Chapter 20: The Twin Who Shouldn’t Exist
Julian couldn't move.
The battlefield faded away. The chaos, the war, the blood—none of it mattered anymore.
Because Julial was real.
And he was standing right in front of him.
"I was waiting for you, brother."
The words echoed in Julian's mind.
Julian's fists clenched. His body shook.
Memories were flooding back—pieces of his past that had been locked away for years.
He had a twin.
A twin he never knew.
Or rather—a twin he had forgotten.
Julian's Lost Memories
Flashes of the past surged through Julian's mind.
A small room. A crying baby.
Two infants—one with normal black hair.
The other—with white-green hair.
"There is something wrong with this child," a voice whispered.
"We have to abandon him."
Then—darkness.
The Truth About Their Birth
Julian staggered back.
He had always believed his family was ordinary.
But now—the truth was breaking apart everything he knew.
"Julian," Julial said softly, stepping forward. "Do you understand now?"
Julian's breath was heavy. "No. I don't."
Julial sighed. "Of course not. You erased too much."
Julian's heart pounded.
"Tell me, then," he growled. "Tell me everything."
Julial's silver eyes glowed.
And then—he began to speak.
The Superhuman Mafia's Experiment
"Our family was never normal," Julial said. "We were born different. Our bloodline… it's not something that should exist."
Julian clenched his jaw.
"The Superhuman Mafia," Julial continued. "They don't just sell the drug. They created it. And we—"
His gaze locked onto Julian's.
"—are their most successful experiment."
Julian's stomach dropped.
"No…"
But deep inside—he knew.
He had always known.
The abnormal power.
The inhuman strength.
The reason he was abandoned.
It was all because of who he was.
Or rather—what he was.
The Forgotten Heirs of Destruction
"Our parents didn't abandon you out of cruelty," Julial said. "They did it because they were afraid."
Julian's hands trembled.
"They thought you were a monster," Julial murmured. "But what they didn't know… was that I was the one keeping you stable."
Julian's eyes widened.
"What?"
Julial gave a small smile.
"Our connection isn't normal, Julian. You and I… we aren't just twins."
His next words sent a chill down Julian's spine.
"I was born… to control you."
Julian staggered back.
It didn't make sense.
Julial wasn't human?
He was… some kind of counterbalance?
A failsafe?
The Power to Destroy Everything
Julial continued, his voice calm.
"Your power is too great," he said. "That's why you erased your memories. That's why you held yourself back."
He looked around at the battlefield—the bodies, the destruction.
"But now, you've awakened."
Julial's eyes softened.
"And now, there's only one thing left to do."
Julian froze.
Julial stepped forward.
He smiled.
"It's time for me to die."
