Chapter 12: Chapter 12
After three days, Himmel arrived at a small village. He hid his body in the elven robe that the king had given him—a long, greenish robe that concealed most of his face and body.
As Himmel entered the village, he went straight to the tavern, where he could get information and food.
The sound of the tavern door opening caught the attention of the people inside, and they looked in his direction. Himmel ignored their gazes and walked toward the bartender, asking for food.
After a while, the bartender served him. The food was delicious, and Himmel realized he hadn't eaten a proper meal in a long time—he had only been eating grilled meat.
Once he finished, Himmel looked around the tavern, where many people were drinking alcohol and discussing various topics.
"Is it always this lively?" Himmel asked the bartender.
"Actually, it's not. But for the past ten days, it's been like this," he answered, not giving much information.
Himmel understood the man's hesitation. He reached into his pocket, took out a silver coin, and placed it on the table before sliding it toward him. The bartender noticed it, put on an honest smile, and began explaining what had happened.
After Himmel gathered the information, he left the tavern. As he stepped out the door, two figures also stood up and quietly followed behind him, looking suspicious.
Himmel, who was processing the information about the dungeon, walked toward its direction.
'So, I need to be at the advanced tier if I'm a mage. And if I'm a swordsman, I can't enter. Also, the minimum number of people allowed to enter is four...' Himmel placed a hand on his temple, deep in thought when suddenly, he heard a warning from the system.
Ring!
Himmel was startled. "Are there monsters in this village?" he thought, scanning the surroundings. The map only warned him when there were monsters nearby.
He looked at the minimap but saw nothing. Just as he was beginning to think it was broken, the seductive voice of the system interrupted his thoughts.
[Host! The map does not only warn you about monsters but also about anyone looking at you with killing intent. The reason you can't see them on the map is that they are using stealth-type magic.]
Himmel's eyes widened as he realized there were people after him. "But how do they know me? I hid my face… Or maybe they just mistook me for someone else," he thought, letting out a deep sigh.
The two figures trailing behind him exchanged glances when they noticed Himmel suddenly stopping.
"Do you think it's him?" one of them asked.
"We'll know for sure when we catch him," the other replied, stepping forward.
Now that he was being pursued by an unknown force, Himmel had no choice but to get rid of them. He quickened his pace toward the village entrance.
---
After half an hour, Himmel, who had been running through the forest, suddenly came to a halt.
"Come out. I know you're there," Himmel said, his gaze serious as he looked over his shoulder.
...
There was no response.
After waiting for a moment, Himmel pulled out his sword and slashed in a certain direction. Several trees were cut cleanly in half.
Two figures dropped from the trees and landed in front of Himmel.
"Who are you?" Himmel asked in a commanding tone.
They didn't respond and only stared at him.
"Tch. Forget it. Dead men have no tales to tell," Himmel muttered, realizing they wouldn't talk. His expression darkened as he jumped toward them.
"Is he serious?" one of the figures asked in disbelief, watching Himmel charge at them.
The other one pulled out two daggers and rushed forward to meet him.
Cling!
Himmel's sword, which was aiming for the man's throat, was blocked by the two daggers in his hands.
The sheer force of Himmel's attack sent the man stumbling backward.
"96, attack him together with me!" he shouted to the other man.
"Haha, 97, are you still drunk? You can't even handle a small fry?" 96 mocked as he laughed at 97's struggle.
Himmel's ears perked up at their names. His eyes glinted with recognition.
"Oh? Look at what we have here. So you two are from Sigil, huh? Tch, so many pests pissing me off these days," Himmel taunted them.
Hearing this, both 96 and 97 jumped back, now taking Himmel more seriously.
"Who are you?" 96 asked coldly.
"Shouldn't I be the one asking that?" Himmel smirked.

WP (Wrath Points) piled up rapidly, and Himmel chuckled as an idea formed in his mind.
"Ah, I remember now. The two I killed before had codes… Hmm… ah, it was 99 and 98," Himmel said as he looked at them.
97's expression twisted with rage.
"What did you do to them?" he demanded.
"Oh, them? You want to know? Why don't you find out yourself?" Himmel replied with a grin hidden beneath his robe.
"You bastard! Tell me what you did to them!" 97 roared, charging at Himmel in fury.
As WP continued to rise, Himmel chuckled internally. 'What a harvest.'
He easily blocked 97's daggers.
"What's wrong? Why are you so angry? Huh? Don't tell me… were they your toys?" Himmel asked mockingly, clicking his tongue as he kicked 97 in the stomach.
97, who was blinded by rage, felt something heavy strike his abdomen. The next thing he knew, he was sent crashing into a tree, losing consciousness.
96, who had been watching, was shocked by Himmel's strength.
'The higher-ups said he was possessed… but how the f*ck is he this strong?!' 96's mind went blank.
'No! I must report this. I can't save 97, but I have to flee and warn them that he's strong!'
Just as he was about to turn and run, a cold sensation pierced his heart.
As he looked down, he saw Himmel's sword embedded in his chest.
Himmel pulled out his sword and flicked off the blood before looting the bodies. He took their money and plaques, then stored them in his inventory.
When he checked his WP, a satisfied smile appeared on his face.
[WP: 950]
Suddenly, the Staff of Sophia appeared in his hands.
Himmel, thinking he had accidentally pulled it out, tried to return it to his inventory, but then—
[Only non-living things can be stored in the inventory.]
"Ah, so that's why."
"...."
"Wait—what the fuck?".
