A young Leonardo DiCaprio was sitting waiting to audition for the role of Teddy Daniels, his agent had convinced him to audition for the role, his filming of Titanic had finished

Therefore he considered that he should take a little break after this.

"We are sorry but we think you are not what we are looking for"

Scorsese said while watching as a young black haired boy nodded his head showing a small trace of disappointment in his eyes

"So far 11 people have passed, none of them met our requirements"

David would say while looking at the notebook in which they marked with an x those who did not pass

"Next please pass"

David was surprised to see Leonardo DiCaprio, he knew that he himself was going to become the heartthrob of the time

"What is your name?"

Scorsese asked as he looked at him from head to toe

"My name is Leonardo DiCaprio, it's an honor for me to be here"

Scorsese had heard that a certain Leonardo DiCaprio was filming a James Cameron movie

"Come on Leo, take your time, I want to see how you get into the skin of Teddy Daniels, imagine that you've just arrived on the island and something doesn't fit, you're tired and overwhelmed and the environment is thinking about you"

David would say as he looked at Leonardo

Leonardo looked at him nervously, that guy commanded respect

He would close his eyes and settle down

"Everything on this damn island seems to be... upside down. Every time I try to take control of the situation, I feel as if something, someone, is watching me. People... are not what they seem here. I don't know if it's the damn air, the gray walls or the voices whispering in the shadows, but something doesn't fit."

He would take a step forward as he continued

"I've seen worse things, things that haunt me every night. I've fought in war, I've seen people die in ways I never imagined... but here, on this island, everything seems... more real, more personal. Every corner, every look, every word... like I'm being pushed to the edge."

Before he could say anything Scorsese would interrupt him

"You're hired."
