Forged in Blood and Shadow

"I want to kill him myself," Zoe Loni said, a terrifying smile spreading across his face.

John, still hidden in the shadows, thought, I should have killed this bastard when I had the chance.

Mu Jin, still standing in the center of the cave, said to Zoe Loni, "You couldn't kill him yourself, so you asked for help from a Demonic cultivator? The young master of the Zoe family colluding with a Demonic cultivator… wouldn't that be interesting if it got out?"

Zoe Loni looked at Master Mu Jin with a frightened look on his face. Demonic bastard, he thought, he's trying to tell me he still has the upper hand.

Mu Jin, walking towards Zoe Loni, continued, "No need to worry yourself. As long as you pull through your end of the deal, nobody will find out." Mu Jin placed his right hand on Zoe Loni's shoulder, sending a shiver down the young master's spine.

Mu Jin started walking out of the cave, smiling. "Now, I would like to see the mid-stage that could kill a late-stage."

Zoe Loni soon followed behind him.

John, still hidden in the shadows, said to himself, "The Zoe family young master is colluding with a Demonic cultivator. Interesting." He disappeared into the shadows.

I do wonder what they're planning to do, John mused, his mind racing.

A while later, we see John sitting on a chair inside a room. The door of the room opened, and Zoe Karen walked in.

"What the hell are you doing here in the middle of the night?" she exclaimed, her voice laced with alarm.

We see Zoe Karen in her nightwear.

"Nice to see you too," John replied calmly.

Zoe Karen shouted, "You still haven't answered my question! What the hell are you doing in my room?"

John stood up. "I'm going to advise you to be on alert," he said seriously. "I found out that Zoe Loni is planning to make his move. I don't know what his plans are, but you should probably get more guards at the late-stage Foundation Forging level."

Zoe Karen's eyes widened. "Why late-stage Foundation Forging?" she asked, her voice trembling.

"Zoe Loni," John explained, "he's working with a Demonic cultivator at the late-stage Foundation Forging level."
