In Fishman Paradise, Arlong lounged on his beach chair, soaking in the sun before happily sipping his wine.
Sometimes these lowly humans proved useful—at least their food and drink outshone anything from Fishman Island.
Boom!
As he set down his glass, a blast rocked the air. The right wall exploded, scattering brick and stone.
"What's this? Enemies? Hachi, handle it."
Arlong glanced over lazily, not bothering to rise.
Years of dominating the East Blue had bred arrogance, blinding him to the Grand Line's second half, where fishmen were mere slave trader prizes.
"Brother Arlong! It's Chew!"
Hachi reached the shattered wall, eyes widening at the kissy-lipped fishman sprawled motionless. Lifting him, Hachi found him limp—lifeless.
"Chew? No way!"
Arlong leapt from his chair, landing beside Hachi. Touching Chew's body, he felt pulverized bones.
"Who did this? Who hurt my kin?!"
Eyes bloodshot, Arlong stared at Chew. A decade-long comrade from their Fishman Pirates days, now dead before him.
"Brother Arlong, could it be—ah!"
Hachi yelped as six arms shielded his chest. A massive force hurled him to the pond's edge, where he barely halted.
His six arms trembled, strength drained.
Crashing atop him was Kuroobi, shock frozen on his face, pupils dilated—another corpse.
"Who?! Who's doing this?!"
Arlong's eyes blazed. He stormed to his room, grabbed his serrated Shark Saw, and charged toward where Chew and Kuroobi had flown from.
Figures loomed in the distance. After a fleeting pause, Arlong retreated to his turf, waiting.
Chew and Kuroobi's mangled states signaled a strong foe. Here, with ponds and sea, was his turf.
"Heard you yelling from miles off. What's the rush? I'll send you to join them soon."
Allen wrapped an arm around Nami's slim waist. Though her cheeks flushed, seeing him dispatch two Arlong Pirate cadres with two fingers sparked hope.
What's a hug from Allen if it ends Arlong's grip on Cocoyasi Village for good?
Arlong ignored Allen, fixing a savage glare on Nami, half-leaning into him.
"Nami, he's your hired gun, huh? Perfect—I'll rip him apart in front of you, then torture every last Cocoyasi villager to death for my brothers!"
Arlong's fearsome reputation loomed large. As his murderous aura flared, everyone but Nami—held by Allen—and Nojiko—clutched at his side—recoiled.
"Scared of what? Listen to this clown brag. Piss me off, and I'll drag you to raze Fishman Island and gut Jinbe. Let him yap."
Allen stared at Arlong, unimpressed. It'd been ages since anyone dared spew such venom his way—he wasn't used to it.
"You… you know Brother Jinbe?"
Jinbe, one of the Seven Warlords, was Arlong's ace. Without that backing, how could he rule the East Blue?
Even sinking a warship wouldn't save him if Rogue Town's navy colonel came personally—he'd be crushed.
"Knowing Jinbe doesn't erase your sin of killing my kin!"
Arlong swung his Shark Saw down hard.
No sound, no ripple—the blade stopped in Allen's grip, not even nicking his skin.
No swordsman's skill, no iron-cutting edge—how could it pierce Allen?
He wasn't Garp, letting Monka hack his chest with an axe post-East Blue romp!
"Let… go!"
Arlong gritted his teeth, face red. The ground cracked under his force, but his weapon wouldn't budge from Allen's hand.
Allen ignored him, turning to Nami in his arms.
"How should we handle this guy?"
"I want to teach him a lesson… No, I want…"
"Kill him."
Nami faltered, but Nojiko cut in coldly.
Eyes shifted to Nojiko. Despite Arlong's tyranny over the Cocoyasi region, ordinary folk struggled to voice "kill him."
Her face burned with hate.
"He shot Bell-mère. I'll never forget her falling. Mr. Allen, please—kill him!"
Allen's hand gently ruffled Nojiko's hair, then pulled her to his other side. With a swift kick, he struck Arlong's chest.
Arlong soared, smashing through stone pillars, collapsing with blood trickling from his mouth.
"Stepping over an ant without killing it takes finesse—good thing I've got it."
Allen patted Nojiko's shoulder, eyeing Arlong coughing blood, downed.
"Want revenge? Do it yourself. He's got no fight left—I guarantee it."
Nojiko didn't hesitate. She grabbed a fallen flintlock, aimed at Arlong's head.
As she fired, Allen flicked a stone, cracking Arlong's skull. Nojiko's bullet pierced the breach, lodging in his brain.
Blood splattered. Nojiko stumbled back, pale, into Allen's arms.
The sisters trembled, staring at Arlong's corpse—fear or thrill, they couldn't tell.
"It's okay, it's over."
Only a certain LSP who was a former Haimi was comforting them gently.
