Chapter 154: Chapter 149: March 7th, A New Photo Added To My Collection!
"...You go." Dan Heng closed his eyes, thought for a moment, and finally uttered two words.
"How about we settle it with rock-paper-scissors? Loser goes." March 7th looked reluctant, glancing at the nearby residents who were spectating. She extended her hand toward Dan Heng.
After a brief silence, Dan Heng nodded in agreement. To March 7th's disbelief, he won the match.
"Hehe, how about best two out of three?"
"Don't walk away, Dan Heng!" March 7th puffed her cheeks and tugged at Dan Heng's sleeve as he turned to leave.
-----------------------
"..." Dan Heng sighed helplessly. If Mr. Welt were here, things would be easier.
If Welt were around, he might have said, "Ahem! That child… I can't handle them."
"Hehe." March 7th watched Dan Heng walk toward Stelle, took out her camera, and made a peace sign while capturing Dan Heng's back and Stelle's aggrieved expression.
Meanwhile, over with Bronya and Seele…
"Move, Bronya!" Seele gritted her teeth, trying to break free from the chains, but Bronya lay on the ground like a dead fish.
"Huh? Oh!" Bronya snapped out of it, glanced at Seele's lips, then shyly turned her head. Mustering her strength, she flipped herself over.
Looking at Seele, whose face had turned visibly red, Bronya's lips curled into a smile. Shy Seele was indeed adorable.
"What are you doing?! Get off me!" Seele, flustered, stared at Bronya and mimicked her, flipping herself back over.
The two continued wrestling for dominance, gradually rolling farther away, leaving Dan Heng and March 7th speechless.
March 7th covered her eyes, her cheeks flushed. "Since when did their relationship progress to that level?"
Dan Heng, "..."
"March, the lilies in your hometown are blooming again." Stelle suddenly hugged March 7th from behind, clasping her hands and pinning her against the wall. She leaned in slowly, gazing at March 7th with intense affection.
"Stelle… you… what are you doing?!" March 7th, blushing fiercely, turned into a metaphorical steam engine, overwhelmed by the stern yet handsome Stelle. Could Stelle also like girls?
Now that she looked closely, Stelle's serious demeanor was incredibly cool and manly.
Dan Heng, noticing the pink bubbles floating around, quietly retreated to a secluded corner and contacted Himeko to report the situation.
"Dan Heng, how's everything on your end?"
"The rift in Jarilo-VI has stabilized. Have you already located the Stellaron?" Himeko's voice carried a hint of surprise.
"Yeah, but we didn't find the Stellaron ourselves…" Dan Heng gazed at the Stellaron in his hand and recounted the events to Himeko, including his conjectures.
"I see… Got it. I'll have Welt seal the Stellaron immediately," Himeko said after a moment of contemplation, nodding at Welt beside her.
"Also, how are Stelle and the others?" Himeko, noticing the absence of Stelle and March 7th in the conversation, asked out of curiosity.
"…Fine." Dan Heng glanced at Stelle and March 7th, forced out a reply, and ended the communication.
Himeko stared at the disconnected call, puzzled. Why did she sense helplessness in Dan Heng's tone?
Welt approached Himeko, gazing at the scenery outside. "Have they resolved it? I'll head down, then."
Himeko sipped her coffee. "Be careful."
…
"Woohoo!" Fu Shi burst out of the elevator, raising her hands and cheering.
"Hooray…?" Fu Lin mimicked Fu Shi's gesture to celebrate but awkwardly lowered his arms when he noticed everyone staring.
"Lady Herrscher of Sentience, Lord Fu Lin." Cocolia looked at the two emerging figures. The masks on their faces concealed their expressions, but there was an inexplicable aura that allowed Cocolia to recognize them.
"Hmm? What is it?" Fu Shi removed her mask, crossed her arms, and looked at Cocolia.
"Well… Lady Herrscher of Sentience, I… my daughter, Bronya—how is she doing now?" Biting her lip, Cocolia hesitated before asking, her inner conflict evident as she faced Fu Shi and Fu Lin, who had just come from the underworld.
"She's doing fine. She's made plenty of new friends," Fu Shi replied, noticing Cocolia's troubled expression and assuming it was something serious. But it turned out to be just this?
"That's good…" Cocolia sighed in relief.
"Lady Cocolia, are you sure about this? The people of Belobog still need you," Gepard said, attempting to persuade her, but Cocolia interrupted him.
"That's enough, Gepard. This is what I deserve. I'll publicly admit my mistakes."
"Besides, I trust that under Bronya's leadership, Belobog will have a brighter future. As for me…" Cocolia shook her head, declining further involvement. She no longer felt fit to govern Belobog.
"But…" Gepard hesitated, looking toward Fu Shi and Fu Lin, who were merely watching the scene unfold. They seemed like the only ones who could change Cocolia's mind.
