Genshin impact: investing in small Ningguang

Chapter 69: Chapter 68: BONUS!! Why Ganyu is Not Quiet Even When She’s Asleep

Amon's gaze fell on Ganyu's dark red Qilin horns again.

There was something indescribable about the horns that intrigued him.

Looking at them swaying slightly, Amon couldn't help but feel a strong urge to touch them.

Reaching out, he gently placed his hand on Ganyu's horn.

In that instant, he felt her body tremble slightly, and Ganyu let out a soft moan—

like a startled deer.

Ganyu's face flushed an intense shade of red, resembling fiery clouds in the evening sky.

For her, the Qilin horn wasn't just an ornament—it was highly sensitive.

As a child, Ganyu often needed her master, the Cloud Retainer, to hold her horns to help her fall asleep.

But as she grew older, she became adamant about not letting anyone touch them.

Not even her close master, the Cloud Retainer, was allowed to do so.

So why wasn't she resisting now?

Ganyu didn't know how to explain her feelings.

Normally, she would have retreated in panic, shielding her head with her hands.

Yet with Amon, there was no resistance in her heart.

If it was Amon, maybe… it was okay?

It had been so long since anyone had touched her horns, and now the sensation felt both familiar and strange.

A sudden wave of drowsiness washed over her—it was nearing lunchtime, after all.

Ganyu's precise biological clock dictated her naps, no matter the place or occasion.

This time, however, she took the initiative to snuggle into Amon's arms, hugging him tightly—

just as she had done with the Cloud Retainer many years ago.

Amon looked down at Ganyu nestled in his arms, a faint smile on his face.

Previously, Ganyu had subconsciously embraced him after falling asleep.

Now, she hugged him before drifting off.

Though the actions were the same, the meaning had changed.

This time, it was clear that Ganyu had begun to hold a special place for Amon in her heart.

Her willingness to let him touch her sensitive horns only reinforced this realization.

Despite her composed demeanor as Liyue's thousand-year-old secretary, Ganyu had a side to her that resembled a shy, endearing young girl.

And even in her sleep, she wasn't entirely quiet.

Though Amon had stopped touching her horns, Ganyu shifted slightly, humming softly.

Her head moved forward as though seeking more contact, her gesture almost childlike.

Amon chuckled. He hadn't expected such a playful side to the usually reserved Ganyu.

Gently, he resumed stroking her horns while opening the system interface to check his latest rewards.

The Moonstringer, a four-star fishing rod, had been added to his inventory.

In the game, this rod allowed users to fish with a chance of transforming their catch into treasures.

For example, catching a fish might yield an ordinary fish, a rare creature, or even a unique treasure.

It seemed quite useful.

With plenty of free time on his hands, Amon decided he would take Ningguang and Qiqi fishing tomorrow to make up for not spending time with them today.

After understanding the fishing rod's function, Amon turned his attention to another item he had just received—a strange puppet.

It resembled a human-sized Maguu Kenki.

Although Amon couldn't figure out how to activate it, he decided to store it in his backpack for further study.

Exiting the system interface, Amon looked down at the peacefully sleeping Ganyu.

He gently stroked her horns, sitting quietly without moving for what felt like hours.

Eventually, Ganyu stirred awake, blinking sleepily.

"Mr. Amon… I'm sorry. Did I sleep for too long?" she mumbled, still groggy.

Noticing that Amon hadn't moved an inch the entire time, Ganyu felt a pang of guilt.

His arms must have been sore from holding her, she thought.

Quickly standing up, her face flushed red as she bowed apologetically.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to trouble you!"

Seeing her flustered expression, Amon couldn't help but smile.

"It's no trouble at all, Miss Ganyu. You're so light that I didn't feel any weight while holding you."

His words seemed to comfort her, and she asked softly, "Did you… find it uncomfortable sitting for so long?"

"Not at all," Amon replied warmly. "But how was your nap? Did you sleep well?"

Hearing his concern, Ganyu's face turned an even deeper shade of red.

She nodded shyly and murmured, "It was the most comfortable nap I've had in a long time… Perhaps because Mr. Amon was by my side."

Then, after a moment's hesitation, she added in a small voice,

"If it's okay… could you accompany me during my naps in the future?"

Ganyu lowered her head, unable to meet Amon's gaze.

This was her first time making such a request, and she was overwhelmed by nervousness.

What if Amon said no?

How would she handle the rejection?

But her worries were unfounded. Amon chuckled and replied, "Of course. I'd be happy to accompany you, Miss Ganyu."

Hearing his answer, Ganyu's eyes lit up, sparkling with joy like a child receiving candy.

"That's wonderful! If Mr. Amon is there, I'm sure my work efficiency will improve!"
