Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 466: Zombie Challenge Event ( 9 )

"Good start…" Shane muttered to himself as he believed that he might not even need the help of his Automated Turret at this time.

Anyway, the remaining Fire Zombies began to surround Shane, their movements coordinated, but it was completely predictable.

The only concern was the fire that was cooking him up… Thankfully, it was being alleviated by his Aura Sentinel…

'I might have to change my clothes with heat resistance…' Shane thought as he recalled his Mutated Python Scale Armor and the rest of its set…

'Hu~'

The arena was becoming unbearably hot as time passed…

'It seemed that many Survivors would be completely stopped here.'

Shane then activated Adrenaline Surge, the rush of energy sharpening his focus and bolstering his speed. This also made him resist the heat coming off from the Fire Zombies.

One Zombie charged at him from behind, but Shane spun swiftly, activating Vortex Spin. His Flameblade struck, carving through two zombies sending their molten remains scattering across the arena.

Thud! Thud!

The last two Fire Zombies roared in anger, and their flames started intensifying.

Shane smirked, activating Shadow Hunt to disappear into the darkness. Reappearing behind one of them, he drove his Flameblade into its core!

As expected, Zombies with elemental powers had such cores that they could exploit…

Boom!

As he destroyed the core, an explosion of energy blasted from the Zombie's body…

Shane easily dodged this, but as soon as he landed a few meters away, the final Zombie spat a massive fireball at him…

It was difficult to dodge after just landing on his feet, but thankfully, he was able to take the fireball with his Aura Sentinel and as it brought him time to move, he hurled a Blight Fang Dagger at its chest.

Thud!

The blade struck the core once again, and the Zombie detonated in a fiery blaze.

Boom!

Just like that, the system chimed as the last Fire Zombie fell…

[ Level 31 cleared. Preparing Level 32 ]

Shane exhaled deeply after seeing this. Although the heat was already gone as the arena started the reset, he still felt hot.

He glanced at his Flameblade, and its edge was also glowing. If this sword's element wasn't fire or was not legendary rank, this would surely melt during the battle.

"That was tougher than I expected... I need to change my equipment…' Shane muttered as he changed his current set to the Python Set.

The includes the Mutated Python Scale Armor, Mutated Python Pants, Mutated Rock Python Helm, and lastly, the Mutated Python Boots.

After wearing them, Shane obtained its Set Effect, and his elemental resistance increased. With this, he felt a lot more confident facing the Fire Zombies…

"Good… I'm ready!"

In the meantime, Diana kneeled at the center of the arena… Currently, her breaths were ragged, and her body was aching due to the prolonged battles…

'This is too tough...' She thought to herself. However, she had already done so much, and she couldn't quit unless she managed to reach the first milestone with special rewards, which was the Level 30!

At this time, her black hair clung to her face, damp with sweat, as she stared down the five Siren Zombies emerging from the shadows.

She barely had the time to rest after defeating the Screamer Zombies.

As soon as she realized that her enemies would be Siren Zombies, he felt really weak…

She already had an idea of how strong they were after all.

However, she gritted her teeth…

'I won't be dying for real anyway… I can do this.' Diana thought to herself as she started making plans on how to approach this…

These creatures could only attack with a stronger sonic blast, so she had to be careful…

Her hand trembled as she gripped her Legendary-Grade Hammer, "Titan's Wrath"—a massive, beautifully crafted weapon of her own making!

Its surface glowed faintly with golden light, showing that it was truly a legendary-grade weapon.

Diana wiped the sweat from her brow, frustration flickering in her dark eyes.

"I should've left some of those explosives… Tsk… Why did I think this was a good idea?" she muttered, shifting her stance to steady herself.

She wasn't a fighter; she was a craftsman, and this wasn't her battlefield. But she had made it this far—not just for herself but for the honor of the Eclipse Revenant Clan. After all, she received a lot of items from Shane… Unfortunately, most of those consumable items were already gone after reaching this level.

Indeed, it wasn't surprising at all that her resources were nearly depleted.

All her Safety Tokens were gone, her ammunition expended, and her Talismans reduced to ashes. The few Spirit Stones she had left were useless for anything but basic recovery. Her body also ached from earlier battles, and cuts and bruises marred her arms and legs, evidence of how close some of those fights had been.

At this time, the Siren Zombies began their approach, their eerie wails echoing through the arena. Their sound-based attacks could disorient and even immobilize her if she let her guard down.

Diana clenched her jaw, her muscles screaming in protest as she raised Titan's Wrath. "I didn't come this far to fail," she told herself as she focused her mind.

She then reached into her satchel, pulling out two vials—the Dragon's Veil Elixir and the Berserker's Potion.

These were her final trump cards, her last line of defense…

She uncorked the Dragon's Veil Elixir first. The thick, golden liquid shimmered like molten sunlight as she drank it down in one gulp.

This elixir had several effects that could even protect her against the Zombie Virus for some time. Nonetheless, the most important effects she needed right now were the Strength Boost, Enhanced Ability, and Agility Boost.

Instantly, her body felt lighter, her senses also improved.. Nonetheless, it also granted him a hint of Draconic Energy, which provides resistance against physical or even element damage.

Next, she popped the cap off the Berserker's Potion.

The blood-red liquid looked unstable. It was bubbling slightly but she didn't care about it at all as she swallowed it without hesitation…

Then, a surge of power roared through her veins, overriding her pain and fatigue with only fury in her mind.

'I will kill you all!'

Her grip on the hammer tightened, and her vision turned to the Sire Zombies…

"Let's end this," Diana growled, slamming the hammer against the ground as the hammer's effect was triggered!
