Highschool DxD: Damn, I'm OP as Fuck!

Chapter 47: Chapter 46: Grayfia

Renji had sensed something unusual about Rias and her peerage all day.

In the morning, she had vanished with Akeno, Koneko, and Asia, leaving the school for some unknown reason.

And when she finally returned in the afternoon—

Her expression was complicated.

The usual confidence she radiated was missing.

The moment she entered the classroom, her sapphire eyes flickered toward Renji, as if making an important decision.

Renji met her gaze, but she quickly looked away.

He didn't know what was on her mind—

But he had a feeling.

Something big was coming.

---

Later that night, after dinner, Renji went through his usual routine—

A quick shower. A light workout. Then straight to bed.

But just as he lay down—

A crimson magic circle appeared in his room.

The air shimmered with red light, glowing brighter by the second.

Then—

The light faded.

And standing before him was Rias Gremory, dressed in a sheer nightgown.

Her crimson locks cascaded down her shoulders, and her face—

Held no hesitation.

"Rias?" Renji sat up, blinking in surprise. "What are you—"

"Don't talk," Rias interrupted, her voice firm.

"Just listen to me."

She stepped closer.

Renji frowned.

There was something different about her.

"Perhaps," she murmured, more to herself than him, "this is the only way I can escape his grasp…"

Renji narrowed his eyes.

She wasn't making any sense.

But before he could ask—

Rias took another step, her fingers lightly touching his chest.

"And… compared to him…" she whispered.

"I don't hate the idea of it being you."

Renji understood.

Riser Phoenix.

The arranged marriage between Rias and that overgrown turkey from the Phoenix Clan.

Her family had forced this on her.

And now, she was doing the only thing she could to fight back.

She was staking her future on her own terms.

"Rias," Renji said, his voice calm but firm.

"You understand, right?"

"There's no turning back from this."

Rias didn't hesitate.

"I know."

Her eyes burned with determination.

"I've made my choice."

Renji held her gaze for a long moment.

Then, with a small smirk, he pulled her closer.

"Then let's make sure you don't regret it."

That night—

Rias's moans were so loud that it made the people living in Renji's house to not be able to sleep.

---

Sunlight streamed through the curtains.

Rias lay beside him, awake but deep in thought.

Her expression was unreadable—until she turned toward him and smiled.

"It's done," she said softly.

Renji sat up, stretching.

"Now what?" he asked.

"The rest is up to me," Rias said, sitting up as well.

Her blue eyes met his.

"I'll handle everything."

Renji could see the weight of her decision settling on her shoulders.

She had chosen this path—

Now she had to face the consequences.

He reached out, brushing a strand of hair from her face.

"You're mine now," he said simply.

"And if anyone tries to take you away—"

His eyes darkened dangerously.

"I'll cut off their hands."

Rias blinked, surprised by his intensity.

Then she smiled.

"It seems," she murmured, "I really did make the right choice."

---

By the time they left for school, Rias was acting as if nothing had happened.

Renji, however—

Was not prepared for what came next.

"Senpai," Koneko said, looking directly at him.

"You were too loud last night."

Renji froze mid-step.

Asia, who was walking beside them, turned her blushing face away, looking betrayed.

Her soft voice trembled.

"I… I barely slept at all…"

Renji felt his soul leave his body.

Even Rias—who was usually composed—instinctively tightened her grip on his arm, her own face turning red.

Koneko's golden eyes sharpened, her tiny hands clenching into fists.

Renji could feel the murderous aura coming from her.

"Are you really that much of a beast?"

Renji sighed.

He was never going to live this down.

---

As they arrived at the school gates, they saw Akeno waiting for them.

She wasn't smiling.

Which meant—

Something serious was happening.

"Rias," Akeno said.

Her voice lacked its usual playfulness.

"Lady Grayfia is here."

Rias's body stiffened.

Grayfia.

The strongest Queen of the Underworld.

The personal servant of Sirzechs Lucifer—Rias's older brother.

The moment Akeno spoke her name, Renji knew—

This wasn't just a family visit.

Something big was coming.

And Renji had a feeling…

He was about to be dragged into it.
