Chapter 877: Chapter 877:- Rin's Training under Lilith
Chapter 877: Chapter 877:- Rin's Training under Lilith
Rin Tatsuki, the female Divine Dragon, stood in the middle of the training ground with her eyes closed.
Her body stood still, and her eyes were closed.
Four wooden targets were on the four edges of the training ground. They constantly moved back and forth, changing their speed every few minutes.
The humanoid wooden figures held diamond-shaped wooden shields. As they moved back and forth, the shields always stayed in one position, guarding their upper bodies and heads.
A big ball of fire formed above her head.
The ball of fire then divided itself into two four smaller balls of flames.
The balls of fire then began to rotate extremely fast around her. At a certain point, from a distance, it looked like there was a ring of fire around Rin.
Gooo....!!!
The four fireballs hit the wooden targets within a second.
Boooom...!!!
The four wooden targets were destroyed. There were even little craters in place of each wooden target.
Sigh...!!!
"This kind of training won't get me anywhere." Rin has done these exercises countless times in the Spiritual World, but she has made little progress so far.
Although her control was excellent, Rin wasn't satisfied. She felt that she could do more, that she could be more lethal in battle, but she didn't know how.
...
Meanwhile,
"Do you know where Aditya is?" Lilith asked one of the maids who was cleaning the corridor just outside of his office.
"I saw His Majesty and Lady Riya heading towards the teleportation array."
"Dammit! I missed my chance." Lilith was planning to have some fun with Aditya.
But it seemed she had already lost.
'To spend time with him, I even took a half-day leave.' Lilith suddenly found herself with nothing to do.
'Should I go back to school?' As soon as that thought came to her mind, she immediately shook her head. She just came from the academy. If she went back now, she would need to answer a lot of unnecessary questions and even lies.
'Then what should I do?'
She continued to think while walking towards the garden.
'Maybe I should check on my daughter.' She was about to turn around and look for Sasha, but then she stopped.
'Oh...right! Sasha is on a mission.' This was Sasha's first mission as a part of the Shadow Guardian.
'What was her Mission again?'
'Oh....yeah!! It was to silently eliminate the Captain of Knights who had been capturing villages of the Baron's territory and selling them outside of the Istarin Empire.'
'I don't even understand what' so difficult about this mission.' The difficult part was to find solid evidence and gain information about the people who were working with the Knight Captain.
Boooom...!!
"Hmm?"
"What's that sound?"
Curiously, Lilith went to the training ground, where she found Rin.
...
"What are you doing?" Lilith asked. Since Aditya was with Riya, she had nothing else to do. Instead of sleeping in her room, she was more interested in learning what Rin was doing on the training ground.
"I am training!" Rin replied without losing focus on what she was previously doing. "Training? That's new." Lilith raised her eyebrows on hearing her response. She clearly looked surprised.
"Is there any particular reason why you suddenly started to train?" Before, Rin was just like her. Both of them had almost nothing to do, so their faces could be seen throughout the entire
dragon palace.
In fact, Rin had even more free time than Lilith did. At least, on some unfortunate days, she had to show her face in the Academy in order to not get fired or her salary reduced.
Rin stopped and glanced at Lilith. "You don't need a particular reason to train."
Rin also understood Lilith's character. After living here for so many days, anyone could see that this Succubus was motivated only to cause trouble and flirt with Aditya.
It's no wonder she is asking why she was training.
"Recently, I had too much free time, so I decided that instead of wasting my time, I'm going to start training." Lilith nodded her head.
"You don't look like the battle maniac type person to me? So there must be a reason." "Well, if I really had to give one, then it would be my failure not to provide enough assistance to Aditya during his battle against Robert." Rin still felt that if she had trained enough, she could have provided a lot more.
While she did train in the spiritual world, she felt that she was still lacking in many ways. She still hadn't perfected her powers yet.
"Rin, I would say that, among all the girls, you have contributed the most in that battle." Lilith wasn't just saying this to make her feel better. Her words were very sincere and they came from the bottom of her heart.
Rin took down the entire enemy's troops within a minute. If she hadn't done that, there would've been a lot of casualties. A lot of lives would've been lost.
And Soraya wouldn't have an army to run her empire now. So many things would have been different without what Rin did back then.
Rin just smiled and continued to train.
Using telekinesis, she pulled four giant boulders from the ground forcefully.
Each of the boulders weighed at least one ton.
The boulders began to rotate while revolving around Rin.
With each passing second, the rotation and revolving speed of the boulders started to
increase.
Seeing this, Lilith was intrigued. Since she had nothing else to do, she decided to watch for a little longer before deciding how she wanted to kill time until Aditya returned with Riya.
These four boulders would not be effective against 4th order cultivators, much less against fifth-order cultivators.
But with the power of high-speed rotation and revolving, Rin has made the four boulders at least 10 times, if not 20 times more dangerous. If hit, even a Beginner 5th mage might be
seriously injured.
"What do you think?" Rin asked.
Since Lilith had lived more than a thousand years, her advice might be useful.
"Well, it's already very effective. Mage-type cultivators would find it difficult to dodge such
high speed and powerful attacks."
Lilith's smirk grew wider as she folded her arms. Her sharp eyes assessed the boulders
spinning at dizzying speeds.
"It's a solid technique!" She admitted. In fact, it might work against novice 5th cultivators or might be useful when dealing with lots of lower-order cultivators.
This attack will be very effective against Mages.
Unlike warrior-type cultivators, whose stats are heavily focused on their strength, agility, durability, and stamina, mage-type cultivators' stats are heavily focused on Mana and Health. Not every cultivator in this world has the same stats. So, against mages, this kind of high-speed and powerful attack might be enough to take them out of the battle.
"But it's limited. It won't be as effective against agile opponents, especially those with enhanced durability or speed, like warrior-type cultivators or those trained in body reinforcement techniques." Rin nodded her head.
Rin frowned slightly. "Then what should I do? The speed is already high enough to make it
difficult for most mages to dodge."
"That's true,"
"But you need to think beyond just speed. Speed alone won't guarantee a hit against an experienced opponent. Instead, think about unpredictability and control. For instance, don't just rely on the boulders revolving in predictable patterns. Make them move erratically. Have them change directions mid-flight or break apart into smaller pieces and reassemble. Keep
your opponent guessing."
Rin tilted her head and began to think. She was seriously considering Lilith's advice. "Erratic movement... that could work."
"To be honest, I never thought of using my telekinesis powers in such a way."
Anything else?" Asking her for advice was the best choice.
After all, what she could learn on her own through practice was very time-consuming and limited, but having someone else give their perspective was very useful and educational. Lilith tapped her chin. "You could also use telekinesis to create secondary attacks. Imagine this: while your opponent is distracted dodging one boulder, you suddenly send another shooting straight at them from their blind spot. Or use debris, dust, or smaller fragments to obscure their vision, giving your main attack a chance to hit."
Rin nodded thoughtfully. "Blind spots and unpredictability. That's interesting." "And don't forget that telekinesis isn't just about throwing things. You could use it to restrain your opponent's movements, like binding their legs or arms mid-fight, which could create valuable openings. Combine offense and control, and you'll have something even an advanced warrior would struggle against."
Rin's lips curled into a small smile. "I see. So, instead of relying solely on brute force and
speed, I should focus on strategy and flexibility."
"Exactly!" Lilith said with a nod.
"Raw power is useful, but when paired with creativity and finesse, it becomes unstoppable." "Besides, you can further increase the power of your attacks if you switch from using boulders
to something else. For example, there are crystals that are more durable than boulders out there. There are metals which are 10 times if not a hundred times stronger than boulders."
"And why just stick with boulders when you can also use sharp weapons like spears or
projectiles."
"Well, I never really plan to use boulders in a battle. This is just for training. But your words have given me some ideas."
"I will have to trouble Aditya." In the end, Lilith's advice gave her a lot of useful insights and
ideas.
"Can you control this?" Lilith smirked as she quickly chanted a small spell and launched a
water ball the size of a human head at her.
Rin calmly stared at the approaching water ball.
In midway, the water ball stopped. Beautiful blue chains made out of water began to come out of the water ball.
The blue water chains extended towards Lilith.
Lilith gently touched one of the water chains. But suddenly, two chains wrapped around her
slender white arm.
The Succubus giggled before she effortlessly retraced her hand.
"Not bad!! But not good enough either!!" "There is barely any binding force in the water chains."
"Well, This is my limit. Since I have a very poor affinity with the Water element, I cannot
manipulate it. I entirely relied on my telekinesis to make the water chains." If she had water manipulation, then she could have manipulated the water chains to be many times stronger and more lethal than normal chains.
"Well, I also suck at using elemental attacks." Since Lilith had a very poor affinity with any
elements, she excelled in close combat and shadow manipulation, which allowed her to
become the deadliest Assassin in the whole world.
"What element are you good at?"
"Well, I can Manipulate Fire. However, my fire manipulation is not as lethal or strong as
Aditya's. He is in a different league."
"That's understandable." He is someone who can make geniuses look ordinary. Comparing with him will only lead to disappointment and depression.
"Lilith, why don't you fight me?" Rin felt that she had learned some valuable things and was
eager to try them in a real battle.
"Fight you?" Lilith wanted to refuse, but she was also interested in challenging herself
against a Telekinesis
user.
'In my 1000 years of experience, I have fought telekinesis users only a handful of times. And none of them was on Rin's level at using telekinesis. Maybe this battle will prove to be a learning experience for me as well.' With that thought, Lilith agreed to fight her.
"But we cannot spar here." This training ground was just too small for their power. "Maybe we can head to a remote island or something similar."
"You're right. Let's find Spencer." The Istarin Empire had many remote uninhabited islands
around the six continents. Many of these came with the territories that they took from other Empires, while some came as gifts that other emperors gave to please the Dragon Monarch.
Thank you very much to all those who sent support with valuable golden tickets. I hope we can
keep it up!!! I apologize for being so inconsistent. To be honest, my entire schedule has recently changed, and I still haven't adapted to this change.
