Finding My Voice In Her Skin

Chapter 11: [10]Body Maintenance!! Body Maintenance!!

It's been a week since her father apologized to her after living as a girl for seven days, and one thing Angel has realized since then is this:

"Ughhh! It won't untangle!"

Angel pouted, tugging at her comb as it snagged in her long, silver hair. Sure, it was still silky, but thanks to her less-than-regular bathing habits, tangles had become her new nemesis. She glared at her reflection in the mirror, still managing to look effortlessly stunning even with her slightly unkempt appearance.

'Of course,'

she thought,

'a natural beauty like me can pull off anything' .

She nodded in satisfaction, but seriously—who knew longer hair would be such a high-maintenance ordeal?

"Well, they do say 'beauty is pain,' don't they?"

Angel couldn't help but laugh at her own predicament. Sure, she might've boasted about her looks a few too many times, but at this point, wouldn't the readers get tired of hearing it in

EVERY.

SINGLE.

CHAPTER?

But what could she do? She wasn't some eloquent scholar with a thesaurus for a brain, and frankly, she didn't care enough to try.

Tilting her head, she stared at the ceiling, pondering her next move.

"Maybe I should take a bath…"

It had been three days, after all. Might as well, right?

With her parents out of the house, Angel grabbed her towel and headed back to her room, opening her cabinet with a playful hum.

"What should I pick today~?"

Her wardrobe options were… limited, to say the least.

A sundress and a handful of her old clothes from her days as a young man. Feeling particularly cute today, she decided the dress was the way to go. There was something oddly refreshing about the chilly sensation on her legs and belly—almost ticklish, really.

With that, she undressed, tossing her clothes into the laundry basket. Since her parents weren't home, she didn't bother covering up, casually strolling around the house in her birthday suit.

Why should she be embarrassed?

Every curve was in the right place, and it wasn't like she was trying to show off—it was her own home, after all! Unless some creep was going out of their way to peek through the windows, no one was going to see her but herself.

With that flawless justification in mind, Angel made her way to the kitchen, grabbing a sachet of Dove shampoo (her mom had finally decided to let her have her own). She snipped it open with scissors and, humming a cheerful tune, headed to the bathroom.

...

..

.

As she entered the bathroom, the first thing Angel did was put the opened sachet of Dove shampoo near the soap rack, that way it won't accidentally spill, and turned on the faucet so that there's water saved up for other people who may use the bathroom.

Angel looked around, scanning the bathroom. As of right now, the plastic pail barely has enough water for a proper bath...and now that Angel thought about it, she's all alone. If exploring her body was her agenda, now's the best time!

Previously she wasn't able to do it because her parents were around, but now's the perfect chance!

Angel gulped, wait..why would she gulp? This is her own body, dammit! If anything, she's done it more times when she was a young man, why is now any different?

She looked at the barely half-full plastic pail and nodded,

"Give and take, 3-5 minutes. This will be easy, no cap!"

"So with that in mind~"

Angel looked down at her own body mischievously, she's about to have a field day with this!

...

..

.

"Gosh!!"

Angel slumped down onto the cool bathroom floor, cheeks flushed deep crimson, breath coming out in shaky little gasps.

That… escalated quickly.

What was supposed to be a quick, harmless experiment had turned into—ugh—nearly an hour of losing control. She ran a hand through her now-messy hair, groaning into her palm.

Get a grip, Angel!

She had totally underestimated her new body, and it showed. What started as innocent curiosity had spiraled into something… a lot more intense.

"3-5 minutes, huh?"

she muttered under her breath, face still burning.

"Yeah, right."

After catching her breath, she stood up. The plastic pail is overflowing at this point..

"I think I really fucked up"

Angel said as she slowly took a bucket of water from the tabo and poured water over her head..

"Still..it genuinely felt good...I wish I could do it more"

Angel murmured as she took another water and poured it over her head, she was more than satisfied even if her legs barely let her stand up.

She then grabbed the shampoo sachet and extracted the shampoo onto her hand and began applying it to her hair, untangling any knots she might've missed when she was combing. For some reason, after her hair gets fully wet after a few minutes, it becomes so satisfying to wash.

The scent of the shampoo was also calming and relaxing in its own way.

...

..

.

After taking a bath, Angel put a towel over her head and made her way back to her room after changing into her white sundress.

Now that she feels fresher than a dandelion in summer..or is it spring? She made her way to her bed, unlocking it and looking at her notifications..barren, wait..there's one though, but it's from Raymundo.

Right, she didn't reply to him.

Angel went to Messenger and looked up his message

[Joseph, I met your sister at SM. You didn't tell me you had such a beautiful sister!]

Ah right...she's Joseph's little sister now, she's her own sibling...that's a weird thing to say.

Angel was never keen on using social media, rather she didn't have as many friends to see the benefit of using it. Oh, and her light novels? Her account for writing? She only has an email attributed to it, but she never had an account that promotes her writing.

The account she uses @Joseph_Ramondez was barely used..but now that she's a beautiful young woman..would she see the need to have her own account?

Probably...

But right now, she's too lazy to even think of creating a new account, so she probably has to just reply to her best friend Raymundo

[Yeah, sorry about that..I just didn't want you to get all over her]

Raymundo then "Seen" the message and immediately began typing

[What do you mean, bro! It's not like that, jusko! Give me her socials thoughh]

[See, I knew it]

[It's really nothing, I swear! I just wanna talk to her! Oh, by the way, where were you?]

[Mom made me study abroad]

[Geez, but you said you'd be a NEET forever]

[I was..but alas]

Angel immediately closed her phone, nope! She ain't going to school! NOPE!! Absolutely NEVER!

But then again, Angel also thought that maybe having her own social media would be a good thing? Hopefully, nothing bad happens by then..
