The Weight of Destiny

Harry stood alone in the Forgotten Sanctum, the words of the fading memory still echoing in his mind:

"The Watchers were only the beginning. The Lords will come for you."

His heart raced, but not with fear.

This was bigger than him. Bigger than Hogwarts, Voldemort, or even the Ministry of Magic.

Magic itself is a lie, he realized. Or at least, the way we've been taught to understand it is.

His Gamer System flickered with new updates.

Quest Update: [The Rebellion of Magic]

• Next Objective: Seek the first relic of the Archmages.

• Hint: "Where magic begins, so too does the path of the heir."

Where magic begins?

The answer struck him almost immediately.

Hogwarts.

Not the school itself, but something beneath it—something ancient, older than the Founders.

If the Lords of Magic had hidden relics of the Archmages, Hogwarts would be the perfect place to start.

Time to go back.

Return to Hogwarts

Days later, Harry stood once again at the gates of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The towering castle loomed above him, bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun.

It felt different now.

Not just a school.

But a battleground waiting to happen.

He made his way through the corridors, avoiding unnecessary attention. Only a handful of people knew he had returned early from the holidays—Dumbledore, McGonagall, and a few trusted professors.

But Harry wasn't here for classes.

He was here to find the truth.

And it started with the Chamber of Secrets.

The Chamber Revisited

The entrance to the Chamber was exactly as he remembered—hidden beneath a bathroom sink, marked by the faded carvings of serpents.

Harry hissed in Parseltongue, and the stone slid aside, revealing the dark tunnel below.

But this time, as he descended, something felt… different.

The magic here is older than Salazar Slytherin, he realized. It was here long before him.

When he reached the massive underground chamber, he ignored the remains of the slain Basilisk and focused on the walls—the runes etched into the stone, half-hidden beneath layers of dust and time.

His Mystic Insight pulsed.

[Ancient Rune Detected]

• Origin: Pre-Hogwarts Era

• Language: Unknown

• Status: Dormant

Harry placed his hand against the stone.

The runes glowed faintly, reacting to his touch.

Then—

A hidden door appeared, seamlessly carved into the stone.

This wasn't here before.

His Gamer System chimed.

Hidden Area Unlocked: [Sanctum of the First Archmage]

• Warning: Strong magical wards detected. Proceed with caution.

Harry took a deep breath and stepped inside.

The Sanctum of the First Archmage

The chamber was unlike anything he'd ever seen.

Circular, with walls covered in glowing runes, and at its center—a pedestal holding a single object:

A staff, forged from blackened wood, etched with veins of silver and gold.

His heart skipped a beat.

An Archmage's relic.

But before he could take a step closer—

A voice echoed through the chamber.

"You should not be here."

Harry spun around, wand at the ready.

Standing in the shadows was another figure cloaked in dark robes, their face hidden behind a mask of polished obsidian.

Another Watcher.

But this one felt… different. Stronger.

His Gamer System flashed red.

Boss Encounter Initiated: [Watcher of the Black Circle]

• Threat Level: Extreme

• Objective: Survive or Defeat

• Warning: Hostile intent confirmed.

The Watcher raised their hand, and the air shattered around them—waves of raw magic rippling toward Harry like blades.

Harry reacted instantly.

[Arcane Barrier] Activated!

• MP Cost: 50 per second

The barrier absorbed the first wave, but the sheer force cracked it like glass.

They're stronger than the last one.

Harry countered with [Arcane Missiles], firing bursts of condensed mana.

The Watcher dodged with ease, moving faster than humanly possible, and retaliated with a blast of dark energy.

Harry rolled to the side, narrowly avoiding the attack.

I can't beat them head-on.

But he didn't need to.

The relic was the key.

The Power of the Relic

Diving toward the pedestal, Harry reached for the staff.

The moment his fingers brushed the ancient wood, power surged through him, unlike anything he'd ever felt.

His Gamer System exploded with new notifications.

Relic Acquired: [Staff of the First Archmage]

• Effect: Doubles all magical output

• Passive Ability: Grants access to forgotten spells of the Archmages

• New Skill Unlocked: [Void Pulse] (Lv. 1)

The Watcher lunged—

But Harry was faster.

He raised the staff, channeling pure magic through it.

"[Void Pulse]!"

A wave of black and violet energy erupted from the staff, crashing into the Watcher with devastating force.

The masked figure was thrown across the room, slamming into the wall with a sickening crack.

When the dust settled, the Watcher was gone—vanished into nothingness.

Harry collapsed to one knee, panting.

I won.

But this wasn't the end.

It was only the beginning.

Quest Update:

[The Rebellion of Magic]

• Objective: First relic acquired.

• Progress: 25%

• New Objective: Seek the next relic hidden in the heart of magical Britain.

Harry stood, gripping the staff tightly.

The Lords of Magic knew he was coming.

And he was ready.
