Chapter 38: Chapter 37 : No Turning Back
Noah's back hit the door with a quiet thud, his breath catching as Elias' lips ghosted over his collarbone. The café was silent except for the sound of their breathing, the occasional rustle of fabric as Elias tugged at Noah's shirt, exposing more of his skin.
"Tell me to stop," Elias murmured against his throat.
Noah didn't.
Instead, he curled his fingers into Elias' hair and pulled him down for another kiss, deep and urgent, like he was trying to drown in him.
Elias groaned, hands sliding down to Noah's waist, gripping tightly before lifting him off the ground with ease. Noah's legs instinctively wrapped around Elias' hips, his body pressed against the firm warmth of the other man.
The sensation sent a shiver down his spine.
Somewhere in the back of his mind, a voice whispered that this was reckless, that he was letting himself fall too quickly.
But another voice—louder, stronger—told him he didn't care.
Because right now, nothing else existed except the heat between them, the press of Elias' body against his, the way every touch felt like a spark catching fire.
Elias carried him through the dimly lit hallway, pushing open the door to the small private lounge behind the café. He barely managed to kick the door shut before pinning Noah against the nearest wall, his mouth trailing hot kisses down his jaw, his throat, lower—
Noah gasped, fingers tightening around Elias' shoulders. "Elias—"
Elias looked up at him, his black eyes dark with want. "You sure?"
Noah swallowed, his heart hammering against his ribs. He knew what this meant. Knew that once they crossed this line, there would be no going back.
But looking at Elias now—at the man who had somehow made his way into his life, into his thoughts, into the deepest parts of himself—Noah knew his answer.
"Yes," he whispered. "I want this."
A low curse slipped from Elias' lips before he crashed into Noah again, their bodies pressing together in a desperate, feverish need.
And as the night stretched on, as the world outside faded away, Noah realized something terrifying.
He wasn't just falling for Elias.
He had already fallen.
