Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 586: Single Drop

Statham's laughter echoed as he aimed at every living survivor within the Eclipse Domain.

The Blood Spear could cover a huge area and it consumes not just Statham's energy but also his life force. It was a technique he didn't want to use unless his life was in danger…

Furthermore, once he did this, he would be vulnerable for a few moments.

Nonetheless, he had to ensure that Shane would see a massacre of his people once he returned.

"DIE, INSECTS!" Statham roared.

The defenders barely had time to react. Some raised shields, others tried to dodge—but against the sheer speed and number of the spears, it was hopeless!

They had already used up most of their resources and even if many of them leveled up during that whole battle, surviving against the Blood Spears would not be easy even with their high vitality points.

However, just as the blood spears were about to pierce their flesh, a huge golden talisman appeared from the sky…

No, to be exact, it wasn't just a single talisman but it was made of numerous smaller golden talismans! Each one was filled with mysterious energy, creating a golden barrier the moment the Blood Spears were about to pierce the Survivors.

"Barrier of the Sacred Seal—ACTIVATE!"

A young woman's voice, shouted as she controlled the numerous talismans...

She was Aya, the young Shaman who was supposedly staying in the Springriver Manor's temple…

However, she was now here standing near the center of the Eclipse Domain with Diana and others…

Many of them could see her wearing her long robes as she slammed her staff into the ground.

The talismans erupted in a dome of golden light, intercepting every single blood spear mid-flight.

The projectiles even seemed to sizzle as they slowly dissolved upon contact. It was like their dark magic was being purified by the barrier itself.

The survivors gasped as they saw this happen. They were alive!

Many of them didn't know Aya as they had never been to the Springriver Manor. However, they knew that the talisman they were using came from that Manor. Now, everyone couldn't help but feel curious about this Shaman that had appeared.

They couldn't help but guess that she was the creator who made all those Talismans for them!

In the meantime, the Vampire Lord was surprised by the sudden purge of his spell. He knew that this would not happen so easily.

Statham's eyes widened.

"This…"

He immediately glanced at the source of this phenomenon and was filled with surprise and anger for being stopped once again. "You—!"

Aya, on the other hand, wasn't in a good condition as well.

She may have accumulated a lot of Spirit Energy within her temple but there was a huge burden on her body once she used this energy all at once.

However, Aya endured the pain as she looked at Statham.

"Your reign ends tonight, vampire." Aya said as she hated these creatures who would take control of other Survivors. She even created this special barrier talisman that could go against any Vampire Spells.

Nonetheless, she could only protect people as she didn't create anything that could attack the Vampires since that wasn't her forte…

However, that didn't matter since she trusted that the others could deal with the Vampire Lord.

With the survivors momentarily safe, Shinja and Sparky seized their chance…

The Thunderbird recovered a bit of its energy and screamed!

Its wings spread wide as it summoned another storm of chain lightning.

Boom!

Just like that, bolts of raw electricity attacked Statham from all sides, forcing him to reinforce his blood armor—but the sheer voltage was overloading his defenses!

Furthermore, his Blood Spear had just been used. He wasn't able to pull up a stronger defense as he was at his weakest moments.

"RRRGH—!" Statham gritted his teeth as he endured the pain, his body was already smoking as the lightning seared through his regeneration.

While Statham was distracted, Shinja vanished once again…

It was the same move he used but since it was effective and he had practiced this with Sparky numerous times so he wouldn't get electrocuted, he certainly did his best.

He trusted that his Blade Dancer Skill which had been effective against Statham all this time, would also work…

Soon, his twin swords coated in the deadliest venom that his Toxicology Expertise could produce, struck the Vampire Lord.

He wasn't exactly sure how effective this was but even if it only weakened that Vampire Lord's regeneration, he was more than happy to use it repeatedly…

Whoosh~

With a swift swing behind the Vampire Lord, Shinja was able to slice through the back of Statham's knees, severing tendons and poisoning the blood fueling his armor.

"GAAAH—!" Statham stumbled. His monstrous form started to dismantle as the venom disrupted his magic.

It was at this time, that Aya made her move. She wasn't done yet.

Seeing that Statham was still filled with power. She knew that she had to assist them once again.

She may not be capable of creating an offensive talisman that would work well against the Vampire Lord, but she had enough ability to at least contain this threat!

She then threw a final talisman—this one was containing a sealing sigil!

It was supposedly a talisman used to protect people but it could also be used to contain danger!

It slammed onto Statham's chest and it burned into his flesh like a brand.

"By the spirits' decree—BE SEALED!"

Statham was unable to react in time, as he convulsed. It seemed like he was trying to remove the seal by removing the brand forcefully!

However, the seal was simply too strong, and soon, Statham realized that he was covered by a mysterious sacred energy.

Normally, this seal would heal the person while being protected by the seal's barrier from an outside force. However, it was the opposite for Statham.

If he was in full strength, Statham wouldn't get bothered by this intensity of Sacred Energy. He could easily endure this. But with the battle he had just now, he was starting to feel dizzy as his Blood Energy was already reaching its limit.

For a single, frozen moment—Statham was helpless.

Then, the moment that the seal lost its effect, Shinja's swords crossed at his neck while Sparky's talons plunged into his heart!

Boom!

Sparky's move was explosive and that attack created an explosion of lightning erupted, vaporizing Statham's body from the inside out!

The Vampire Lord didn't even have time to scream.

His body burst and blood was everywhere and soon, his flesh disintegrated into ash, carried away by the wind.

Everyone was stunned for a moment but soon, a deafening cheer erupted from the Eclipse Domain.

They had won!

"Whew~ Finally..." Shinja muttered as he leaned on his blade to stand up. He was too exhausted already.

The battlefield right now was a graveyard of corpses and the surroundings were already in a terrible condition. So many structures had fallen but thankfully, the Distillation Tower and the nearby warehouses in the south were still protected.

Thankfully, Shane arranged several layers of barrier in that place to ensure that it would be protected at all times.

In any case, a whole crowd of Survivors celebrated. A lot of them leveled up and gained so much loot. Although many of the defenders had actually died, they were at least able to defend the place, and their deaths weren't wasted.

"I will leave with my troops now… Send my regards to Shane." Lord Kang Zhen said to Diana as he led his soldiers back to the portal.

The Eclipse Domain was his source of fuel, spirit stones, and various potions after all. He was already happy to see that the place was finally safe once again.

"Very well… Thank you once again, Lord Kang Zhen… The payment will be sent soon once we settle some of our issues here." Diana immediately replied.

"It's fine. You can take your time." Lord Kang Zhen said before looking at the few people that caught his eye.

Aya the Shaman, Shinja the Warlord, Travis the Dragon, Seraph the Royal Knight, and Chaloem the Monk… These people were certainly special individuals.

He actually couldn't believe that even with that terrible Zombie Lure that the Vampires created, they only suffered a few casualties. If he was attacked by that Zombie Horde, even if he had ten of his current shelters, he doubted that he would be able to survive it at all.

"Right… Those Automated Turrets… If Shane is willing to sell some of them, we can add a few vehicles to our negotiation. We will prioritize you as well." Lord Kang Zhen suddenly said.

"Ahh… I'll let him know, Lord Kang Zhen..." Diana said as she nodded to the leader of the Neutral Shelter.

After the man and his team left, Diana and Aya finally approached where Travis, Shinja, and some others gathered.

They were actually at the spot where Statham had fallen.

As they reached the group, Diana noticed Travis's eyes squinting as he looked at the area. "You feel that?" He asked.

Diana was about to ask what was going on but at this time, Aya nodded grimly.

"His presence… it's not completely gone."

Everyone took a deep breath as soon as they immediately reached a similar conclusion.

Then, somewhere in the darkness, far away from the Eclipse Domain, a single drop of black blood quivered—then vanished into the earth.
