Forever Never Forgotten, Forever Never forget

His eyes widened, and she could tell he was thinking; she knew what he wanted to know, but he wondered if it was a good choice to know. She waited for a moment, already set on telling him.

He eyed her. "We shall return to my home,"

She sighed; she knew it, "Bossy as ever."

He paid her no mind and began to walk back, with her behind him.

His guards were shocked to find her trailing behind him, but they said nothing and bowed as they walked by. "We will speak in my chambers"

She eyed his back. "Isn't that a little personal?" When she was younger, this thought would have never crossed her mind.

"It is."

She didn't know if she should be freaked out or if she should feel important by that. Once they reached his chamber, which was a maze of stone to get to, he requested tea and let Kagome in. His chambers were big and beautiful; you could fit a modern-day apartment inside this one room.

"Wow," She had never seen anything like it.

"You may sit,"

Kagome found a chair and sat down.

They waited for the tea; he stood near her on a wall, a knock was heard. "Enter," The maid came in a sat the tray down; she eyed Kagome.

"You may leave,"

She bowed and made hast.

Kagome watched as Sesshomaru gracefully poured her tea and offered it to her; it was crazy and weird and not at all normal to see him do such a task, but she said thank you anyway.

"Speak,"

Kagome sipped her tea. "You never see your brother again."

"That I am already aware of, just as before he neglected his brother, he disappeared not long after marrying the other woman,"

"Sango and Miroku have babies!" She said with a smile ignoring the sting of the last thing he said.

"They have already started; their third child is due soon,"

"Im happy for them,"

"Would you like me to call for them?"

"No!" She said quickly, "Not in till I know what my destiny is; I don't want to just see them for a day and then vanish,"

"Very well, at your wish Miko,"

Kagome looks down at her tea. "Kikyo dies again, giving birth to their first child," Perhaps that's why Inuyasha vanished.

He didn't say anything for a moment, but she looked up when he looked away. "She was meant for death long ago; it is a shame my brother could not see that."

"I don't know when or where he is, part of me wants to go after him, but then, I don't want to barge back into his life."

"He is well aware you are here, Miko; even I felt it."

Hurt crossed her face. "Then, this is how it is meant to be; there is no mention of me seeing him."

"Are you mentioned?" He looked at her, and she matched his glance. "Yes, but in the beginning, it says that no one knows what happens to me,"

His eyebrows folded in a hard look. "Something is off about that, do you not think, Miko? After all, you are not one to not be noticed."

She blushed though she was sure he didn't mean it as a compliment.

She shrugged. "Maybe I just returned home right after this, or if im stuck, then I didn't do anything important, I duno,"

"What of me, Miko?"

She smiles a bit. "Are you sure you want to know?"

His face remains frozen, but she knows better. "You mate a human and have a bunch of half-breeds and die!"

"Are you finished with your lie, Miko?"

"Your no fun,"

"So I've been told."

"You do, mate."

He unfolds his arms; body language is something Kagome did learn; it meant that he was interested.

"I don't know to who; it does not say; it just says she was strong and beautiful," She blushed and looked away from his gaze. "I wish I knew."

"Do I have children?"

"Do you think it's a good idea for me to tell you?"

"You have already started,"

"You do, um, twins, I think, and maybe one more, I can't remember, but I do know that the power you seek comes in the form of your twins; they become great rulers."

She saw pride cross his face, and she was instantly attracted to him, but she quickly gave herself a check.

"Um, that's all I really know about you, other than you do end up letting Sango and Miroku live on your lands,"

But he was not paying in mind to that; he was now walking around his room.

"By what I gather, you are happy and very watchful alongside your mate, protective of your children,"

He stops walking and looks at her,

"What?" She sat her tea down.

"It is time then,"

"For?" She must have missed something.

"For me to mate."

She blushed. "I mean, I dont know when it happens to someone beautiful and powerful."

"Did you expect anything less,"

"i didn't expect anything," She sighed. But in truth, out of everything she learned, she was most interested in his story.

Thunder rolled, and she got up and looked out the window. "A bad storm is coming,"

"It has been raining for days," He stated, coming to look behind her,

"Do you know if Kaede is alive?"

"She passed three years after you left,"

She looked down; now what.

"Why do you ask?"

"I dont know where to go," Rain started to fall. "My power has gone weak," She looked at her hands.

"Foolish of you to stop training it,"

"I have no need for it where I'm from,"

"And yet you are here where you do,"

"I had no plans of being back here; I thought my wish was it," She turned to face him; he was closer to her than she ever remembered him being to her.

"Speaking of Miko, what did you wish for,"

"For everyone to get what they wanted," She stated sadly, "At least what I thought they wanted, no matter what happened to me,"

"Some people only think they know what they want Miko,"

Her eyes met his,

"Some peoples wants change, and the jewel is meant to twist any wish made, no matter who made it and how pure in the intentions,"

She turned. "Do you think this is my punishment?"

"No, but the wish has no guarantees. Miko, Inuyasha, and the other miko did marry; had a child by your account, and she died hence why he is gone,"

She turned away again and watched the lightning in the background. "I thought they deserved that much,"

"The jewel cannot break the bonds of fate miko, she was meant for death,"

She closed her eyes tight, wishing when she opened them again that she would be in her bed dreaming,
