I Am Hades, Lord of the Underworld!

Chapter 251: Chapter 251: A New Lord of the Underworld? Completing the Sky, Earth, and Sea?!

The Pure Land of Bliss fell into a long silence.

It was Hades who finally spoke again. His calm words caused Ethel, a wise and cultured god, to reveal an expression of utter disbelief. His entire being was shocked, and he stared wide-eyed.

"Lord Hades..."

"Ethel, what do you think about handing over the position of Lord of the Underworld to someone else?"

Hades' words were like a hammer striking Ethel's head. At that moment, Ethel's mind buzzed, unable to fully comprehend what Lord Hades meant.

At the same time, the entire Pure Land of Bliss seemed to fall into silence. This beautiful place, which always echoed with the melodious songs of angels, suddenly became utterly quiet, with everything disappearing without a trace.

Hades' expression remained calm and indifferent, as if nothing had changed, as he quietly looked at Ethel.

"This..."

"This..."

For a moment, Ethel was extremely flustered. However, he quickly calmed down, stabilizing his mind and considering Lord Hades' intentions.

After a brief pause, Ethel shook his head after careful consideration and said, "Lord Hades, I'm afraid that would be impossible. No one can take over the position of Lord of the Underworld. The most crucial point is that I believe no one would recognize a new Lord of the Underworld. This is an immutable fact."

"Alright."

Hades quietly uttered a single word.

Ethel continued to ponder deeply, while Hades remained unhurried. In fact, Hades had been contemplating this idea ever since Ethel became the Lord of the Astral Realm.

The World Tree! If it could be nurtured from the bottom up, and if such an upward growth was possible, then the Underworld would need to be completed as well.

The current Underworld is divided into two situations.

The World Tree continues to nurture, progressing from the initial sky and earth, then the Pillars of Heaven, and now the elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, gradually moving into a new stage. Once the elements are fully nurtured, the next stage will be the creation of the Five Realms: Heaven, Earth, Sea, Underworld, and Stars.

The creation of these Five Realms is the next step, an inevitable result of the World Tree's growth.

However, the situation in the Underworld is vastly different from the worlds usually nurtured by the World Tree. Hades used the World Tree as the core to create the Underworld, forging a unique blend of the World Tree and the Divine Realm, making it extraordinarily special.

And this cannot be changed, much like how Chaos is the Absolute God of the Greek pantheon, while Saturn holds the same title in the Roman pantheon.

In some sense, the Greek and Roman pantheons are almost equivalent, largely because of the close relationship between Chaos and Saturn. When creating the mythological great worlds, they nearly mirrored each other.

But in essence, the two mythological great worlds are different. One originates from chaos, and the other from time. Both possess all the necessary elements, yet their natures are distinct.

As for Saturn being regarded as the embodiment of some super god?

That's more of a joke. That super god, such an existence, is beyond comparison to Saturn, who is said to control all time and space, all dimensions. Perhaps Saturn inherited a trace of that super god's legacy, but as for embodiment?

Come on! That's utterly unrealistic. Saturn is just an Absolute God and bears no comparison to that super god.

The same applies to Hades. The transformation of the Underworld World Tree will eventually lead to the birth of a World Tree centered around the Underworld. Although it will encompass everything, its essence will remain that of the Underworld King! Chaos, Time, and the Underworld King.

The essence of each mythological great world lies in its foundation, which is immutable, each stemming from an Absolute God.

Hades cannot allow the development direction of his World Tree to deviate.

Now!

With Ethel advancing to become the Lord of the Astral Realm, the Underworld has ushered in an upward transformation, indicating that the World Tree can also rise from the bottom. This is extremely important.

Hades is contemplating whether giving up his position as Lord of the Underworld could lead to the emergence of a second Ethel. If that were to happen, what would the outcome be? These are all matters that need careful consideration.

"Lord Hades," Ethel spoke at this moment, "I believe that the position of Lord of the Underworld cannot be relinquished. I understand your thoughts, but the heavens, earth, sea, and stars can all be managed, yet the Underworld..."

"This matter," Hades said quietly, "will be put aside for now."

"Understood!"

Seeing that Lord Hades had temporarily abandoned this idea, Ethel slightly bowed, finally breathing a sigh of relief.

Ethel understood Lord Hades' intention—to relinquish his position as Lord of the Underworld and become a purely Underworld King, the master of the Underworld World Tree. Of course, he is already the master now.

However, the situation is akin to someone holding two positions. Hades is both mayor and county chief. Hades' current thought is to hand over the position of county chief to someone else, while Ethel is the newly promoted county chief.

But!

The biggest problem is that this "county" is the capital! That's where the issue arises. No one can take over the position of "capital's county chief"! But in Hades' hands, this position indeed holds little significance.

Ethel's attempt to persuade Lord Hades is understandable. No Underworld god can take over.

The most critical point is that with the emergence of Contract Hell, Cosmic Hell, and other special hells, the Underworld is becoming more terrifying and complete. It's no longer a matter of whether someone is qualified to inherit it.

The seventy-two Demon Pillars also stand tall in the Underworld, acting as the Pillars of Heaven!

Who would dare to take it besides Lord Hades? The current situation is that no one can take over the position, not because of a lack of strength, but because no one could ever gain the same recognition as Lord Hades.

"Ethel," Hades spoke calmly once more.

"Lord Hades!" Ethel responded, "What are your orders?"

Hades said calmly, "The validation from the bottom to the top has been completed. The matter of the Underworld will be set aside for now. The Astral Realm has already entered the right track. The heavens, earth, and sea also need to be completed. I am entrusting this task to you."

Hades quietly issued the command to complete the heavens, earth, and sea.
