Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Adventurers mining for gold? Lioro Selling pickaxe!
Hidden behind his mask, a wide grin was pasted on Lioro's face.
Seeing the magic crystals pouring in like crazy, he almost felt like he was dreaming.
After some 'negotiating,' he even managed to take over the weapon shop to sell his scrolls!
"Excuse me how much for this?...."
A female adventurer with short brown hair asked while pointing at a tier 3 'Heavy Recover' magic scroll.
Lioro replied enthusiastically.
"It's 400 magic crystals miss beautiful adventurer! But just for you, I'll sell it at 399.5 magic crystals!"
"That doesn't sound like a huge difference....."
The adventurers scrunted her brows.
'Well, you aren't that good-looking either.'
Lioro complained in his mind while looking at the line that she was blocking behind her.
'Can you hurry up?'
"You said this is a healing spell?"
"Yes!"
A frown appeared on her face.
"Four hundred magic crystals will equal 480,000 valis, an elixir goes for about 500,000 valis...."
She looked at Lioro and said in a serious tone.
"Are you saying your magic scroll is as good as an Elixir?"
"No, I am not saying that."
"Then the price--"
"It's better than an Elixer."
The adventurer fell silent and gave Lioro a deep look.
"How sure are you? This can be a life and death matter...."
"If it doesn't work then you know where to find me."
"I'll hold you on to that."
Releasing a small breath, the adventurer picked up the tier 3 magic scroll and handed 400 magic crystals to Lioro.
Lioro counted it, picked up one crystal, broke it in half, and threw it back at her.
The adventurers grabbed the magic crystal and gave Lioro a weird look.
"Happy patronage!"
Lioro waved his hand in a friendly manner.
Shaking her head the adventurer left his shop, allowing the next person to come in.
"Welcome customer!"
Lioro kept selling his magic scrolls.
After a few hours, he managed to run out of all the tier 1 and tier 2 scrolls.
The other Tiers didn't sell very well though.
Most were somewhat doubtful about the effect of the tier 3 magic scroll.
As for tier 4, Lioro didn't sell even one of the ten he created.
Why?
Well...
It was the price.
4th tier magic scroll: 10,000 magic crystals.
He might have increased it a bit too much.
Converted to valis....12 million....
Well, it was his first day, and he was more or less experimenting with a suitable price point.
Since all of his tier 1 and 2 spell scrolls were sold and those outside didn't seem very interested in buying the higher-tiered ones, Lioro decided to close his shop.
"Wait! Are you closing? I just arrived!"
An adventurer hurriedly shouted seeing Lioro close his shop.
Lioro looked at him and asked with a straight face.
"You have 10,000 magic stones?"
"W-what? 10,000? But aren't they going for 100?"
The adventurers looked confused.
"The cheaper ones are already sold, you can come tomorrow."
The adventurer scratched his head in disappointment.
Lioro ignored him, then closed his shop and exited Rivira.
After walking some distance, he went behind a tree and teleported away.
Not long after he left, several figures surrounded the tree in confusion.
"Where did he go?...."
----
The news spread like wildfire.
The dungeon city was going crazy.
"Magic scrolls? Damn!"
"Healing scroll? Elemental scroll? what the hell there's even a reinforcement scroll!?"
"But it's a one-time use item....."
"True but they're cheap compared to magic swords."
The reason for the rising popularity was because of two reasons.
First, there were hardly any adventurers who could use magic.
Second Magic swords were too expensive and difficult to find.
Inside Loki Familia.
Finn calmly sat on his chair and looked at Riveria.
"What do you think? Riveria?"
Riveria carefully examined the magic scroll in her hand before sighing helplessly.
"It's incredible, to be able to store magic like this....."
Finn fell silent, his thoughts moving.
----
Tower of Babel.
Freya held a magic scroll in her hand. After moving it around for a moment, she crushed it, causing a magic arrow to flow out and hit the nearby floor.
Seeing the scene she gracefully turned her head and said something to Ottar standing behind her.
----
Lioro unaffected by the commotion he just caused, looked at the total amount of magic crystals he had earned.
90,399.5
Converted to exp: 903,995.
He decided to convert half the magic stones into experience and save the other half for something else he had in mind.
[Experience slot: 5,768,726/10,000]
Definitely a crazy amount of experience.
But instead of being happy, Lioro was calm.
Because his mind was moving quickly, trying to think of a way to acquire 'high' or 'special' classes.
Unfortunately, he only knew a few special classes from the original series.
One was 'Eclipse' which belonged to Ains and was impossible to acquire as it requires 5 levels in racial classes 'Overlord'.
Lioro wasn't a skeleton and Genius can only replace job classes, not racial classes.
The second one he remembered was 'Black Guard' which belonged to Albedo and had the ability to transfer damage one received to their armor or something.
But he didn't know the conditions to acquire that class.
Third was Mare's special class 'Disciple Of Disaster'
And yes he was clueless about this one as well especially since Mare was a humonoid and didn't have any racial levels, meaning all 100 of his levels consisted of job classes which made it incredibly hard to deduce the pre-requisite of obtaining Mare's special class.
'It seems Black Guard has to be my best bet.'
For now, Albedo's special class seemed to be the best option, at least the one with the most probability anyway.
Lioro suddenly stopped walking and looked at the familiar figure selling street food on the side of the road.
Who else could it be but Hestia?
She kept moving her head around for potential customers.
Suppressing the sound of his feet, Lioro walked into Hestia's blind spot and quietly came behind her.
Seeing her play with the potato in her hand, Lioro sat down and rested his chin on his hand, waiting to see how long it would take for Hestia to notice him.
A few minutes passed by, and Hestia started playing with the potato in her hand, moving it around until it slipped out of her hands and fell down.
Releasing a small breath, Hestia was just about to pick it up when a hand came from behind her and handed her the potato.
She took it and said almost reflexively.
"Oh thank you--"
Suddenly Hestia stopped.
'Wait what?'
Hestia's gaze mechanically followed the retreating hand, making her turn around and look at its owner.
She saw a familiar face.
It was her child Lioro.
Hestia sighed in relief.
Lioro lightly flickered her nose using his finger.
"Ouch!"
Hestia painfully grabbed her nose.
"Zero points for self-awareness."
Lioro said with a smile on his face.
Hestia gave him a wronged look.
"You always do this Lioro!"
She raised her hands and started hitting his chest causing zero damage.
Some of the passersby stopped and looked at them in curiosity.
Sensing their gaze, Lioro was about to say something when a voice reached them
"Oh my~ Hestia is this your new child~"
Lioro instinctively turned his head.
And as soon as he did, he froze in place.
'Damn, they're big.'
Moving his gaze up, the face of a mature woman with golden hair appeared in his vision.
"Demeter! What are you doing here?"
Hestia asked.
"I was just passed by~ but then I saw you and couldn't resist coming forward."
Goddess Demeter took a step forward making her chest giggle.
'That's a real goddess right there.'
Lioro blinked his eyes and sneakily stole glances at her giant watermelons.
"My my~", Goddess Demeter looked at him with curiosity.
Suddenly Lioro felt some pain in his arm.
Turning his head he saw Hestia tightly pinching him while giving him a dangerous look.
"Just.where.do.you.think. you're.looking!"
Tightly holding his arm, Hestia suddenly moved her legs and pulled Lioro away with her, storming off in the distance.
Goddess Demeter couldn't help but smile seeing the scene.
Then she saw Lioro waving at her while being dragged away by Hestia which made her smile widen.
Raising her hand she waved back at him and then walked away.
After Hestia dragged him far away, she stopped and started attacking him like crazy.
"Pervert! Cheater! Womanizer!"
"I mean technically she's a goddess so...."
"Goddessnizer!"
"That's not a word."
"Silence!"
Lioro raised his hand and slid his finger across his mouth, making a 'my mouth is sealed' gesture.
Hestia hit his head.
----
After the incident, Lioro and Hestia made their way back home.
Throughout the entire process, Hestia didn't say anything single word and kept turning her head away from him, as if avoiding him.
She made sure to let out several 'hmph' noises to show her dissatisfaction.
Lioro helplessly shrugged his shoulders and said.
"Stop sulking goddess."
"Hmph!"
"You're not really angry are you?"
"Hmph!"
"Sigh how long are you going to keep doing that?"
"Hmph!"
Lioro clicked his tongue and gave a proposition.
"How about I agree to one of you're requests?"
"Anything?"
Hestia's eyes shone.
"As long as it is not too exaggerated---"
"Anything?!"
"Well, not anything..."
"Anything!"
With stars in her eyes, Hestia raised her arms high.
"Let's go you're treating me to dinner!"
'That's it?'
What a disappointing request.
Lioro shook his head but still asked.
"Alright, where do you want to go?"
Hestia thought for a moment before saying.
"Hostess Of Fertility?"
"No."
Lioro replied instantly.
"What? Why--"
"Just no."
Seeing his serious face Hestia relented and changed the destination.
Under Hestia's lead, Lioro walked inside an underground pub.
Looking at the place in curiosity, Lioro sat down at a table with Hestia and ordered food.
Well, the food was good, though the alcohol sucked.
The bad alcohol reminded Lioro of the magic props in his inventory he took from the lizardmen.
After Hestia drank a few more shots and her face started turning red, Lioro stopped her.
Ignoring her protest, Lioro paid for the bill then the two of them made their way back home.
Walking together on the night streets of the dungeon city, the two arrived at the abandoned church.
Lioro felt the presence of the invisible tier 7 Wraith Assasin sitting on the roof.
Coming down to their underground place, Hestia lay flat on the bed.
Lioro grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her up.
"You forgot to brush you're teeth."
Hestia pouted then followed Lioro's words and brushed her teeth before jumping on the bed.
Wrapping her arms and legs around a pillow, Hestia looked at Lioro's back as he was brushing his teeth.
With a red hume covering her face, Hestia opened her mouth and asked in a hesitant voice.
"Hey, Lioro.....do you think I am a qualified goddess?"
"Hm?"
With the toothbrush still in his mouth, Lioro backed at her in confusion.
"I meant....you don't regret joining my familia do you?"
Hestia's gaze unknowingly looked at her humble adobe.
"Nope."
Lioro replied plainly, then started gurgling his mouth with water.
"I see..."
Hestia said in a small voice.
The large amount of skills on his status passed through her mind.
Turning around, Hestia faced the wall and closed her eyes.
Lioro glanced at her then turned off the light and laid down on the sofa to sleep.
A few hours passed by.
Silently Hestia's figure moved, with slow movement she got up from the bed and looked at Lioro.
Seeing his rhythmic breathing, she got off the bed, put on her slippers, and carefully made her way above.
Not long after she left, Lioro's eyes opened up, and looked toward the staircase leading upstairs.
