From Human to Skeleton: Revived with Infinite System Crystals

Chapter 479: Damned

Masabi turned his attention back to the larger creature, who was still writhing in pain, the blue vial in its neck slowly seeping into its skin. He grabbed it by the neck, lifting it off the ground. "Who's in charge?" he demanded, his voice cold and unyielding.

The creature's eyes flickered with fear. "The vampires and the Universe with the beautiful women with blue hair that control water," it choked out. "They've been assisting us with intel on conquering and absorbing more worlds. There are also a few angelics assisting the vampires, but I'm too far below to know their identities."

Masabi's grip tightened, his eyes narrowing. "Why would they work with you?"

The creature coughed, its arm trembling as it brought it up and latched onto Masabi's smaller arm that gripped its neck, claws digging into the flesh nearly puncturing it as he held it up.

"Th-they don't work with me, but the King of Nothing is so strong in ways they can't comprehend," it gasped, struggling for breath. "Instead, the man named Erebos aims to align with him and promises a seat under the new kingdom along with those he turned in the Angelic order to mask our attacks."

With his broken hand, the creature quickly attempted to cover its mouth. "Wh-why did I state that?!"

Moments later, Masabi's eyes widened as he jumped back. Dozens of spikes erupted from the creature's body, blood spraying in all directions. The creature flailed, its agonized screams piercing the air. "I didn't mean to, please, don't do this!"

Masabi could only watch as the creature's body convulsed violently. The spikes continued to grow, tearing through flesh and bone with sickening crunches. Blood splattered across the walls and floor, the metallic scent thick in the air. The creature's screams grew weaker, fading into desperate whimpers.

A few seconds later, a grotesque transformation occurred. A large, gnarled hand emerged from the creature's stomach, fingers spreading wide before clamping down. The hand crushed the creature's face and body, bones snapping and flesh pulping under the immense pressure. Blood and viscera sprayed out in a gruesome display, painting the room in dark red.

Masabi took a step back, the horrific scene unfolding before him. The creature's body was reduced to nothing but blood and crunched pieces, its final moments a brutal testament to the violence it had been subjected to. A small orb, glowing faintly, floated out from the remains and slowly withered away, its light dimming until it was no more.

Masabi took a deep breath, the coppery smell of blood still lingering in the air, and sighed. "Well, at least I have some useful information, but he didn't know anything about the traitor, and there are other universes conspiring with the man named Erebos." He stood in the room for a brief moment, deep in thought. The dim light cast long shadows, emphasizing his contemplative expression.

"Erebos, the vampire lord to the Vampire King."

"Interesting," he murmured, his voice echoing softly in the now silent room.

Masabi took a deep breath and signed, "Well, regardless, I suppose I should figure a way out of here. Perhaps just breaking a hole in the wall will work."

Moments later, as he walked forward and went to place his hand on the wall, a portal opened up next to it, rivulets of blue colors swirling around the outside edges.

"So someone else watched all of this unfold. And they want me to go in this direction," he muttered to himself.

Masabi placed his hand back on the wall and channeled his energy through it. Just as he did, he felt a tug on the back of his uniform. Turning around, he saw a small girl with white hair, no taller than 2 feet, wearing a long white shirt and gripping her shoulders.

"Wi-will you please help me?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Masabi, slightly annoyed, asked, "Is this some sort of trick?"

"I-.. I don't kn-ow. I have been in a dark room for so long and then I appeared here. Please, I just miss them," she pleaded, tears welling up in her eyes.

Masabi sighed and bent down to her level. As he did, he felt his body weight shift downward as a portal materialized beneath him.

"What the hell?" he exclaimed.

As he fell, he noticed black ropes latching around the small girl, yanking her towards the direction of the wall.

Instinctively, he muttered, "Shit," and extended his hand outward towards her. Focusing his energy on her wrist, he pulled with all his might, ripping apart the black energy threads that attempted to bind her. The girl was yanked forward, and together they fell down the portal, the swirling blue vortex enveloping them.

He gripped onto her tightly before he was hovering high above a gathered bunch of clouds before he felt the tug of gravity yank him downward as the girl tucked her face into his white Gi."

Masabi looked around as he saw dozens of monsters from above, their grotesque forms casting long shadows on the ground below. The sky was a chaotic mix of swirling clouds and dark silhouettes. As he dipped below the clouds, he spotted a massive fight taking place.

The scene below was a battlefield, a sprawling crater at its center, where a human and a massive black creature with wings were locked in combat. Continue your saga on empire

"That must be one of the Vale monsters, and zombies are flooding everywhere..." he muttered to himself, surveying the chaos.

He tightened his grip on the small girl. "Hang on, child. Just so you know, you aren't my responsibility, but until I find out who you are, I am keeping you close to me. Is that understood?"

"Y-yes," she stated, her white hair flowing wildly in the turbulent air.

Masabi nodded before he flipped in the air, his movements fluid and precise. He pressed his feet against the sky, small circles of green energy igniting around his feet. The air around him shimmered with power as he lowered his stance, preparing for the descent. With a powerful burst, he jetted off the platform, streaking towards the ground like a meteor.

The wind roared in his ears as he plummeted, the cityscape of New York coming into sharper focus. Flames and smoke billowed from the ground, the stench of burning flesh and charred earth filling the air. As he neared the battlefield, he could see the blackened soil and the destruction wrought by the ongoing fight.
