HOGWARTS - HARRY

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: The Three Unforgivable Curses at the Beginning

The faint morning light struggled to filter through the narrow basement window, casting dim beams onto the cramped room.

Dylan Hawkwood stared at the envelope on the table, his mind blank with shock.

A moment ago, he had opened the window as usual, hoping the fresh air would dispel the stagnant air from the night before.

Unexpectedly, an owl swooped in with a loud whoosh, nearly knocking over the candlestick on the table as it flapped its wings wildly. It finally landed awkwardly on the old wooden surface, a letter tied securely to its leg—the very letter now lying before him.

At first, Dylan paid it little attention.

He had been about to shoo the owl away when his eyes caught a distinctive emblem on the envelope.

The shield-shaped crest depicted a majestic lion, a soaring eagle, a steadfast badger, and a cunning serpent encircling a large letter "H."

Above and below the emblem, two elegant banners bore the words: "Hogwarts" and "Sleeping Dragon, Do Not Disturb."

For a moment, Dylan's expression froze, as though lightning had struck the depths of his memory.

"Hogwarts?!"

Familiar yet foreign elements surged through his mind like an unstoppable tide, breaking down the floodgates of forgotten knowledge.

Hermione and Her Two Flaws?

"I... I'm in the world of Harry Potter?"

Dylan had always believed he had traveled back in time to historical England.

But despite waiting since childhood, his so-called "golden finger"—the cheat-like advantage that transmigrators were supposed to have—never appeared.

His parents were ordinary office workers, their financial situation modest at best.

After a decade of struggle, he had long given up on any fantastical hopes of gaining special abilities.

Instead, he planned to use his foresight of technological advancements to make strategic stock investments and secure a comfortable, worry-free life.

That had been his ultimate goal.

But this letter shattered his dream without mercy.

The world was far more dangerous than he had imagined. Even if he amassed great wealth, it could vanish in an instant.

Wizards could simply flick their wands and utter a few incantations.

A single Legilimency spell or Imperius Curse could strip him of his free will in an instant.

And if he encountered a truly ruthless wizard?

A flash of green light—game over.

Dylan's relaxed posture stiffened as a chilling sense of crisis washed over him.

He reached for the envelope, his fingers trembling. As soon as he took it, the owl flapped its wings and vanished out the window.

But amid the fear, another thought emerged.

"At least now I have the opportunity to learn magic."

If he had received a Hogwarts acceptance letter, it meant he could wield magic. He had the chance to protect himself.

At the very least, he could master some escape and defense spells before investing in stocks!

Dylan made up his mind—he would focus on studying magic at Hogwarts.

He would prioritize defensive spells, maxing out his protections before considering anything else.

Once he had grown strong enough, he could slip back into the Muggle world and live peacefully, free from danger.

How wonderful that would be.

Dylan stared at the envelope for a long moment.

Finally, he tore it open with trembling fingers and pulled out the parchment inside.

As Dylan finished reading, an unfamiliar interface abruptly appeared before his eyes.

"Huh?"

He blinked in shock.

Could this be the golden finger that had eluded him for ten years?

Excitement surged through him as he quickly examined the interface.

The system was divided into four categories:Wizard Hat – Personal InformationMagic Scroll – Quests & AchievementsMagic Wand – Spell MasteryMagic Book – ??? (Mysterious)Wizard Hat (Personal Info)

The task bar was currently empty, but an achievement had already been unlocked:

[Achievement]: First Encounter

[Description]: You have been blessed by magic! Welcome to a world where wizards and Muggles coexist.

[Unlock Requirement]: Witness your first magical event.

[Reward]: A New Student Gift Pack.

Dylan's pulse quickened as he clicked on the magic wand icon.

A new page appeared.

[Name]: Dylan Hawkwood

[Refinable Spells]: None

The spell refinement tool seemed to allow skill upgrades.

But the magic book icon remained locked, offering no clues.

Dylan frowned in confusion.

Still, there was one thing left to check—his New Student Gift Pack.

He clicked to open it.

A system prompt flashed before him.

[New Student Gift Pack]: Upon opening, you will receive a magical creature and three full-level spells.

"Wait... THREE full-level spells?"

Dylan's eyes widened.

A full-level spell, right from the start?!

His heart pounded.

He wasn't too concerned about the magical creature—anything would be fine.

But three max-level spells? That was insane.

With nervous anticipation, he opened the gift pack.

Four golden lights shot upward, illuminating the interface like falling stars.

His heartbeat accelerated.

Three of the stars shifted, twisted, and collapsed into black mist—like miniature black holes.

Then, suddenly, knowledge flooded into his mind.

Dylan saw countless figures—not only humans but also strange creatures.

He stood before them, wand raised.

First Spell

"Ahhh—!"

People in the front row collapsed, writhing in agony, their screams piercing the air.

[Spell Unlocked: Crucio (Full-Level)]

Second Spell

Thump.

A body crumpled, struck by a flash of green light.

Silence.

[Spell Unlocked: Avada Kedavra (Full-Level)]

Third Spell

Their gazes dulled.

Hollow.

They stood motionless, like puppets.

[Spell Unlocked: Imperio (Full-Level)]

Dylan's ears buzzed with whispers.

The knowledge of these three Unforgivable Curses embedded itself deep within his soul.

Even without a wand, he could feel their power, ready to be unleashed.

But when he looked at his spell list, dizziness overcame him.

"Am I seeing this right?"

He squeezed his eyes shut, unwilling to believe it.

But he didn't need to look.

He already knew the truth.

These three curses—the Cruciatus Curse, the Killing Curse, and the Imperius Curse—were now his.

"What kind of system is this?! Are you trying to get me arrested the moment I step into Hogwarts?!"
