Chapter 4: Want me to wear women's clothes? Unless it smells really good!
Lunelle, whose appearance at this point had already surpassed the ordinary level and could even be called a pleasing-looking guy, suddenly fell into a strange silence, speechless for a moment.
Lunelle: "..."
This... isn't this wrong?
Is this really a guy's wardrobe?
Why are all the clothes in here women's outfits, damn it!?
And they're all Seele cosplay costumes of various styles that I secretly bought online anonymously!!!
"Systema, shouldn't you explain to me what's going on with this closet full of women's clothing?"
[Host, you are wrongly accusing me, Systema. This simulator is just a replication of one of the wardrobes you had before your time travel.]
Facing Lunelle's questioning, Systema, who usually lacked confidence when speaking, surprisingly stood firm this time.
And, as absurd as it seemed, Systema wasn't lying. The clothes in this wardrobe were indeed from Lunelle's old closet.
"There's no way I'm wearing women's clothing! I obviously have a closet full of men's clothes—why didn't you bring those over instead? I, Lunelle, would rather starve to death today, or jump from here! There is absolutely no way I would wear these women's clothes..."
However, Lunelle's resolve faltered as he argued with Systema.
His body felt unbearably sticky, the discomfort gnawing at his patience. Then, suddenly, a strange itch spread through his skin.
In that instant, the determined words—"It smells good"—got stuck in his throat, and he couldn't bring himself to say them with confidence.
Finally, Lunelle couldn't endure it anymore. Blushing furiously, he rummaged through the pile of Seele cosplay outfits and found a set that wasn't too frilly before running into the bathroom to shower, utterly ashamed.
Once he had scrubbed away all the grime and stepped out of the bathroom, a strange sense of refreshment washed over him. If he had to describe it, it felt like putting on a fresh pair of underwear for the new year!
But the moment he remembered that he was wearing Seele cosplay clothes, that refreshing feeling immediately turned into sheer embarrassment.
Why do these women's clothes feel so ridiculously comfortable to wear?
Of course, Lunelle had no idea that his talent had permanently altered his body. His skin, once rough and unkempt in his previous life, had become fairer and more delicate than a newborn's.
The stark contrast between his past and present self made the sensation of clean, soft fabric against his skin all the more pronounced. Naturally, this newfound comfort left Lunelle baffled.
But in his ignorance, he could only associate his strange reaction with the women's clothing he was now wearing.
Could it be that... I've awakened some peculiar taste?
"Impossible! If it weren't for that damned simulator's conspiracy, it wouldn't have left me without a single piece of men's clothing!
How could I, Lunelle, a seven-foot-tall man, wear women's clothes? This must be the simulator's fault!"
Lunelle convinced himself that this was all done out of necessity. Technically, if he rounded things off, didn't that mean he hadn't actually worn women's clothing at all?
Yes, that's right!
Wearing women's clothing? Impossible. It'll never happen in my lifetime!
After some highly effective self-hypnosis, Lunelle quickly erased the fact that he was still wearing them.
However, he failed to realize the truth behind an old saying—"Once you've worn women's clothing once, there will be countless times to follow."
"Systema? If I try to escape from Nagazora City right now, can I avoid the Honkai disaster that will break out in three days?"
Fresh out of the shower, Lunelle still vividly remembered the suffering he had endured during his first simulation. While he had indeed grown stronger, he was curious—if he left the high-risk area of Nagazora in advance, could he avoid the Honkai three days later? Would that buy him more time to prepare and grow stronger in safety?
[According to the simulator's calculations, Nagazora City is now completely under the control of Anti-Entropy forces led by Cocolia.]
[If the host attempts to leave the city at this time, there is an extremely high probability of being intercepted and interrogated by Anti-Entropy forces.]
Just as Lunelle thought of his escape plan, Systema immediately poured cold water over his hopes, shattering his optimism.
"Then what if I try to contact the Far East Branch of Schicksal? If I use Schicksal's power, can we prevent the Honkai from breaking out in advance?"
[According to the simulator's prediction, once the host does this, Anti-Entropy will immediately take notice. This could result in the host being assassinated before anything can be done.]
"Ah? That won't work either? Damn it, Cocolia really lives up to her reputation as the ultimate civil war champion. Useless in external battles, but when it comes to plans targeting humanity, her success rate is terrifyingly high!"
Lunelle was speechless upon hearing that Cocolia had gone so far as to monitor Nagazora's communication networks in real-time.
From what the simulator revealed, it was clear—this time, Cocolia was determined to ensure that the artificial Honkai outbreak in Nagazora proceeded without interference.
Not only had she stationed personnel to monitor and restrict movement, but anyone attempting to leave the city during this crucial period would immediately fall under suspicion.
All electronic communications within Nagazora City were being monitored in real time by Bronya, the top hacker and her daughter.
At this point, the plan to detonate the Honkai and induce the birth of the Herrscher had been completely exposed. The only way to transmit Cocolia's plan would be to break through the firewall Bronya had established—a nearly impossible task.
Anyone attempting such a thing would immediately be detected and eliminated by Bronya, whose skills as a hacker were terrifyingly precise.
"My goodness. You have so many tricks when it comes to internal affairs, but when dealing with external threats, why don't you, a civil war god, learn from me and pull off some big moves?"
Of course, Lunelle only dared to grumble in his heart. Even with his current enhanced physique of 3.4, it was still inferior to that of an average adult man.
If he had to face Cocolia directly, that ruthless Russian soldier, he'd be dead in minutes!
The entire area surrounding Nagazora City had already fallen under Anti-Entropy's control, forming an inescapable dragnet.
Right now, Lunelle had no choice but to figure out a way to survive the looming crisis in the next three days.
"I need to find a way through this. Systema? Can I still continue the simulation?"
Even though he knew there was no escape, the memory of dying before still sent chills down his spine. But compared to real death, when the time came to fight, Lunelle was not the type to sit around and wait for the inevitable!
[Each simulation places a heavy burden on the host's soul consciousness. For the sake of the host's safety, Systema does not recommend initiating a second simulation so soon, as it may cause soul collapse.]
"Huh? There's a restriction like that? Then how long do I have to wait before I can start the next simulation?"
[The simulator can gradually repair the host's damaged soul consciousness. Under normal conditions, the host will return to peak condition after resting for 12 hours. It is recommended to wait until tomorrow before attempting another simulation.]
"Agh… Well, I don't have a choice."
Hearing Systema's warning, Lunelle sighed in frustration but ultimately had to accept reality.
He had already suspected as much by the end of his first simulation. That kind of soul-wrenching pain… experiencing it multiple times in rapid succession would probably kill him outright.
But with such a limited time frame, this added restriction only made things worse. The pressure on him was suffocating.
Yet, the simulator was his only means of surviving the impending disaster. Lunelle wasn't reckless enough to ignore Systema's well-intended warning.
Realizing he wouldn't be able to run another simulation for the time being, Lunelle suddenly noticed he was feeling hungry.
Thankfully, the simulator was considerate this time—it had actually synchronized his beloved stash of instant noodles into the Honkai world.
It was like a strange conversion system: the instant noodles he used to hoard back in his world were replaced with an equivalent brand in this one.
Junk food or not, instant noodles were convenient, and that was all that mattered.
After quickly whipping up a bowl to fill his stomach, Lunelle obediently crawled back into bed and closed his eyes to rest.
As if on cue, the simulator kicked in to aid in his soul's recovery. The moment his eyes shut, he plunged into a deep sleep.
In what felt like an instant, twelve hours had passed.
Upon waking up, Lunelle immediately noticed that his body felt significantly stronger than before.
Laughing triumphantly, he clenched his fists. "Systema! After a full night's rest, I suddenly realized… this simulation thing is amazing!"
Simulations were meant to be enjoyed! What was there to fear? It was time to start another one!
[Command received. Initiating simulation!]
Without hesitation, Lunelle summoned the simulator and launched into his second attempt.
Perhaps due to the restful sleep, he felt much more optimistic this time, as if he had forgotten the pain of his previous failures.
But reality was often cruel.
The moment the simulation began, Lunelle once again found himself in a male body.
And just like last time, the moment he landed—
He was instantly surrounded by two terrifyingly powerful bosses.
A familiar scenario.
And then…
[You are dead!]
[Simulation rating: F]
[Simulation settlement: Host's tongue has been ripped out!]
Lunelle: "…ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
