Heavens' Laughter

Chapter 82: Bone

He hammered blows above the young man's head, aiming for any target he could reach—his back, his sides, his shoulders—unleashing every ounce of power he could muster.

However, despite the power behind Tian Hao's punches, they did little damage.

The reason was clear: his Spiritual Physique was still at a relatively low level, primarily focused on providing protection against lower-tier physical attacks and all spiritual assaults.

And so, despite the full force of Tian Hao's punches, they lacked the power to break any bones.

Even if he wanted to channel his Qi into the strikes, he found himself unable to do so.

Tian Hao's Qi reserves were dangerously low, having already been drained earlier.

The continuous use of high-level techniques had taken its toll, and now, as he tried to summon more Qi, his body refused to cooperate.

Every movement felt heavier, each breath a struggle, as the exhaustion slowly crept in. Tian Hao's strength was fading, and with it, his hope of overpowering this insane bastard.

'Shit... Shit... Shit... This is bad... Really bad...' Tian Hao thought, panic creeping into his mind.

His eyes darted to the Spiritual Fire Piranhas, noticing how they were growing weaker by the second.

Their once ferocious biting slowed, their fiery glow dimming as their energy waned.

The realization hit Tian Hao like a punch to the gut—he hadn't expected this insane bastard to endure for so long.

After all, he should have been finished by now, yet he refused to go down!

No matter what Tian Hao threw at this insane bastard, no matter the techniques or the overwhelming force, it was like he couldn't kill him.

WHY WON'T YOU DIE!?" he screamed, his voice hoarse with disbelief and fury.

Tian Hao's body trembled. He finally summoned his sword with a snap of his wrist.

Without hesitation, he swung it down; the blade gleaming with lethal intent.

It struck the insane bastard's back with brutal force, piercing through the flesh, the tip of the sword sinking deep.

Yet, despite the blood that spurted from the wound…

Feng Shen's teeth remained locked into the instructor's leg.

Tian Hao's breath came in ragged gasps, his hands shaking as he yelled, "You're not human! You're a monster! WHY CAN'T I KILL YOU!?"

The pain in his voice was palpable, his disbelief boiling over as he stared at the man who refused to fall.

Quiet, muffled laughter emanated from Feng Shen's mouth.

With a sickening crunch, his teeth sank through the bone, snapping it like brittle wood, the sharp sound reverberating.

The force of the bite even caused some of Feng Shen's own teeth to crack and break, but he didn't care. Your next read awaits at My Virtual Library Empire

His golden eyes were devoid of any light.

With a sudden, violent jerk, Feng Shen pulled his head back, ripping a chunk of bone free as he yanked it out of the leg.

Blood poured from the wound, staining the ground beneath them.

But Feng Shen didn't care. His face twisted in a maddened grin as he held onto the piece of bone like a trophy.

He then spat the bone from his mouth, sending it flying through the air before catching it effortlessly in his hand.

Feng Shen stared at the piece of bone, blood still dripping from his lips:

"Ah~ this was truly fun~ don't you agree?"

Feng Shen's eyes flickered toward the instructor, who was now desperately trying to summon anything—any technique, any power—yet it seemed he couldn't.

"Shut up! Don't you dare open your mouth!"

Tian Hao's hand shook as he reached for his Qi, but it was in vain.

The Spiritual Fire Piranhas that had once swarmed around Feng Shen had already vanished in an instant, their fiery forms flickering out like dying embers.

Tian Hao couldn't summon a single thing. His body, already weakened and exhausted, now felt like it was suffocating.

"Now, now~ don't be such a sore loser~," Feng Shen said, his voice laced with mockery as he took slow, deliberate steps forward.

He chuckled softly. He was savoring every moment of this instructor's suffering.

The damage to Feng Shen's body—broken teeth, burned flesh, shattered bones—began to heal at an alarming rate.

Skin mended, muscles re-knitted themselves, and the burn marks faded like they had never been there.

Feng Shen's forbidden bloodline had surged with power, growing stronger with every passing second of this fight:

"Though~ before you die... I must thank you for helping me grow my forbidden bloodline~."

Feng Shen stopped just before the instructor. The bloodlust in his golden eyes had faded, but the coldness still lingered.

"Go fuck yourself…" Tian Hao spat, the thick saliva landing squarely on the face in front of him.

Standing on only one leg, he could barely hold himself up.

Tian Hao knew he was as good as dead:

'Such a pathetic way to go out… to lose to such a lower realm. I can only hope my soul will get revenge once it's recycled through the reincarnation cycle.'

Wiping the saliva off his face… Feng Shen sighed.

"You are one disrespectful son of a bitch~."

Without missing a beat, Feng Shen channeled his Qi, the energy swirling around his hand.

The moment his fingers clenched, a surge of power lashed out, cutting through the air.

The blade of Qi sliced cleanly through Tian Hao's neck.

In one smooth motion, the head was severed from his body, the lifeless head toppling forward and splashing into the water, sending small ripples across the surface.

The lifeless body crumpled, falling backward, its limbs splayed out.

"Ah~ that felt good~." Feng Shen stretched his arms above his head.

It had been a while since he'd been damaged so badly, to the point his entire body had to be regenerated.

Feng Shen's eyes glinted with a hint of amusement as he looked around:

"It seems I'm inside a created space… This is the Trial Overseer's doing, no doubt."

Feng Shen even noticed that everything around him was beginning to repair itself slowly:

"Well~ before I head back… I should make sure I'm all fixed up~"
