"You let go of him at once, Mu Yuxi!" Grandma Yu roared at the woman as she hobbled over to where Mu Yuxi was standing. "If you dare to touch my grandson tonight, I will fight to the death with you!"

Mu Yuxi paused. She turned to look at the big and small ones who were rushing towards her and sneered. The man listened to the words of Mu Yuxi and pursed his lips behind his mask. He then walked over to stop Yu Mai and Old Madam Fang.

He raised his foot and kicked Old Madam Fang who was rushing towards him. Once the old woman tumbled to the floor, he raised his feet to kick Yu Mai away as well but was stopped by Mu Yuxi.

"Don't kick him," she said with a sly grin. "Catch him instead, we will sell him to a low-grade brothel. I heard that there even a mer as young as ten years old loses his virtue. He is already eleven, he will fetch a good price."

But before she could say anything more Fang Chi started struggling against her. He said to him, "Don't touch him! He is just a child."

"I said I will go with you, what else do you want?" Fang Chi questioned. He was really scared that Mu Yuxi would harm Yu Mai. This woman seemed to have lost her head and could do anything at this moment!

"Go away, you bastard! You should be glad that I am letting them live! The things that your wife had done to me, even if I kill you all will not be enough," Mu Yuxi shouted as she slapped Fang Chi.

His face turned horribly swollen when she slapped him.

Mu Yuxi had long lost her patience with Fang Chi. She had been noticing how this mer who used to rely on her for the smallest thing and would look at her as if she was his world, was now looking at her with disgust.

"You…what are you doing?" Mu Yuxi asked the staggering woman. She could not understand what was going on but then she saw thorny vines as thick as a child's arms growing around the feet of the woman.

The thorns of the vines were deeply embedded in the skin of the woman's skin causing blood to seep out of her skin.

"W…what is this?" Mu Yuxi turned to look at Fang Chi but instead got an electric shock. The shock was so strong that she felt her teeth rattle and she unconsciously let go of Fang Chi who grabbed Little Fang from the ground and rushed past the man.

The man tried to hold him but just then a roar echoed in the backyard of the Yu family.

The roar was so loud that it shook the ground and when the man turned to look behind him, he saw a white panther walking toward him.

Its gait was neither fast nor slow as if the panther was teasing him. Upon seeing the white panther the man was scared shitless.
