Chapter 15: - The Self-Proclaimed Apostle of the Lucky Pervert God
After defeating the 1st-floor boss, the Greater Rat, I found myself facing it once again.
To be honest, defeating the first Greater Rat had boosted my level to 3 as an explorer. Moreover, I had acquired a new job, which I promptly switched to for my second encounter with the Greater Rat.
**Dual-Sword Hero**: A warrior skilled in the art of wielding two-handed swords, possessing both intelligence and valor. Comes with skills such as “Command (Minor),” “Group HP Auto-Heal (Minor),” “Body Enhancement (Minor),” and “Buster Slash (Minor).” To acquire this job, one must display both wisdom and courage by defeating a boss monster single-handedly.
**Skill – Command (Minor)**: Increases STR, VIT, AGI, INT, MIN, and DEX by 5% for all individuals under one’s command. Maximum number of subordinates: 10. (Passive skill)
**Skill – Group HP Auto-Heal (Minor)**: Gradually restores HP for oneself and all subordinates. Healing rate: 1 HP per minute. (Passive skill)
**Skill – Body Enhancement (Minor)**: Increases STR, VIT, AGI, INT, MIN, and DEX by 10 points each. (Passive skill)
**Skill – Buster Slash (Minor)**: Two-handed sword technique. Unleashes a slashing attack with double ATK on enemies within 5 meters. Consumes 5 MP. (Active skill)
Upon acquiring the new job “Dual-Sword Hero,” my stats, including STR and VIT, increased to 8 (not including equipment and skill bonuses), effectively matching those of a level 3 explorer. Although other attributes were somewhat lower, the “Body Enhancement (Minor)” skill provided a significant boost of 10 points to STR, VIT, AGI, INT, MIN, and DEX, making me much stronger than a typical explorer.
It’s worth noting that I didn’t have the “Command” skill, which seemed to be a strengthening skill for those under command.
Despite my constant job changes at low levels, I couldn’t truly grasp the full extent of my innate strength. However, this new job felt promising.
When I asked Anneliese about the “Dual-Sword Hero” job, she mentioned that heroes were rare and didn’t appear often. Even so, there had been a fair number of heroes throughout history.
I had initially thought that this hero job might be a landmine due to its similarity to the title of a “hero,” but I decided to use it anyway, considering Anneliese’s explanation. Besides, once I left the dungeon, I could always change to another job.
The movements of the Greater Rat seemed incredibly slow to me now. The positive bonuses from the “Body Enhancement” skill were truly remarkable. Plus, the skill didn’t consume any MP, making it even more dependable.
I swiftly moved faster than the Greater Rat and cleaved its body in two with ease. There was no need to exploit its attack pattern gaps this time; the victory was swift and decisive. Despite the considerable struggle the first time I faced the Greater Rat, this new hero job made it feel incredibly easy.
It seemed that hero-type jobs were on par with heroes in terms of strength. They excelled in battle and had the added advantage of being able to enhance their allies.
While they couldn’t use magic like heroes, their skillset more than compensated for it.
“Why is there even a summoning option for heroes if heroes are as strong as this?” I wondered aloud.
“Summoning a hero is a more certain way to obtain their aid, whereas the appearance of a hero is dependent on luck. The summoning option is considered more reliable,” Anneliese explained.
I nodded in understanding. Pursuing efficiency and reliability seemed to be the key considerations when it came to heroes.
In my case, I fulfilled both conditions by deciphering the Greater Rat’s attack pattern and bravely launching my assault, earning the title of “Dual-Sword Hero” in the process.
“I’ve gained a level,” I exclaimed in surprise.
I hadn’t expected to level up after defeating just one enemy. But then again, this was no ordinary foe; it was a level 5 boss, after all.
“Did you acquire a new job?” Anneliese asked.
“It wouldn’t be meaningful if it were that easy,” I replied.
Whether you were an explorer or a hero, obtaining a new job was a challenging feat. I had just been fortunate enough to have the right weapon, but new jobs didn’t come easily.
“I see. What a shame,” Anneliese said, her expression resembling that of a disappointed child.
Even though she was talking about my job, her forlorn attitude was just too endearing.
“Leaving that aside, do you mind if I continue hunting Greater Rats until the Dual-Sword Hero reaches level 3?”
“Yes, I will accompany you.”
We entered the 2nd floor of the dungeon from the boss room and immediately used Dungeon Move to return to the 1st floor boss room.
Perhaps due to the Greater Rat’s level 5 status, my level as a Dual-Sword Hero had already increased by 2 after just one battle.
With a few more fights, I would likely reach level 3.
After two more battles, I reached level 3 as a Dual-Sword Hero.
“It’s a rare drop,” Anneliese exclaimed.
The rare drop was a “Lucky Tail,” an item that slightly increased the drop rate of rare items. It didn’t count as equipment, so I attached it to my belt. A 5% increase might not sound like much, but it was said to be quite valuable.
“In high-level parties, everyone carries this Lucky Tail. Usually, it takes more than 20 hunts to acquire, so getting it on the 4th try was lucky,” Anneliese explained.
“That’s fortunate. I got lucky, then.”
When I thought of Lucky Tails, I imagined rabbit’s feet, but in this world, it seemed they were rat tails. Different worlds, different customs, I supposed.
Today’s harvest included 16 pieces of rat meat for 800 Gril, one sharp front tooth for 1,000 Gril, and three Greater Rat tails for 4,500 Gril. In total, it amounted to 6,300 Gril (equivalent to 63,000 yen).
It was a decent sum, and I believed it would be enough to cover my lodging, meals, and equipment maintenance expenses with some left over.
As for the items found in the boss room, they were all rather insignificant, so I left them behind. Someone else would likely pick them up eventually.
Boss drop items fetched a decent price even when they were normal quality, making boss farming a viable way to earn money.
This was made possible thanks to the Dungeon Move ability exclusive to explorers, which made dungeon runs much more efficient. Despite this advantage, it seemed no one was interested in becoming an explorer.
“Do you know of any shops or craftsmen who can maintain this equipment?” I asked.
While my Mithril two-handed sword had auto-repair capabilities, my armor didn’t.
I hadn’t taken any damage until today, but the Greater Rat had managed to strike me several times.
Anneliese thought for a moment before responding, “I do know a craftsman, but your equipment isn’t in bad shape yet, so I’ll take care of it for you.”
“Well, if you insist…”
“I cannot allow you to do such things, Master. I will personally take responsibility for the maintenance.”
“Alright, then. I’ll leave it to you.”
She promised to take care of it when we returned to the inn.
On our way back, I purchased some oil for maintenance purposes.
‘armor and weapons are your life’s work. They need to be cared for, but only in a minor way.”
The detailed appraisal also said that maintenance had to be done in small steps. So I thought I was leaving it to the craftsmen.
Come to think of it, Mr Nailuza told me to wipe my sword with old clothes. Huh? Anneliese wipes her equipment with old clothes too?
Even the underwear that old Anneliese used to wear …… is now being worn by young Anneliese. What should we think about this?
Should I be excited or should I nod off? …… It could be a critical juncture, like the dividing line in human life.
Arriving at the inn, I went back to my room and changed my clothes.
The first thing to do is to take off your clothes.
‘Oh, um, …….’
‘Yes. What is it?”
What is Anneliese doing with a nonchalant face? I’m not an old woman, I don’t want to see that. No, on the contrary, I want to see it.
Let’s show our master’s dignity here!
‘Anneliese.’
‘Yes.’
Anneliese takes her hands off her clothes and looks at me.
‘I am a man.’
Yes. I was surprised when I first found out, but I know.’
‘Oh, you were surprised? What part of it? You were totally blank, weren’t you?’
‘No, I wasn’t. I was very surprised. I just had a hard time moving my facial muscles at the time.
‘I see. ……’
‘I heard that people mistake me for a girl when I’m wearing clothes.
‘You were wearing men’s clothes, right?’
‘Many women wear men’s clothes. Especially those in physically active professions.’
So you saw a lot of women with no colour!
No, I’m not talking about that now. It’s about showing my dignity!
‘Do you have any qualms about being naked in front of me, a man?’
‘It’s only been a few days since I was bought, but I’ve already shown my nakedness to my master ……’
And that was an old woman! Even her breasts were wrinkled and sagging down to her navel!
‘Anneliese is young again. Is it okay for me to see that young, fresh body of yours?’
‘I am ashamed. But I am the master’s. ……
Her voice gets quieter and quieter.
‘If you don’t look at me too much,…… if you close your eyes a little,……
You’re embarrassed if they see you. I understand. I understand that feeling.
But I refuse!
No, you see it, normally. In fact, it would be disrespectful to the Lucky Skate God if you don’t look at it.
I may not be lucky in this situation, but I’m a self-appointed apostle of the god of lucky skating!
‘If Anneliese really doesn’t want to, I’ll close my eyes, but if not, just think of me as a girl.
What?”
Secret technique pretending to be a girl!
‘It’s not so embarrassing when we’re both girls, is it?’
‘It is, but …… I understand. When I get dressed, I’ll think of Master as a girl.
The only question now is whether I can withstand the desire. But not looking is not an option!
Dignity? What’s that, delicious?
Anneliese is the type of person who wears skinny clothes. No, her breasts were very assertive when she was dressed, but they’re even more so when she’s undressed.
They are not F or G. Probably H above that. She has a very H body.
Moreover, you can clearly see the waist, and her legs are thin. And yet her buttocks are well-shaped and of an easy-break type. It’s an easy-break type, ma’am. I’ve said this twice because it’s important.
Oh, I’m glad I’m alive. I’m reincarnated, though.
