HP: Bad Intentions

Chapter 374: Well, there might be one way...

"Help...need...us?"

Xiaocai's voice, though faint and intermittent, reached Blake's ears clearly.

Blake nodded slightly, understanding its meaning. It was asking again if he needed their help.

"No need, Xiaocai," Blake replied, his tone calm and reassuring. "Let your little brothers hide. Try not to go out. I'll help you gather more troops!"

Just then, the Acromantula army approached, their massive legs creating a resonant rhythm against the Seraphim Shield, which emitted bursts of deep, vibrating sounds.

Blake remained unshaken.

Even though the expanded Seraphim Shield sacrificed some of its defensive power, it was still far too strong for the Acromantulas to breach.

Golden light flashed in Blake's eyes. The Eyes of Truth had opened.

Scanning the swarm outside, Blake's eyes caught the glow of a distinctive Acromantula emitting a stronger, purple-hued light amidst the rest. It wasn't ordinary, clearly possessing superior capabilities.

Blake crossed his arms in a precise motion and then unfolded them, activating the supreme spell—the Form of Ikeon.

Countless clones of Blake materialized in the air, identical in appearance yet fully physical. This was no illusion. Each clone was as tangible and formidable as the original.

The clones moved swiftly, locking onto individual Acromantulas. With a synchronized motion, they summoned Cytorak's Crimson Chains, each chain latching onto a targeted spider.

These weren't just any Acromantulas. Blake had used the Eyes of Truth to identify those with the best potential—ones with strong magical abilities or unusual traits.

The clones acted methodically, using Druid magic to tame the captured spiders.

Drawing on the power of Emperor Weishan, the clones overcame the limitations of Blake's personal energy reserves.

Within seconds, the newly tamed Acromantulas were dragged into the safety of the Seraphim Shield. The chains then extended again, seeking new targets among the enemy forces.

By the time the opposing army of Acromantulas reached the battlefield, more than half of their forces had already been turned against them.

Blake smiled faintly. "Alright, Xiaocai, let's begin."

At his signal, the clones vanished. Xiaocai, understanding the command perfectly, rallied the newly tamed Acromantulas.

Now, with superior numbers and stronger forces, the tide of battle shifted dramatically. Blake withdrew the Seraphim Shield.

"Acromantula! Never be a slave!" Xiaocai's voice boomed. "To end Aragog's tyranny—charge!"

It led the charge, its followers surging forward with unstoppable momentum.

Blake watched the chaos unfold with quiet satisfaction. Acromantulas, a species known for their intelligence and rigid hierarchy, were now turning against their old leader.

The battle quickly devolved into a massacre, with Xiaocai's forces dominating. Blake knew his role was over. Opening a dimensional door, he stepped through and vanished.

Later, in Dumbledore's office, Hagrid burst in, panting heavily.

"Professor! There's been a huge commotion in the Forbidden Forest!"

Dumbledore set down his quill, curiosity piqued. "What sort of commotion, Hagrid?"

"It's the Acromantulas, Professor. They're fighting—a big one this time!"

"Acromantulas?" Dumbledore raised an eyebrow. "Aragog's descendants, I assume? What happened?"

Hagrid scratched his beard, looking troubled. "Well... it's strange, really. I spoke to Aragog about it. He said there's this young, strong Acromantula causing trouble—a colorful one, like some sort of mutant. But Aragog swears it's not one of his."

"A mutant Acromantula?" Dumbledore mused, stroking his long beard. "And this spider is challenging Aragog's authority?"

Hagrid nodded solemnly. "Yes, Professor. They've fought several times, but the last one was the biggest yet. I tried talkin' to them—asked them to live peacefully. But neither Aragog nor that colourful one would listen. Both are set on fighting to the death."

Dumbledore sighed, his expression thoughtful. "A peculiar situation, indeed. A mutated Acromantula appearing out of nowhere... troubling."

"Professor," Hagrid hesitated, "Aragog's not doin' too well. He's old—blind in all eight eyes. He doesn't stand a chance against that mutant."

"You want me to help Aragog?" Dumbledore's sharp gaze met Hagrid's.

Hagrid nodded earnestly. "I know it's a lot to ask, Professor, but Aragog's been a friend to me..."

Dumbledore shook his head gently. "I understand your feelings, Hagrid. But this is a conflict within their species. If we interfere, it could provoke the mutant Acromantula to retaliate against the school. That would endanger the students."

Hagrid's shoulders slumped. "I know, Professor. It's just... I can't stand by and do nothing."

Dumbledore placed a comforting hand on Hagrid's shoulder. "I'm sorry, Hagrid. But perhaps... you could ask Blake for help?"

"Blake?" Hagrid's face lit up with hope.

"Yes," Dumbledore replied. "If anyone can mediate between the Acromantulas, it's Blake. He has a unique way with magical creatures."

Excited by the suggestion, Hagrid rushed to find Blake after Herbology class.

Blake listened patiently as Hagrid recounted the situation.

"You want me to stop the fighting?" Blake asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, Blake! You've got a gift with magical creatures. I'm sure you can convince them to stop."

Blake's expression turned serious. "Hagrid, why are you so determined to help Aragog?"

"Because he's my friend," Hagrid said earnestly. "Just like your magical creatures are your friends."

Blake shook his head. "That's where you're wrong, Hagrid. My creatures are under my absolute control. They don't act against my will. Can you say the same for Aragog?"

Hagrid hesitated, realizing he couldn't. Aragog had spared him out of gratitude but never obeyed him completely.

"Let me remind you," Blake continued, "Aragog didn't stop his children from attacking Harry and Ron back then. He's not your ally, Hagrid. He's just a creature grateful for a past kindness."

Hagrid looked away, his expression conflicted.

Blake sighed. "Look, Hagrid. This war serves a purpose. Acromantulas reproduce and grow too quickly. If left unchecked, they'd overrun the Forbidden Forest in no time. This conflict reduces their numbers and strengthens the survivors—ones I can control."

"But Aragog..." Hagrid began, his voice weak.

"Aragog's time is over, Hagrid," Blake said firmly. "If you want peace, let the new leader emerge. Otherwise, the chaos will only grow worse."

Hagrid looked crushed. "Is there really nothin' we can do?"

Blake smirked slightly. "Well, there might be one way..."
