A video to identify them was all that was needed.

In fact, even determining their identity does not explain much.

While there were people from the Beast Tamer families at the scene, it's quite likely that these collateral lines have fallen from grace on their own.

Even if Tao Yu didn't like the Beast Taming families, he had to admit one thing.

The Beast Taming families, enjoying their hot pots and singing their songs, might not be surprising to have collusions with the Heretic God Followers, but the chance of them joining was still exceedingly small.

Just like some of the Gundy Family colluding with Heretic God Followers, it's not to say they are innocent, but they are not that stupid either.

However, just as it was with the previous pretext of investigating the Chaoyang Society, the Beast Taming families' submission to investigation and reckoning was inevitable – the boomerang finally fell on their own heads...

"What kind of fragment is it? Do you want me to come and take a look too?"

"Come and have a look, it seems to be just a single city. The buildings are relatively modern, nothing striking for the moment."

Hearing this, Tao Yu discounted the possibility of it being Konoha.

"But just a single city, even smaller than the Monster World; probably not a place of much importance."

If it was only one city and not like Shinobi Village such as Konoha, Tao Yu really didn't think there was anything noteworthy.

Especially since it was a modern city.

But still, they had to go and see for themselves.

The city didn't resemble an international metropolis but seemed to be just an ordinary small town, with a few tall buildings but not many, its urban landscape bisected by a wide river that appeared to have turned still at both ends.

Some buildings looked akin to the style found in Neon City, and there were temple-like structures atop the hills.

As Tao Yu continued to descend from high altitude, he found that the city should have lost electricity following the fall into the Abyss, with some pedestrians and vehicles on the streets.

But judging from the situation, the fall might have occurred a few days ago. It seemed they were already aware of the situation, as there was no large-scale riot.

The world barrier was probably filtering the air on both sides and even blocking the entry of living beings.

However, for some reason, as Tao Yu looked over the city, a sense of unease tinged his Spirit Perception.
