Horizon before dawn

Tired but with a big smile i started moving to the cave, i had looted important machine parts, metal, food and my frist skill, i was very happy about the skill who would make hunting in the Mother's Embrace much easyer from now on.

Afeter a long journey home i finaly saw the cave, entering i saw that Albedo was puting more wood on the campfire and looked both tired and bored.

"Hey Albedo, got any luck gathering suplies today?"

"Of course, Im the best gatherer around, basket is full of berries and some fruits."

"Very good, them today we feast, tomorrow i will start your spear training you need to eat well to get stronger."

Puting my spear and bow on the side i gave her the meat to skin and cook and apologise for not bringing back a boar and took out the loot i had gathered today, when she saw what i brought back she was realy impressed and quickly forgot about the boar.

"You did all that? How? There must be four machine parts there?"

She told with her eyes full of wonder and excitment.

" Hehe. Told you i was good, this is nothing."

I proudly bang my hands on my chest and told her that i was going to craft the spear while she cooked and i wanted no distractions.

Recording the brave Nora hunters with my focus early on was a good ideia, afeter they took out the striders they craft some arrows while on site while i was recording the all thing, so now i just needed to study the video and make my own arrows and learn some new moves.

The spear was not that hard to make i already had a good chunk of metal from the watcher i took out, witch was also the best metal for the spear, striders dont have much metal to work on but have more wires and resources like blaze and synthetic fibers.

I grabed my old and worn out wood spear and started working on her like a Oseram forger, i used the wires from the striders and the metal from the watcher and tied everything with the synthetic fiber afeter making sure the balance was allright and it dident fall apart it just one strike, when i was happy with the result i went and made another one for Albedo who was just watching me doing all the work while cooking for us.

Them the arrows, afeter watching for a long time how the Nora did it i realized it was not that hard to craft simple arrows and made a new batch for tomorrows hunt, all i needed now was a new bow for both of us, happy with my crafting i turned to Albedo and told her seriusly.

" There you go, a proper Nora hunting spear, listen Albedo, this is now your best friend, you will sleep with her and care for her, this weapon will save your life some day."

She nooded her head and gladly took the spear and made a few moves testing the balance and height.

" Thank you Noir, for everything."

She wipe and few unshed tears and told me to sit near the fire while she was finishing preparing our dinner.

While eating in a confortable silence i was already thinking about tomorrow, i was going to teach her some spear moves in the morning and them send her to gather more suplies, now with a good spear she could try to hunt some fish while i was going to catch some watchers for more parts and maybe tomorrow was the day i finaly would meet TIM.

" Do you how to stitch? We have alot of leather now."

I was just watching the the skins getting tanned by the fire, there were alot of them but that was a skill i dident have, i still had the same outcast clothes when i left Mother's Heart.

" Not realy, i never did it before and i dont have needles, but i can try."

I could see she was a bit sad for not being more usefull so i tried to cheer her up a bit.

" Its ok i will make you something to craft, we still have some materials left and you did a good job today, dont look so sad"

She was just a kid and i was already exploring her as my personal maid, but when i told her she did a good job her smile was a genuine one.

"Now let's get some sleep, big day tomorrow and you need the rest, i will not go easy on you so be ready."

"Good, thats all i want, i will not disapoint my ancestors, i will do my best, night Noir."

' Poor girl Im going to beat you some much tomorrow'
