Chapter 6: A New Beginning
A New Beginning
Warmth.
It was the first thing I felt as consciousness returned to me. No blinding lights, no rush of memories—just a gentle warmth surrounding me, cradling me in an embrace I had never known before. Was this what it felt like to be reborn?
My senses were dull at first, my body weak and unfamiliar. The weightlessness I had felt moments ago was gone, replaced by a comforting heaviness. I could hear muffled voices, speaking in a language I didn't immediately recognize. The words were foreign yet melodic, soft whispers filled with affection.
Then, a soft touch—a hand brushing against my cheek.
Instinctively, I turned toward the warmth, toward the presence that called to me. A voice, clear and filled with love, spoke in a gentle tone.
"Mon doux trésor… Bienvenue au monde."
A new life. A new family.
Slowly, the pieces started falling into place. I had been given another chance, reborn into a world of magic once more. My name, I realized, was Aimé DuPont—a name spoken with love and reverence by the woman holding me. My mother.
She was breathtaking, with silver-blonde hair cascading down her shoulders and deep blue eyes that shimmered with warmth. Half-Veela. The realization settled in, connecting me to a legacy I had only read about before. If she carried the bloodline of Apolline Delacour, then I was bound to the same heritage—a descendant of beauty, charm, and magic.
My father stood beside her, his brown eyes filled with awe as he gazed down at me. A wizard. A proud French half-blood wizard. His hands trembled slightly as he reached for me, his expression torn between joy and disbelief.
This was my new beginning. A life untainted by misfortune, a family untouched by tragedy.
And as I lay in my mother's arms, safe and warm, a single thought echoed in my mind—
I will protect this happiness.
Fast forward six months, and I can finally lift my head without assistance. I can even sit up without back support—what an achievement! But most importantly, I can now access my system.
From the moment I was born, my parents stuck to me like glue. They barely left me alone for a second. At first, I thought this was normal. Oh, how wrong I was!
One evening, when I was just five months old, my parents took me to the park for the first time. Nestled comfortably in my mother's lap, I observed my surroundings. The setting sun bathed the plains in a golden glow, birds fluttered homeward, and families strolled leisurely. Everything seemed peaceful—until it wasn't.
Out of nowhere, all the dogs and cats in the vicinity—both pets and strays—rushed toward us, forming a circle around me. Birds veered off course and perched on the trees above, chirping excitedly, almost as if they were greeting me. And to my utter shock, I understood them.
The sudden shift in nature left the nearby park-goers stunned. Concerned strangers approached to offer help, only to freeze mid-step upon seeing me.
"Is that… really a human baby?" a lady blurted out in astonishment. Then, as if realizing her rudeness, she quickly apologized.
"Oh! I'm so sorry… It's just… It's just… beautiful! A squishy, angelic baby! A perfect bundle of joy!" She practically gushed, and soon, others joined in, nodding enthusiastically and throwing in their own praises.
The real highlight? My mother's valiant struggle to keep her lips from curving into a smug smile.
The admiration continued until my yawns became impossible to ignore. Realizing I was sleepy, the crowd dispersed on their own. On the way home, I nestled my head against my mother's shoulder, drifting into a peaceful slumber.
Now, six months in, I finally opened my system for the first time.
[ Ding! Welcome, Host! I am here to assist and support you! ]

Ignoring the snarky remark, I had to admit—the panel looked quite luxurious. A bit empty, sure, but I had time to fill it up. Unfortunately, I couldn't use magic yet, so my potential remained locked behind that cursed "Lv 0."
It took me three whole days to fully grasp my talents and traits. And let me tell you—some of them were downright ridiculous.
Child Under the Blessing of Time: This allows me to travel through time—both past and future! The number of times I can do this depends on my magic reserves. I can even bring animate and inanimate objects with me. The only catch? If two versions of the same person meet from different timelines, I'll be trapped in a time loop and lose my ability to time travel. Yikes.
Infinite Charm: Works on everyone. Not just the opposite gender—literally everyone. Sentient creatures can't hate me. They instinctively lower their guard and feel the urge to protect me. No wonder my parents are so overprotective! And those two house-elves? Yeah… let's save that story for another day.
Natural Magizoologist: I can communicate with every living creature, magical or non-magical, without learning their language. They also trust me unconditionally, likely due to my charm. Makes sense why the park turned into a mini Noah's Ark.
Heart of Justice: This allows me to convert all dark magic I learn into a brand-new form of white magic. Not only that, but when I defeat dark creatures, I can purify them and turn them into my summons. They'll be completely cleansed of any negativity and will remain loyal to me. Overpowered? Yes. Useful? Absolutely.
Clairvoyance: I can see the future—anytime, anywhere. No need for a medium like a crystal ball. With enough magic power, I can even show these visions to others. Time to capitalize on this and make a fortune? Maybe.
High Priest of Goddess Nyx: This one left me speechless. Not only does it boost my magic power at night, but since Nyx governs sleep, dreams, and even death to some extent, I can enter people's dreams and alter them. And the kicker? I can bring ten people back from the dead. TEN.
…Excuse me?! How is this even fair?
Now, onto my traits. The first one made me faceplant onto the floor, causing my mother and the house-elves to panic.
Loved by All: Every being with intelligence—Gods, Goddesses, Angels, Elves, Dwarves, Atlanteans, humans (both magical and non-magical), and intelligent creatures—can't help but cherish me. They'll naturally want to make me their favorite. This explains my entire existence up until now.
The second trait? It gave me insomnia.
Mortal Born to be a Priest: This allows me to receive blessings from deities who have never blessed another living being. For instance, I could receive blessings from the God of Time or the Goddess of Darkness, as they have never granted their favor to anyone. However, I cannot receive blessings from deities who have already blessed specific races, such as the God of the Sun, the Goddess of the Moon, the God of Fire and Metallurgy, the God of Oceans and Storm and the lastly the Goddess of Magic (who blessed Witches and Wizards). There are still hundreds of unclaimed blessings out there… meaning this trait is absurdly powerful.
By the end of my system analysis, I had just one thought:
I am ridiculously overpowered… and I love it.
