Chapter 1: c3
Land Of Waterfall's Clinic]
"Here, rub this healing ointment on the sore areas and get plenty of rest," spoke an older lady handing a small bottle of brown paste to a 12 year old boy who was wearing ragged clothing that was covered in dirt.
After this the lady got up to leave before the child grabbed her asking with a awkward smile that didn't seem to go with his youthful face, "Miss nurse, is there lunch here," causing the woman with point over with uninterest toward the door saying, "Go out that door and take a right before another right, you'll see the cafeteria there."
"Thanks," spoke the kid struggling to stand up as he groaned in pain attempting to walk to the cafeteria and after a few painful steps the youth reached his desired location with stars in his eyes, "Hmm, it smells so good," spoke the kid sucking in a deep breath.
Ignoring the looks coming from staff the boy queued up in the line with a bright smile eyeing the food thinking, 'Haha, I finally found a way to get free food! Damnit, I've gone 3 days without food.'
Only for a second the boy glanced down past the food at a translucent number in the bottom right corner of his vision.

'What the hell system, how the hell do I get you to work,' thought the boy before heard a voice, "Child, What meat and sides do you want," spoke an old lady who eyeed the youth.
"I'll take what ever it, doesn't matter," spoke the youth scared the old lady would not feed him, "Hmmm," sounded the old lady in annoyance at the boy's behavior while fixing his plate, the boy wasn't the olny child who came here to eat, at the tables sat fifty so kids who all came from poor families like the boy.
"Here take it, also there's a no talking, fighting, and goofing off policy," spoke the old lady as she pointed over to the other kids who all sat in silence eating their fill, "Thanks," spoke the boy brushing off the lady's other comments as he walked to an empty table to eat.
'Finally,' cried the boy in his mind before devouring the food and after two more plates of food the boy's small body was full as he walked his way back to the hospital room to properly recover from his sore muscles.
[Later That Night]
After handling daily matters the Soziwa soon head to the central part of the Waterfall Village before stopping at a tall gate that surrounded an large neighborhood, "Elder Soziwa, welcome," spoke a ninja with the Waterfall Village headband on, Soziwa simply smiled before entering into the neighborhood.
'Sigh, why couldn't they put more resources into improving the civilians lifestyles or the village architecture besides the neighborhoods of the clans,' thought Soziwa walking unto the Village Head's Clan quarters to report on today's exams for the makeshift Adcaemy.
The Village Head's Clan was supposed to be grand and powerful but sadly, the other 3 Elders and their Clans were also just as luxurious as the Village Head's Clan quarters and somewhat isolated from the Village and it's civilians.
In the Waterfall Village most civilians lived very poor lifestyles and it was worst for orphans, Elders, or people who could work because most of them would eat once a day if lucky.
"Ohh, Soziwa Sama, what brings you hear," spoke an middle age woman when she opened the door and was greeted by Soziwa who simply nodded in response before saying, "Greetings, im here for the Village Head."
"Ohh, ok, come in, he's in the back with our son for train," spoke the lady pointing to the court yard where Soziwa could hear metal clashing sounds, "Alright, thanks," spoke Soziwa walking out the house into a large court yard that was littered with kunai and target plates.
"Ahh, Father! I can't possibly hit all these targets at once," spoke an frustrated voice of a preteen boy wearing a ninja training outfit, "Sigh, son remember you have to practice hard, one day, your going to be Village Head and be tasked with protecting this Village and it's people," the middle aged Clan Head then squad to eye level with the boy who resembled a younger more energized version of himself.
"Yeah, I know, thats why I also have to train harder while Suien and Senji get to play all day," spoke the Village Head's Son Hisen in a rebellious sarcastic voice as his shoulders slumped, seeing this the Village Head only signed on the surface but deep inside he wanted to smack the kid to get him to understand it wasn't so simple.
The reason he trained his son so hard was to keep the Elders at bay, if they found out his son actually had the worst talent among their grandsons they would push for more political power hoping to put their grandsons as Village Head, especially Elder Kuwa, who grandson Kuriya was very talented.
The Village Head guess the child would become stronger than him and Soziwa in the future even possibly reaching Kage level, and this scared him because bloodline has ruled over the Waterfall Village since it's creation and he didn't want to see his son's inheritance be taken by the greedy Elders who would run the Village into the ground.
So the Village Head trained his son hard everyday making it appear that his son was just as talented as Elder Kuwa's grandson and the inevitable future when he grows weak and Elder Kuwa grandson become more powerful, the Village Head planned to bring Elder Soziwa into his faction to back his Son In being the Village Head.
The Village Head knew Soziwa only cared about the civilians and the village, he didn't put much value on political power making him a perfect tree to shade his son while he grew stronger, that's why when he saw Soziwa's talent personally trained him and pushed for him to become an Elder.
"Soziwa senpai," called out Hisen moving his father out the way running up to greet Soziwa with a smile, "Haha, I see your father has been training you extra hard," greeted Soziwa patting the boy's head while looking around at the mess made by the training session before his landed on the Village Head causing him nod.
"Yeah, my father never let's me play with the other kids, it's all about training this and training that," spoke Hisen with a frustration in his tone while looking for Soziwa to back him, but looking up Soziwa saw the Village Head give him a slight nod, knowing what the Village Head wanted him to do, Soziwa Sighed before saying to the youth, "Hisen-kun, training is the most important thing to becoming a strong ninja of the Waterfall Village."
Hearing this the boy pouted saying, "Kuriya-kun said his grandfather told him the most important thing for a ninja of the Waterfall Village was experience and completing missions, he has already completed a four C-Rank missions while I am only able to do D-Rank mission inside the Village."
"Well Its...." spoke Soziwa but soon stopped not knowing what to say until the Village Head spoke, "Son, yes missions are important but if you don't have the strength to keep up with your teammates you'll only end up being slowing them down."
Hisen could on look down in sadness but his father spoke again, "But its no point innhiding this, when you were able to hit the targets, I was planning to let you go out on a C-Rank mission with Soziwa," Hisen jumped in joy hearing this before turning to Soziwa asking, "Is this true" Soziwa heard the Village Head let out a cough causing him to sigh saying, "Yeah, but you have to first hit all the targets."
Soziwa could only play alone with the Village Head, he knew that the younger generation were also in involved with the political infighting among the Elders, 'Sigh, I've been wanting to send him out on a C-Rank mission but I need someone I could trust protecting him, and now that Soziwa is training the civilians kids, when he takes some of them on missions I can include Hisen to help him gain experience,' thought the Village Head before sending Hisen in to wash up for dinner while he spoke to Soziwa in private.
"What is it," spoke the Village Head and gesturing to Soziwa follow him to the court yard pond, "Village Head, 233 kids passed the first test and I'm about to start the training process," spoke Soziwa watching the fish in the pond swim about.
"Hmm, that's higher than normal, how many do you think could pass the second test," asked the Village Head in thought, "If I had to guess 70 or so kids will pass it and among them 20 of them have the potential to become Chunin while I think less than 3 of them will make it to Jonin level," answered Soziwa with all honesty while feeling bad because more of thoes kids could become Chunin and Jonin but the Village would only provide resources to those who show immediate potential and understanding of the ninja world.
'Hmm, not bad, with the recent conflicts among the Great Village and Konoha inviting us to the chunin exams means they want to allie, if war breaks out will have to send aid and support, these kids will be sent to the battlefield first,' thought the Village Head with slight sadness but quickly washed it away, knowing he would rather send newly promoted kids than his own clan members be sent as fodder.
Not only him but all the Elders would think the same, no one would willing send the forces as cannon fodder and weaken their factions and political power in the village, instead all the civilian ninjas would be sent first to satisfy Kohona's requirements.
"That's great, if you find any promising youths take them as your students and training them, your the only Elder that has no students," spoke the Village Head in a relaxed tone but Soziwa quickly knew what he meant, out of all the Elders Soziwa had no clan which meant no faction, making his influence the weakest among Elders.
That's it was beneficial for Soziwa to train students into his faction rather that finding independent ninjas who would be hard to sway them to his side if the other Elders could offer more resources and power.
"Of course, Village Head I'll take some students among this batch of kids," spoke Soziwa conflicted but knowing the importance of building a faction only sighed in exhaustion, "Honey, Hisen and I are waiting for you, and Soziwa would you like to have dinner with us," yelled the Village Head's wife as she stood on the court yard deck.
The two men turned around before Soziwa bowed deeply and apologize, "I'm sorry, Hikato-san but I have matters to attend to tomorrow morning," before giving the Village Head a glance and with a nod Soziwa body flickered away while the Village Head Sigh in his heart, 'Soziwa, I know you aren't interested in building a faction but it must be done if you are to assist my son when the time comes.'
