Eila’s Fate

Chapter 1: Eila- The Goddess’s Mistake

There is a saying that goes, "Everyone's fate is predetermined." But that was not the case with Eila.

In a world where werewolves roamed freely and magic thrived, fate was a carefully woven thread, designed by the powerful hands of gods. Among them, one goddess stood above all in the lives of werewolves—the Moon Goddess. From her grand palace upon the Moon, she watched over her children, blessing them with mates, power, and destiny. She had never once faltered in her duty—until the day she wrote the fate of a girl named Eila.

It was a simple mistake. A slip of the quill. A miscalculation in the grand design of the world. But even the smallest of errors could ripple into something uncontrollable, and soon, Eila's fate became something even the gods could not predict.

The Life of a Simple Girl

Eila was born in the sixteenth century, a time when life was simpler. People lived humbly, relying on hard work and nature's bounty. Magic existed, but it was not flaunted openly; it was a quiet force, guiding the hands of the gifted. The nobility indulged in luxury, while the common folk lived modestly, treasuring what little they had.

Eila's family, once wealthy, had known both privilege and loss. Her father's lineage had been one of prosperous merchants, but misfortune had struck her grandparents, forcing the family into a life of mediocrity. They no longer dined in grand halls or wore silks from distant lands. Instead, they lived within their means, surviving with careful effort and determination.

But it was her mother's past that held the weight of tragedy. She had been born into a line of powerful Alphas, leaders of a mighty pack that had ruled for generations. Their blood was strong, their wolves fierce, and their lands vast. Yet power always attracted enemies. One fateful night, an ambush led by a rival pack wiped out her family, leaving her with nothing but painful memories and the burden of survival.

With no home, no pack, and no title, Eila's mother had been forced to seek shelter among distant relatives—wolves who barely had enough to care for themselves, let alone an orphaned Alpha's daughter. Life had been cruel, but fate had not abandoned her completely. She found her mate, Eila's father, a kind-hearted yet simple man. Together, they built a new life, one that was neither extravagant nor desperate. It was peaceful. And in that peace, Eila was born.

A Child of the Moon

Eila was unlike the other children in her village. She was bright, full of laughter, and carried an energy that made her stand out. Her presence was warm, like the glow of the full moon in the midnight sky. She had her mother's fierce golden eyes and her father's gentle heart.

Though her family was no longer noble, Eila never felt lacking. She had a home, a loving family, and friends who cherished her. She would spend her days running through the dense forests, feeling the wind rush past her as if the world itself were embracing her spirit. She was wild yet kind, untamed yet thoughtful.

But beneath the surface, something was different about her.

The Moon Goddess's Mistake

The Moon Goddess had not meant for Eila's fate to be an anomaly. But the moment she made that mistake, it was as if a new force had been set in motion. Eila was supposed to have a path like any other—find her mate, embrace her wolf, and live the life written for her. But her destiny had been altered.

The first sign came when Eila turned ten. She had always been perceptive, but now, she could sense things others could not. She could hear whispers in the wind, feel the emotions of people before they even spoke. At first, her family dismissed it as mere intuition. But as she grew, so did her unnatural abilities.

Wolves were gifted with strength, speed, and heightened senses, but Eila's gifts were something beyond that. They were unnatural even among the most powerful of her kind. She could heal wounds without touching them, call upon the elements without chanting a single spell. And the strangest of all—whenever she gazed upon the moon, she felt as though someone were watching her in return.

The elders of her village murmured among themselves. Was she blessed? Or was she cursed?

Her mother, who had once belonged to a family of Alphas, knew the dangers of standing out too much. Power was both a gift and a burden. And when power came without explanation, it only brought more questions, more fear.

The truth was, Eila was never meant to be ordinary. The mistake of a goddess had set her on a path that no one could foresee—not even the gods themselves.

A Fate Yet to Be Written

For now, Eila remained unaware of the weight of her destiny. She lived as any young girl would—laughing, running, dreaming. But fate does not wait forever. The world was shifting, and soon, the consequences of the Moon Goddess's mistake would unfold.

Would Eila rise to claim a fate that had never been meant for her? Or would she be lost in the chaos of a story rewritten by divine error?

Only time would tell.
