Demon toward Yufeng "Your turn, Yufeng!"

Understanding the gesture Yufeng flapped his wings and launched his attack "First Soul Skill: Wing Blade!"

His wings sharpened like blades, slashed through the Dark Night Demon, decapitating it in one swift motion.

Even in death, the creature's face displayed relief It had been tormented so severely by Tianlin that it seemed grateful for the end.

Yufeng sat down to absorb the soul ring. This Dark Night Demon specialized in mental attacks — something that could significantly enhance Yufeng's combat style.

The rest of the group gathered around Osler and Yufeng, forming a protective circle. Tianlin meditated to recover his soul power.

Three hours later as dawn broke, Yufeng was the first to finish absorbing his soul ring. The sound of birdsong accompanied his awakening.

"Senior Yufeng what's your third soul skill?" Tianlin asked, curious. He remembered that Yufeng's original third soul skill was Storm Rising, a single-target physical attack. But with a different soul beast there might have been changes.

"It's called Dark Wind. It's a single-target skill, but instead of a physical attack, it strikes the opponent's spirit. It's a mental attack" Yufeng explained.

Tianlin nodded "A mental attack? That's rare and much harder to defend against. Excellent!"

Qin Ming smiled in satisfaction. "A great addition to our team. With Yufeng's mental attacks, I can now devise more diverse strategies."

Soon after Osler finished absorbing his soul ring as well. His new skill was exactly as Tianlin expected — Leopard Shadow Clone. The skill allowed him to create two clones and each with 50% of his original attack power and capable of striking once.

For a thousand-year soul skill this was quite impressive.

With Yufeng and Osler's new abilities, the Emperor Team had grown significantly stronger. One specialized in physical attacks, while the other excelled at mental attack — making them a formidable duo against any opponent's backline.

Their successful hunt marked a turning point for the team. Everyone knew that future battles would be even more exciting with such powerful soul skills at their disposal.
