Chapter 2: chapter 2
Chapter 2: The Arrival of the Executive Officer "Captain"
Unlike the Boshi Society, the Genius Club held a distinct prestige. Every member of this exclusive group was highly valued, for entry required the rarest of achievements: being noticed by Boshi Zun. To gain such recognition was to possess wisdom far beyond the reach of ordinary beings.
Members of the Genius Club were rare gems, coveted by major forces across the universe.
The announcement of a new genius sent shockwaves throughout the cosmos. But frustratingly, the information provided was scarce. The message from the Genius Club revealed only the existence of this individual, without a hint of their location.
"A remote planet," the message said.
Yet the universe was vast, filled with countless habitable worlds. Tracking down one genius on a "remote planet" was akin to finding a needle in an infinite haystack.
Among the many curious parties were the other geniuses in the club, particularly Seat #81—Ruan Mei. An expert in the field of life sciences, she was naturally intrigued by this newcomer who had created a form of life so complex that even Boshi Zun could not comprehend it.
The idea of meeting this mysterious genius and engaging in discussions about their creations stirred a rare excitement in her, despite her typically reclusive nature.

Meanwhile, Su Ran basked in his newfound power.
"Haha, what a windfall!" he exclaimed, grinning ear to ear.
It felt surreal. What had started as a mere imitation of Plasma Spark technology had somehow caught the attention of Boshi Zun, earning him a blessing of immense power. The blessing elevated him to the rank of Commander, granting him both formidable strength and unparalleled intelligence.
Now, Su Ran's abilities placed him among the top fighters of the universe. While he wasn't yet at the level of the Star Gods—the undisputed apex of power—he was confident that surpassing them was only a matter of time. After all, with his system and his boundless wisdom, no challenge seemed insurmountable.
However, one question lingered in his mind: Where exactly am I?
If this universe had Star Gods, then surely it must be part of the Star Rail universe. Yet the details didn't fully add up.
While pondering, Su Ran felt a disturbance in his cave. The sound of crunching snow echoed from outside, followed by the appearance of several armed strangers.
"Is this the source of that power?" the leader of the group asked, his tone cold and authoritative.
Su Ran frowned. "This is my residence. Shouldn't you be the ones introducing yourselves?"
The man at the forefront, clad in heavy armor, stepped forward and declared, "This snowy plain belongs to Her Majesty the Ice Queen. You, outsider, have no right to be here."
Winter? Ice Queen? Su Ran's eyes lit up with sudden recognition. So it's not just the Star Rail universe—there's Genshin Impact mixed in as well? Fascinating!
He quickly pieced together who these intruders were. The armored leader with his stern demeanor had to be the Fatui's Captain, one of the executive officers serving the Tsaritsa.
"Is that so?" Su Ran smirked, his confidence bolstered by the enhancements of the Plasma Spark and his Commander-level blessing.
"Leave now, and no one will get hurt," Su Ran declared calmly, though his tone carried an unmistakable warning.
The Captain's expression darkened. "This is the Queen's territory. You, an outsider, have no authority here. Surrender now, or face the consequences."
The soldiers behind him tightened their grips on their weapons, ready for combat.
"Otherwise, you'll all die," Su Ran said, his voice icy.
The Captain clenched his fists. "Very well. If you will not cooperate, I will personally capture you and bring you to Her Majesty for judgment."
---
The snowstorm outside raged on, a fitting backdrop for the chaos that unfolded in the cave.
The Fatui soldiers charged first, but their efforts were futile. Against Su Ran's overwhelming power, they were nothing more than fodder. In mere moments, their bodies littered the ground, staining the snow red.
Su Ran turned his attention to the Captain, who now stood alone. The armored man readied himself, but it was clear that the gap in strength was insurmountable.
With a single, devastating strike, Su Ran brought the Captain to his knees. Pinning him down with one hand, Su Ran gripped the Captain's helmet with the other.
"Your strength isn't bad," Su Ran admitted. "I almost had to take you seriously."
The Captain remained silent, his pride wounded more deeply than his body.
Su Ran tightened his grip on the helmet, causing it to crack under the pressure. "I'm curious—what does your face look like under this?"
The Captain growled, "You're humiliating a soldier!"
Su Ran chuckled darkly. "Humiliation? No, I'm just curious. But if it bothers you, I can solve the problem another way—by crushing your head along with your helmet. Then no one will ever see your face."
The Captain gritted his teeth, struggling in vain. The helmet groaned under the force of Su Ran's hand, cracks spreading further.
Just as Su Ran prepared to deliver the finishing blow, a calm yet commanding voice echoed through the cave.
"Please stop, strange alien."
Su Ran froze, his grip loosening slightly. He glanced around, puzzled. There was no one else in the cave, and the voice didn't seem to come from the Captain.
"Who's there?" Su Ran demanded.
No response came, only a tense silence.
Shrugging, Su Ran turned back to the Captain. "Alright, I'll play along. Beg me to stop, and I might let you live."
The Captain's eyes burned with fury as he renewed his futile struggles.
"Please," the voice repeated, softer this time, "don't hurt him."
Su Ran paused, intrigued. It wasn't often that he encountered something—or someone—capable of breaking his focus.
With a sigh, he released the Captain, allowing him to collapse onto the ground.
"Fine," Su Ran said, his tone almost playful. "Let's see where this goes."
