Among the many creatures Hong Lu has crossed paths with, he harbors an innate hatred for Bloodfiends (vampires).

The source of his disdain stems from a past contact that ended in betrayal. A Bloodfiend feigning innocence tricked Hong Lu into an ambush that make his ehole office suffered the consequences. Though the betrayal cost him allies, Hong Lu emerged victorious—his disdain for vampires born from this treachery. Despite his charm and grace, this hidden hatred simmers beneath his outward calm, often showing in subtle jabs and unusually aggressive precision in battle against such foes.
