Honkai: You're telling me this difficulty is from Honkai Impact 3?!

Chapter 76: Deep in the Alley...

In the early morning, the train quietly rested on the side of the Shanghai City platform.

There was no crowding of people waiting to board the train, nor any ticket announcements that sounded from time to time.

Shanghai City Train Station, a place that hadn't stopped for several decades in the past, had now maintained its silence forever.

"The zombies nearby have already been cleared." Kiana poked her head out of a second-floor window, flipped over, and landed in front of Shu and the others, stretching her limbs.

"Thank you for your hard work," Shu said politely, looking at Kiana, who had jumped out the window again.

Kiana's movements were really not that of a normal person... Shu suspected that Kiana had gained experience from climbing over walls at school.

"Huu..." Kiana let out a long sigh. "There were so many zombies nearby. It took me a lot of effort to lure them away!"

"So…" Kiana narrowed her eyes and looked at Mei.

"Okay, I'll make something delicious for you tonight…" Mei said with a smile. Mei was far too familiar with Kiana's little actions and expressions.

Shu rolled his eyes. Hopefully, they'll still have time to cook tonight.

"Let's go. Otto and the others have already left. We can't fall too far behind," Shu waved his hand, and took the lead towards the outside of the station.

Bronya closely followed behind Shu. Mei and Kiana smiled and followed along.

A new city. Shu stepped out of the station. The architectural style that was different from Nagazora City made his eyes light up.

Compared to Nagazora City, where all kinds of steel buildings and short houses were haphazardly arranged, the heights of the buildings in Shanghai City were more uniform and didn't have such big differences.

Shu took a deep breath, and couldn't help but feel that the air in Shanghai City was different. He couldn't even smell the scent of those zombies in the air!

Of course, he also couldn't smell that sea salt smell that Fu Hua had described. Maybe that was because they weren't close to the sea here.

"Otto's main goal is to search for medicine and some precious medical equipment. Our primary goal is all kinds of weapons and equipment." Shu and the others walked onto the main street. As they walked, Shu repeated their goals to the others.

"If we find a large amount of food or some hospitals and clinics, we can also get some medicine. We'll look for weapons first. Then, we'll mark the locations of the convenience stores and hospitals and clinics, and we'll come back to transport them after we find weapons."

"Why don't we just transport the food we see back first?" Kiana asked in confusion.

"We are in good condition right now. We should take this opportunity to explore a larger area, and then transport the spoils we find back to the train," Bronya answered Kiana's question.

"Hmm… But wouldn't it be better to quickly transport these things back while we have energy and strength?" Kiana was still a little confused.

Now that they had the energy, they could quickly transport the supplies away and then explore again. The transport time would be faster, and the exploration time would be longer.

Wasn't that good?

If this were a game, then Kiana's idea would be good.

Because the first principle of a game was to "ensure a reasonable exchange of value." This, to a certain extent, allowed them to exchange "one life" for "more valuable resources."

But the possibility of "dying and just dying" didn't exist in real life. Life couldn't be priced.

Their first standard of action was to "achieve the most basic goal," and then seek more.

Finding weapons was their first goal. Apart from that, food and medicine weren't worth wasting time that they didn't know if was abundant or not.

Shu and Bronya explained things to Kiana in a back and forth manner. Although Kiana was still a little confused, she still understood what was truly important.

"Never mind, you guys should think about these things. I won't use my brain!" Okay, actually, Kiana was slacking off. She was slacking off very decisively.

Shu was speechless. He could only pull out a map with a dark face.

This map had been hand-drawn by Otto. Sometimes, you had to admire Otto. Even though he had only been to Shanghai City twice, he was still able to hand-draw a map.

Shu was dumbfounded by what he saw. Fu Hua was even more shocked.

She had lived here for over a decade, but she still couldn't do it!

Kiana looked at a cake shop on the side of the road, silently swallowing a mouthful of saliva, then forced herself to turn her gaze away.

Focus on the big picture, focus on the big picture…

The map marked several locations that Otto and Fu Hua had marked from their memories as places that might have weapons.

Red crosses were marked by Otto, and red circles were marked by Fu Hua. They had even kindly written the words "police station" next to one of them.

That's right, Shanghai City was under Chinese jurisdiction. The only places in the city where they could find firearms were probably the police station or an armed police base.

So what the heck were those places that Otto had listed?

These red crosses were either marked in a corner of a shopping mall or in some alley... Were there really weapons in those places, instead of zombies?

"Never mind, let's take a look at least," Shu sighed, and then led everyone toward the closest red cross.

Otto wouldn't trick him in this kind of place… right?

"Shu." At the entrance of that marked alley, the group stopped. Mei, looking at the deep alley with worry, couldn't help but speak. "Is there really going to be a weapon that we need here?"

"...It's never wrong to be careful…" Shu was, of course, uncertain in his heart. If they didn't find any weapons or if something attacked them, then Shu thought that he should have a nice chat with Otto about what that "creaking" sound was.

Mustering his courage, Shu was the first to walk into the alley.

After taking two turns, Shu finally saw a rusty iron gate blocking the alley. Behind the gate, there was an open, dilapidated wooden door.

There are still wooden doors like this in this day and age?

Shu said to himself. He then tried to open the iron gate.

"It's locked." After shaking it, Shu shook his head. "Never mind. We can say that we've been here. Let's not waste any more time on this door..."

"Wait!" At this moment, Kiana spoke, looking serious.

Shu immediately became vigilant, but after a quick search, he couldn't find anything unusual. He could only look at Kiana with a confused expression.

He saw Kiana quickly walk to the iron gate. Holding onto the gate, her eyes flickered as she looked at the wooden door inside.

"Shu, don't you think this looks like that kind of place?" Kiana's voice was very low. It seemed that she was trying to create a serious atmosphere.

Shu twisted his head and thought. A deep alley, a wooden door that was open but had multiple layers of security… that kind of place…

Hmm?! Wait! What did Kiana realize?!
