Chapter 460: Chapter 461: The War Game Begins!
"Ha! Just because he defeated lv5, do you think I'd be afraid of this?"
Apollo declared proudly, his voice full of arrogance.
Hestia, standing nearby, was momentarily stunned. When did Apollo become so inflated with pride? she thought to herself.
At that moment, Ganesha stepped forward. As a neutral party, he had been appointed to supervise the event and was now fulfilling his role.
"Alright, let's get started," Ganesha announced.
He then turned his gaze skyward and spoke, "Uranus, please allow me to use my divine power."
In response, a deep voice echoed from the heavens, "Granted."
With permission given, Ganesha acted immediately. A wave of his hand conjured a glowing halo that appeared in all the public spaces of Orario. Within this radiant halo, the entirety of Apollo's estate was projected for everyone to see.
This was mirror projection magic, a skill often used for surveillance. Thankfully, the divine powers of the gods had been sealed; otherwise, in the hands of rogue deities, this magic could have thrown the world into chaos.
"Now, I officially declare the confrontation between the Apollo Familia and the Hestia Familia to have begun!"
As soon as the announcement was made, the Apollo Familia sprang into action. Dozens of figures moved simultaneously, their forces organizing into three inner and three outer layers, forming an impenetrable defensive line.
In the magical projection, the overwhelming numbers of the Apollo Familia made many onlookers break into a cold sweat for Alexander.
"Do you see that? The Apollo Familia has mobilized their entire army—hundreds of people!"
"Yeah, I see it! There are so many of them! Even a level 4 would be crushed under that many attackers. How is the Hestia Familia supposed to fight this?"
"I heard the Hestia Familia has a few members. Maybe a dozen or so? If they're all level 3s, they might have a chance."
"Pfft, dreaming much? Do you think level 3s grow on trees?"
The majority of the crowd doubted Alexander and his allies' chances, though a small number still held hope for their strength. However, that hope quickly faded when...
As the Apollo Familia completed their preparations, a solitary figure emerged in the sky. That's right—just one person had arrived from Hestia Familia!
"Huh? Where are the others?"
"There's no one else. Is the Hestia Familia really sending only one person?"
"This… are they surrendering already? This has to be a joke."
"Wait a second. Maybe that's a level 6 adventurer?"
"Level 6? Are you dreaming!? We'd all know if there were a level 6 around. Even the level 5s are a rarity, let alone a level 6. This is ridiculous."
Most onlookers thought Alexander was walking into certain death. But was Alexander truly seeking death? Absolutely not.
Meanwhile, within Apollo Familia's base, Luan noticed Alexander's lone figure approaching. Startled, he quickly rallied the others.
"Oh? You've come here alone? Just by yourself?" Luan sneered, his excitement growing. "A lone man walking to his death? Perfect! My chance for revenge has arrived! Everyone, attack! Kill him!"
With Luan's rallying cry, more than two hundred level 1 adventurers charged forward with wild fervor.
Alexander, however, remained calm. As the crowd rushed toward him, he waved his hand. A cold wind began to rise, and above him, icy clouds formed, casting shadows over the once-bright sky. Snowflakes started to fall, their icy blue glow illuminating the scene.
The sudden snowfall caught everyone off guard.
"What's going on? Why is it snowing?"
"Who cares why it's snowing?! Keep attacking! We'll finish him off no matter what!"
Ignoring the phenomenon, the group surged forward, closing in on Alexander.
Both the audience and the Apollo Familia seemed certain that Alexander was moments away from being torn apart. Some timid spectators even turned away, unable to bear what they thought would be a gruesome sight.
But what they imagined would happen… never came to pass.
"Ice Haze, Freezing Wind."
Alexander's cold, commanding voice echoed across the battlefield.
In an instant, the snowflakes turned into a blizzard, and the fierce winds howled. The adventurers, caught in the storm, froze—literally. Their bodies became immobile, unable to move an inch.
And with that, the scene took an entirely unexpected turn.
