Hogwarts: The Child Who Improves Too Much!

Chapter 2: The Professor Comes To Your Door

July 28th, early morning.

"You didn't get to sleep well last night?"

"Yeah. I wouldn't be having this sleepy bags if I could."

Ethan nodded to his father, Philemon Adrian, who was reading a newspaper on the sofa.

Over the past two days, Ethan had spent a lot of time studying magic.

The Imperius Curse, Killing Curse, and Cruciatus Curse—each had been tested countless times, resulting in a severe lack of sleep, leaving him sluggish and exhausted.

These were the Unforgivable Curses, which Ethan could not practice on humans. So, the best targets were mice.

He had instructed the servants to procure a hundred of them, and there were still plenty left. Thanks to these mice, Ethan had gained a deeper understanding of magic.

To cast magic successfully, the wand, gesture, spell, emotion, and magic output were all essential.

However, at full mastery, spells bypassed the need for wands, gestures, and incantations, requiring only emotion and magical energy.

With his "Heart of Darkness" talent, Ethan didn't even need emotional assistance. He could cast magic simply by controlling his magical output.

In just two days, Ethan had gone from using his fingers to cast the Killing Curse to cast it with just his eyes, capable of killing with a glare.

The fully mastered Killing Curse, combined with his enhanced dark magic talent, was formidable—superior even to Voldemort's.

The only drawback was that this magic could not be used openly.

It was thanks to his achievement reward from "The Mastermind" that not even the Minister of Magic detected his usage of spells out in the open world.

If Ethan didn't have this, let's not talk about using dark spells, even using a basic spell as Lumos could get him in trouble.

During his experiments, Ethan also unlocked two achievements.

[Wandless Casting]

High-level magical skill. You have advanced far in the study of magic.

Achievement Goal: Successfully cast a spell without a wand.

Reward: A random spell.

[Eyes of Lumina]

Glowing eyes, the most beautiful piercing glaze of light.

Achievement Goal: Successfully release any spell using only your eyes.

Reward: A random spell.

The rewards from these achievements were satisfactory: the Petrification Curse and a spell called Energy Siphoning.

The Petrification Curse was Straightforward.

It was a powerful enchantment that immobilized their targets by turning them into stone-like states, effectively rendering them unable to move, speak, or cast magic until the spell was lifted or countered.

Energy Siphoning, on the other hand, was a more complex spell.

It detonated the enemy's magic, causing explosive damage, while simultaneously absorbing their magical energy to create a protective shield. This shield could enhance the caster's next spell.

While these two spells were promising, they weren't at full mastery like the Unforgivable Curses from the initial gift package.

They were still at the basic level, requiring wands and gestures.

But that was fine. Ethan planned to get a wand today.

According to an owl's reply received yesterday, a professor from Hogwarts would be arriving to guide new students today.

Ethan marveled at the speed of the owl's delivery. Just in one day, it was able to go back to Hogwarts and come here.

His status panel has also been updated.

"If it were me, I'd be too excited to sleep!"

Philemon Adrian put down the newspaper and chuckled.

Children were naturally curious about the magical world.

Even though Ethan usually behaved precociously, it was normal for him to act like an excited child now that he was about to be a wizard.

"I'm not excited—just exhausted from studying magic," Ethan said, collapsing onto the sofa.

"What have you figured out?"

"Without a wand, you can't use magic, so I still need to buy one."

Philemon Adrian's mouth twitched. This kid was just messing with him.

"Alright, it's time for breakfast," Ethan's mother, Nitia, called out.

Nitia doesn't usually enter the kitchen, as household duties are handled by the nanny.

She mainly manages operations at Adrian's ocean freight company.

However, because the Hogwarts professor was visiting today, both she and Philemon had rushed home from America, arriving yesterday.

The couple still attaches great importance to Ethan's going to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Although they have never seen a wizard, they believe that the content of the admission letter is very likely to be true, not a prank.

The Andrian family is engaged in ocean freight, and there are indeed some strange rumors running about the existence of a magical world. So, it wasn't completely out of the blue that they would suddenly believe in this stuff.

Not to mention, it is stupid to have such a well-trained owl used to play pranks for fun.

It was precisely nine o'clock when the doorbell rang.

"I am here."

The Adrian family, seated on the sofa, straightened nervously.

"I'll get it!"

Philemon took a deep breath and stood. It had been years since he felt this nervous.

Because of what was written in the reply letter the things about wizards cannot be spread widely, and it is better for ordinary people not to know.

So, today the servants in the house have a day off, and the master of the house have to open the door myself.

"You are..."

When he did, a dark green robe and a pointed wizard's hat came into view.

The visitor was a stern-looking woman in her sixties, with square-framed glasses perched on her nose.
