Chapter 7: Experimental Magic
"Sherbet Lemon."
Saying the password to one of the principal's offices, Professor McGonagall stepped into the room after her return to Hogwarts.
The first thing that caught her eyes was an old man with long silver hair, blue eyes, and a long nose that was a little crooked. There was black tea and several kinds of desserts on the table.
It was obviously his afternoon tea time.
"Minerva, you came at the right time."
Dumbledore said, and he had already poured a cup of black tea for Professor McGonagall and took out a lot of desserts from under the desk.
As a lonely old man over a hundred years old, there was usually no one to accompany him for afternoon tea.
"Lonely" was completely his normal state.
Today, he was in a good mood because he had a companion.
"Albus, I have something to tell you."
Sitting opposite Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall did not touch the desserts and black tea on the table but talked about Ethan's various things.
From Ethan's home events to the wand shop incidents, all narrated briefly.
"This year our school will welcome a talented little wizard."
After listening patiently, Dumbledore took a sip of the black tea on the table.
Except for a few exceptions, such as Harry Potter, Dumbledore treated all other little wizards equally.
Whether they were Muggles or purebloods, with good or bad talents, they were all his students, there was no difference.
Ethan's talent for dark magic did make him pay more attention, but that was all.
"It's good that you know."
After that, Professor McGonagall began to enjoy afternoon tea.
Although Ethan's talent was something to look after, they didn't have any other ideas on how it would bloom.
Professor McGonagall came just to remind Dumbledore that, after all, talented people will always be paid extra attention.
Moreover, after teaching at Hogwarts for so many years, what kind of people have they not seen?
Isn't it just a little wizard with a talent for dark magic? They have sent many wizards like that to Azkaban!
If Ethan bears the same ill intentions as them, he will also share the same fate as them!
...
On the other side, after Ethan returned home, he talked to his parents about Diagon Alley and the situation of wizards.
After lunch, he returned to his room.
During the alley's visit, he had completed several achievements but hadn't had time to check them.
-[The First Stop of Wizards]

The first step of making potions is to have a cauldron.
Achievement goal: Own a cauldron (1/1)
Achievement reward: Improved potion talent.
"Amazing!" Seeing the system messages, Ethan's eyes glow up in excitement.
He didn't expect it at all.
He got five achievements just by going to Diagon Alley.
Not to mention, his wizard talent along with his potion talent has improved remarkably.
The "Heavy Soul" talent has already improved his learning efficiency. Now that "Focus" has been improved, he can't give anyone else a way out.
He also has 100 gold galleons and a magic spell.
Ethan didn't have any plans on how to spend these 100 gold galleons. So, he would leave it for later.
As the familiar information flowed into his mind, Ethan also knew about the spell he got this time.
He hurriedly opened the spells page.
Disillusionment spell: Hide your body from being discovered.
It is a special spell for night tours of Hogwarts.
Although this spell isn't considered advanced, and Powerful wizards can see through the Disillusionment Charm, Filch definitely can't.
"Alright, time to try these magics," Ethan said as he picked up his first-ever wand in haste.
Except for the three unforgivable spells at the maximum level, he has not tried other magic because he didn't have a wand.
He couldn't wait any longer to use them.
"Invisible without a trace!"
As the voice fell, Ethan gradually became transparent from his footsteps until he completely disappeared.
It was very simple and smooth, but the process was a little slow.
Disrupting the flow of magic power, Ethan took the initiative to recover from the invisible state.
Then he tried a few more times, and the speed of invisibility was getting faster and faster until the spell could be successful during movement.
Next is the petrification spell.
This requires the white mouse to be used again.
"Petrification!"
A blue light shot out from the top of the magic wand, and the moment it hit the white mouse, the white mouse stopped moving and turned gray.
Then, one question troubled Ethan.
"But how to reverse the effect?"
"Should I wait until the magic power is naturally consumed?"
After some thinking, Ethan shook his head.
"Never mind, it will eventually return to normal after some time."
Then, he shifted his gaze to the mouse in the box.
"Now, it is time to use the magic of siphoning energy."
Ethan waved his wand in the direction.
With a "bang", the mouse in the box was blown to pieces.
But it didn't form a shield, nor did it strengthen the next spell. After a little thought, Ethan understood what was going on.
This mouse has no magic power to absorb anything at all, so it can only be used as an explosion spell.
To fully exert the full effect of siphoning energy, it has to be used on wizards or magical animals.
He tried all the magic he knew, and finally took out the "Standard Spells: Elementary" he bought from Diagon Alley.
After a rough look, Ethan found that there was not much content in this book.
Only the Illumination Spell, the Unlocking Spell, the Repairing Spell, the Cutting Spell, the Levitation Spell, the Flame Spell, and the Binding Spell.
After going through the information of these spells in his mind, he felt no pressure!
He turned to the page of the Cutting Spell, read it carefully, and then looked at the Repairing Spell.
"Shattered into pieces!"
"Restored as before!"
The vase that had just exploded, as if time had gone back, all the fragments returned to their original positions, and the cracks disappeared.
Then Ethan began to learn other magic and learned them all before dinner.
For Ethan, it can be said that magic is much easier to learn than mathematics and physics. There is absolutely no pressure at all!
