Chapter 1: Angewomon’s Journey Through Worlds
The sky was clear, and a gentle breeze swept through the land.
Deep within a forest, a glowing light suddenly appeared, and from it stepped out a figure.
It was a tall woman with long golden hair that cascaded down to her waist.
Her figure was slender yet curvaceous, and her attire was rather revealing—tight-fitting white garments adorned with a few black leather straps.
The strangest thing about her, however, was the metal mask covering the upper half of her face, concealing her eyes.
Even more bizarrely, behind her were eight snow-white wings, drooping slightly. From a distance, they almost looked like a flowing white cape.
She was unmistakably an angel.
To be precise, she was an angel-type Digimon from the Digimon series—Angewomon.
However, this wasn't the Digital World. So why was an Angewomon here?
The reason was simple—she was a transmigrator.
Or rather, the soul of a transmigrator had fused with the body of this Angewomon.
"Phew, that was close… I almost died!"
Angewomon—now Moss—patted her ample chest, sighing in relief.
Though she was now an Angewomon, she wasn't the one from Digimon Adventure who fought alongside the main characters. No, she was just a background character from Digimon Savers (Data Squad).
In that story, the villain Kurata had captured numerous Digimon as experimental subjects. His ultimate goal was to revive one of the Seven Great Demon Lords, Belphemon, by sacrificing Digimon as energy sources.
If events had gone as they were supposed to, her fate would have been to be broken down into pure data and fed to Belphemon.
Luckily, she had a golden finger—a cheat-like ability granted by her transmigration—which allowed her to escape before she could be used as a sacrificial offering.
The good news? She was safe.
The bad news? Only for now.
[Name: Moss][Species: Digimon – Ultimate Level – Free Type – Angel Type – Angewomon][Skills: Holy Arrow, Heaven's Charge, Healing Light, Digital Soul][Evolution Path: Conditions Not Met, Path Unknown][World Transfer Countdown: 30 Days]
Moss glanced at the simple system panel before her.
"This thing is pretty basic," she muttered.
From the last line, it was clear that she had 30 days before she was forced to return to her previous world.
That meant she had just one month to gain enough power to survive.
Her gaze fell on the species category. "Wait, why does it say 'Free Type, Angel Type'? Shouldn't I be 'Vaccine Type, Archangel Type'?"
Fully evolved Angewomon were supposed to be Vaccine Type, Archangel Type.
Yet she wasn't.
"…Is it because I'm a transmigrator that I turned into a Free Type? Or is it because I fused with a background character Angewomon that I didn't even qualify as an Archangel?"
Damn it, just because she was a side character didn't mean she wasn't important!
Moss let out a long sigh and absentmindedly placed a hand on her chest.
Huh…
Soft.
An odd yet strangely comfortable sensation spread through her mind as she pressed down.
"Damn, I might be a Digimon, but this body is still undeniably female."
The physiology of Digimon was truly fascinating.
She pursed her lips. Before transmigrating, she hadn't even been this gender. But now? Well… it was too late to change anything.
She had fully transformed.
She was free now—no mortgages, no expectations, no obligations! She could live however she wanted!
Ah, what a wonderful feeling!
Still, as she absentmindedly ran a hand lower, she couldn't help but feel a slight pang of melancholy.
Huh?
Hey, wait—keep going!
Nothing is true, everything is permitted!
"Ahhh!"
Suddenly, a scream rang out nearby.
"Hm?"
Moss turned toward the source of the noise and saw a young girl around ten years old, her hair short and snow-white.
"What's wrong, Lisanna?"
Another voice followed as an older girl with long white hair approached. She bore a striking resemblance to the younger one and was dressed in a black cloak.
Her gaze flickered toward Moss, then trailed down to where her hand had been just moments before.
The girl fell silent for a second. Then, she immediately turned around and yelled:
"Elfman, don't come over here!"
Behind them stood a tall, white-haired boy, frozen mid-step.
"…They look familiar."
Moss's mind clicked into place.
She withdrew her hand and took a step toward them. "Hey, can you understand me?"
The long-haired girl instantly shrieked:
"Stay away, you pervert!"
Ah, so they could understand her perfectly.
Moss frowned. "Hey now, don't go throwing around accusations without proof! What did I do to deserve that label?"
The girl's face turned red as she snapped back:
"You were just… just… doing that, in broad daylight! How is that not perverted?!"
That?
Moss realized what she meant and chuckled in amusement.
Ah. So they'd seen her self-exploration session.
Okay, fair enough. That did look pretty bad.
"You shouldn't judge things based on surface appearances, kids. The truth is often more complex than it seems."
Moss's voice was clear, gentle, and reassuring, like a saint trying to guide lost souls.
The younger girl, Lisanna, hesitated and said, "Maybe we misunderstood? She might have a reason for her actions…"
Her older sister, however, remained skeptical. "Let's go."
Without another word, she took Lisanna's hand and turned away.
Lisanna smiled apologetically at Moss, then followed her sister. Elfman silently trailed behind them.
It was clear now—the long-haired girl was the leader among them.
"Wait a second," Moss called out.
The older girl turned back, her expression icy.
"I'm Moss," she said directly. "What about you? I'd like to get to know you."
If she wanted to understand this world, these three were a perfect starting point.
"I…"
Lisanna was about to respond—
"Lisanna!"
Her sister cut her off immediately.
Lisanna clamped her mouth shut.
"We don't want to know you."
With that, the trio disappeared into the forest.
"…I see."
Moss sighed. She had at least learned two names—Lisanna and Elfman.
She also learned that high heels sucked.
Flying would be easier.
As she spread her eight wings, Moss took off into the sky.
Elsewhere, deep in the forest…
A massive green-furred beast leapt out of the trees, blocking the path of the three siblings.
"A monkey?" Lisanna gasped.
The creature snarled and spoke in human tongue:
"I am not a monkey! I am the mighty Glion, the Iron Cannon of the Forest!"
Lisanna and Elfman trembled.
Their sister, however, stepped forward, her arm morphing into a demonic claw.
"If you two get the chance—run!"
Glion grinned wickedly and lunged—
But before his attack could land, a holy arrow shot down from the sky, striking the earth before him.
BOOM!
A radiant explosion sent the monster reeling.
As the dust settled, a golden-haired figure descended from the heavens, wings aglow.
A divine presence, untouchable and pure.
Angewomon had arrived.
