Dragon Ball: The Strongest Training

Chapter 64: Blood-Colored Glaze

Sial hovered in mid-air, her eyes closed, using her psychic energy to pull "Twilight Star" toward her. A soft, milky-white glow radiated from her body, making her appear pure and divine, giving off an aura that could only be admired from afar.

The surface of the Red Giant rumbled, deep cracks forming as its rigid crust began to fold and wrinkle.

The immense pressure from within the planet widened the fractures, releasing an intense crimson glow from below.

Seeing this, Sial felt a surge of joy—this scene matched the ancient prophecy exactly:

"When Twilight Star returns, the path shall shine bright, and the land shall sink into an ocean of fire."

She remained fully focused, channeling her entire psychic energy into summoning Twilight Star, completely unaware that danger was approaching.

The Hidden Threat

Zarveza lay in hiding, absorbing the pure high-energy minerals native to the Persean System.

His power surged nearly tenfold in a short span of time.

Instead of assisting Dre, he chose to stay concealed, waiting for Sial to complete her ritual.

The Persean warriors observing Sial were so mesmerized that they failed to notice Zarveza's presence.

CRACK!

A thunderous rupture echoed across the Red Giant's surface.

The fissure widened, and Twilight Star's glow intensified, drenching the Persean sky in crimson light.

Zarveza's eyes gleamed with insatiable greed.

Suddenly—

A powerful energy blast shot straight at Sial!

She snapped out of her momentary joy, spotting the blinding projectile racing toward her.

She attempted to teleport away, but her body was frozen in place.

A crippling sense of helplessness overwhelmed her.

Her face paled.

Krillin's Intervention

Krillin, still locked in a power struggle with Dre, sensed something was wrong.

He glanced toward Sial—and saw the devastating energy wave hurtling toward her.

If it hit…

She would be completely obliterated.

"No!"

Krillin shouted, instantly channeling more power into his Kamehameha, making the energy wave swell to several times its original size.

Dre's smirk vanished as his own energy was swallowed whole.

"Zarveza, why aren't you saving me?!"

Dre's screams echoed as he was engulfed, his entire body twisting grotesquely under the immense force.

But Krillin ignored him.

His only focus was the attack on Sial.

Feeling the colossal energy within it, he knew—even if he went all out, he couldn't block it.

There was only one choice.

Instant Transmission.

The energy blast was just inches from Sial.

She closed her eyes in despair, awaiting her end.

Then—

Krillin suddenly appeared in front of her, shielding her with his body.

BOOM!

The blast struck him directly.

"Kuh…!"

Krillin let out a choked cough, blood splattering onto Sial's delicate face.

A thick cloud of smoke erupted, concealing their figures.

Krillin's entire body trembled, the agony unbearable.

His back was completely scorched, flesh charred and unrecognizable.

Brownish-red blood—burnt from the searing energy—dripped steadily onto the ground.

Sial only felt a faint warmth on her cheek.

Her body barely shook from the impact.

Slowly, she opened her eyes.

Krillin stood before her, shielding her with his own body.

But his face was drenched in sweat, contorted in excruciating pain.

Her heart pounded in panic.

She gently wiped the blood from his lips—and then saw his back.

Her entire body stiffened.

Her breath caught in her throat.

His back was a mangled mess of burnt flesh.

Tears welled in her eyes.

Krillin weakly lifted his hand, shielding her gaze.

"Don't look," he said, forcing a gentle smile.

The Awakening of Blood-Colored Eyes

Sial's mind went blank.

Then, in an instant—

Rage.

Unrelenting rage.

A searing fury erupted from deep within her very soul.

Krillin knew they couldn't afford to delay.

Zarveza's current power had exceeded a million—he had to evacuate Sial and the others immediately.

Despite the searing pain, Krillin forced himself into motion.

Breaking through the smoke, he threw his hands up to his forehead—

"Solar Flare!"

Zarveza, still admiring his own power, turned toward the clearing smoke, his eyes locked onto Sial.

But then—

"AAGH! MY EYES!"

The blinding flash caught him off guard, leaving him momentarily disoriented.

Krillin didn't hesitate—

He teleported back to the ship, bringing Sial with him.

But as soon as they materialized inside, Krillin staggered, collapsing to the ground.

"Hah… hah…"

He gasped heavily, hands trembling as he pulled a Senzu Bean from his gi.

He popped it into his mouth, slowly chewing.

Sial watched him, her glazed eyes turning crimson.

Her once-luminous eyes—

Now shone like bloodstained jewels.

Krillin's Final Order

Krillin's wounds healed instantly, and with a swift motion, he leapt to his feet.

His expression was dead serious.

"Skal, take Sial and retreat immediately!"

Skal, still in shock, hesitated before nodding numbly.

But Sial didn't move.

Krillin reached out to pull her along—

She slapped his hand away.

Her body trembled, but not from fear—

It was seething rage.

A dark, murderous aura seeped from her, her voice low and ice-cold:

"I'm going to kill him."

Krillin met her gaze—

Her once-glass-like irises were now a deep shade of blood-red.

She had completely lost herself to fury.

Krillin knew words wouldn't reach her right now.

"Skal, go."

"But the princess—" Skal hesitated.

"Trust me."

Krillin's voice was calm but firm.

Then, he cupped Sial's face, forcing her to look directly at him.

"Hide. Do not come out. No matter what."

Sial didn't respond.

Her eyes remained blood-red, clouded with wrath.

"Did you hear me?!"

Krillin snapped.

For a brief moment, a hint of clarity flickered in Sial's eyes.

She nodded slightly—then, her gaze was once again consumed by crimson rage.

She clenched her fists, gripping a mysterious red chain tightly.

Krillin grabbed her, teleporting far away, placing her on the opposite side of the planet.

"Stay here. Do not move!"

Then—

He vanished again.

Sial stood there, staring in the direction he had gone, as if she could see the battlefield from miles away.

And as Krillin engaged Zarveza, she clutched the red chain even tighter.

Her blood-colored eyes glowed ominously.
