HP X LOTM : Please Call Me Mr. Error.

Chapter 453: Tarot Club : Financing.

Loki's smiled when he heard a soft *buzz*.

"It's midnight already?"

'There should be nothing of importance in today's Tarot Club meeting so it'll probably be a short one.'

Loki teleported to his room in the Slytherin dormitory dungeons and quickly entered the Sefirah Castle where he readied himself and sat down in his chair before summoning everyone else.

Hermione stood up first as always and greeted Mr. Error first before greeting everyone else.

But the first one to speak, though, was surprisingly Sirius.

"My lord.", Sirius said, standing up politely with a bow.

'My lord?'

'Is Sirius drunk again?'

Loki nodded subtly to indicate that he was listening, after which Sirius continued.

"Mr Lord, I have a request for Mr. World…and you."

Loki's brows rose.

'A request for me? What's that about?'

Everyone else was almost equally shocked, but having gotten used to being shocked from the last year, they all hid their expressions well.

Even Hermione looked relatively steady, even though Loki could see just how excited she had become to learn about the 'unknown' immediately.

Loki didn't speak, he just nodded to indicate that Sirius could speak and that he was still listening as long as there were no lines crossed.

Sirius looked at Mr. Error with a little relaxation before he tensed up again and then spoke in a firm tone, like a soldier or an excited intern reporting an idea to their superior.

"Mr. Error, I have just joined another famous gathering in the Wizarding World…" Sirius paused to gauge Loki's reaction and once he saw him looking at him with patience he breathed a mental *sigh* of relief before completing his words.

"...and I hope to spread your magic in this gathering…"

Everyone frowned since Sirius didn't really need to ask for permission in this regard, especially when Loki as Mr. World had specifically asked them to choose such a route, but it was Sirius's next words that shocked everyone a little more.

"...in doing so I realised that a more efficient method for me to spread your faith would be to set up a gathering of my own! One that is dedicated simply to you and your followers!"

Everyone's eyes simultaneously widened, especially Loki's since he was thinking something else entirely-

'This! Does he want to set up a pyramid scheme or something!?'

'I remember Walburga complaining about Sirius starting up some new secretive scheme!'

'No that isn't the important part!'

'This! If Sirius does this- it would mean that this would be a gathering set up by the Black Family! Personally!'

'This would be a great help to me!'

'I knew it, Sirius! I knew you had a reason to choose the Start card!'

'I definitely trusted you! I promise!'

"I hoped to ask your permission for this mission." Sirius ended with a polite bow, waiting for Loki's response.

Loki calmed himself down and pretended to think about a few matters before wrapping his hands around the edge of the table.

"Alright. You can do so."

Mr. World also chimed in after that-

"Let me know if you need anything relating to the Lord. You don't need to disturb 'Him' for the small things." 'Even though it'll just be me answering about myself.'

With the matter done, silence returned to the Sefirah Castle before Hermione raised a question.

"Does anyone have materials like the entire brain of a Specter Crab and the skin of an ancient wraith?"

Snape stayed silent for a bit, comprehending why Hermione would need such ridiculous materials before Sirius interrupted his thoughts by speaking.

"I have the entire brain of a Specter Crab. The skin of an ancient wraith, though, would be hard to get. Especially since wraiths are either dead or dark wizards that are going to be dead because the ministry caught a whiff of their location."

"Why are they considered dark wizards?" Hermione asked a little confused, and Sirius explained for free.

"There are two ways to become a wraith, one is by using a Beyonder Potion from the Prisoner Pathway, while the other is because you have unfinished business and resent something very deeply. Both of whom are generally really harmful to humans."

"Why would a Beyonder that is a wraith be harmful to humans than any other Beyonder?" Hermione asked with some confusion since she remembered Professor Lupin was a pretty relaxed person and he was from the Prisoner Pathway, a werewolf.

"Because the prisoner pathway mostly involves deeply investing in your desires. I don't know a single person in this pathway that has become a wraith and stayed alive to tell the tale because they lose themselves to madness pretty soon."

Hermione fell silent but that was only until Loki made Mr. World to speak up to distract from the topic of madness since the madness was likely the influence of Mother Tree of Desire on the Chained pathway through the Chained God.

"How much skin do you want?" Loki asked even though he knew exactly how much Hermione needed just to make her think that her conversation with Loki and her identity as Miss Magician were really a secret that no one else knew about.

Since he had given the Information about the next potion materials to Hermione through a vision from Mr. Error. He had done this since he didn't want to keep making her potions himself.

But Hermione took Loki's words the wrong way. Not just her but most people.

'How much!!? Why is he speaking like he has an ancient wraith just trapped in his basement waiting to be skinned alive?!' Hermione exclaimed in panic and her reaction wasn't that far off from the others too.

Snape frowned while Sirius and Fleur shivered a little at the implied meaning. It was reinforced once again into the people of the Tarot Club that Mr. World wasn't a normal person.

Especially Dominic who had idolised him as the apex shining knight of justice who fought against the madness that lingered in the dark.

Hermione finally gathered her wits and spoke calmly, "I would need about ten grams."

"That's all?" Mr. World asked, he genuinely sounded disappointed since Loki hoped that Hermione would purchase more of it in case she made a mistake brewing the potion.

'That's all!? What am I going to do with more? Make a fabric out of it!? Why does he sound like it's a waste of his time?! Does he deal in a black market of Wraith's skins in bulk or something?!'

"That's all." Hermione nodded firmly.

Mr. World then simply nodded as he explained, "You can pay me thirty-five galleons for it."

"Thirty-five galleons?!" Hermione almost exclaimed but managed to tone herself down when she remembered she was sitting next to a god.

Mr. World nodded softly as Hermione was forced to decide if she'd pay so much or not.

'I only have about three hundred galleons saved from working at Hogwarts Honest Mill!'

'Hmph! Loki doesn't pay me well at all!'

'Shouldn't he give us a pay raise depending on how well we do and have been doing!!?'

Albeit reluctantly, Hermione finally nodded her head in agreement before Mr. World accepted the trade.

Loki did read Hermione's thoughts and it suddenly shocked him.

'This!'

'Am I becoming like Dumbledore!?'

'Not paying my employees well!?'

'....is this the curse of becoming the leader of a secret organisation!?'

'....I should do something about this!'

And so even though Hermione nodded her head in agreement, Mr. World spoke again.

"Actually…why don't we finance it? You can pay me six galleons every month for five months."

Hermione's eyes widened as she quickly pulled on tighter shields around her Body of Heart and Mind. She hadn't felt anyone read her mind and calmed down as she attributed it to being the keen insight of Mr. World since he was an Angel, but even if it happened, she accepted it as her own mistake and simply nodded, albeit reluctantly and with a little anger.

It caused Loki to laugh a little but he didn't say anything else.
