Chapter 56 - Teio the Tree



After forming a dead zone (inaccessible area) by spraying nano-virus on the outskirt villages, I officially began the Orc extermination operation.
As the commander of the monsters to be deployed for extermination, I entrusted command authority to Seri and appointed one Royal Guard as an assistant and staff officer, and as a monster to serve as a non-commissioned officer (intermediate commander) role—I finally deployed the completed Dragonian.

This monster, newly created by the rebirth of Lizardmen by my hand, is a medium to large-sized humanoid/sub-dragon monster about 3 meters tall.
As mentioned earlier, its height is about 3 meters, and its body is close to a bipedal dragon strengthened by numerous body enhancement characteristics and dragon species genes.
It has membrane wings like those of a dragon on its back, and a bio flame thrower installed in its mouth that, although slightly weaker in power, can be used like a breath attack.
In addition, this monster grows to grade 7 within about 10 days of birth, to grade 6 medium-grade in about a month, and can even reach grade 5 as it ages without extra effort.
Of course, there’s a problem that characteristics and skills are mostly monotonous due to specialization in basic ability enhancement, but this isn’t a big issue since these creatures have individual selves and even if they die, their souls are recovered by me and revived with new bodies.
After all, skills are close to special abilities acquired mentally, and if characteristics are really needed, part of my intelligence separated for Lizardman management can customize them appropriately.

Anyway. I started the Orc extermination only after making these completed Dragonians intermediate commanders, and this wasn’t a difficult task.
Most Orc tribes sent all their combat forces to the army for the Lizardman subjugation, except for 1-2 medium-grade warriors to protect the tribe, and they were all annihilated.
Therefore, the actual force that Orcs of one tribe can use is at best a few grade 8 or lower Orcs who can barely fight plus one or two medium-grade warriors, which can be annihilated by just one extermination team platoon.

Well, actually it took 2 days for the complete annihilation and the remaining 1 day was spent dealing with the monsters in the kill zone, but it doesn’t matter.
Now I have to make this plain my territory as well.
For now, it should look to the human side as if the Lizardmen annihilated the Orcs by some method, so the plains need to become a jungle like the existing Lizardman territory.
Therefore, I was about to terraform the entire plain into a jungle starting from underground as usual, but suddenly an idea flashed through my mind.

An idea that secures plausibility for both events: Lizardmen suddenly becoming strong and pushing out the Orcs to expand their influence, and Theseus retreating for unknown reasons.
It was to secure a position like the leader of the Lizardmen by deploying an appropriate high-grade monster disguised as having occurred naturally in this jungle.

At first, it was an impulsive idea, but thinking carefully, this idea has numerous advantages.
As mentioned earlier, it can reduce human suspicion and can also pass on the complex and demanding position of Lizardman leader.
In addition, if created according to my plan, it could terraform this plain by itself, and above all, I needed a multi-purpose creation that I had been seriously considering making.

So to realize this idea as is, I concentrated the thinking resources allocated to various places into one place and quickly began designing a monster.
The monster to be used as a base is a monsterized plant that has been diligently supplying me with nutrients through photosynthesis, and first, I made the plant a complete monster by altering its foundation.
It would normally require tremendous trial and error as its structure is completely different from other monsters mostly based on animals, but… fortunately, I have the ability to handle plants and the knowledge of botany accumulated by humanity so far.
By fully operating the brains for computation and thought assistance buried somewhere underground and using information collected indiscriminately from the internet, the plant design was completed even faster than I expected.
And as a result, the plant monster in the blueprint is designed to be born as a seed and grow up to grade 1 with the energy I supply.
If this method is used, it would normally consume more resources and time than just creating a grade 1 monster, but because the monster I’m creating is a plant type, the resource consumption is less than usual.
Therefore, finally completing the blueprint, I inserted the blueprint of the plant to grow in the following form inside the seed using various methods.

Teio, the youngest of the Te family, is a plant-type monster that resembles the world tree from fantasy as you can see.
With psychic abilities far more powerful than Theseus, insane defense and HP, close combat stats that are average due to size correction, and skills that can produce medium to low-grade monsters in an instant.
Especially as Teio is a grade 1 nature-type psychic specialized monster, its psychic abilities are tremendous, able to manipulate the entire environment within about 20km of itself at will.
Although it seems too strong to be a regular monster rather than a boss, this is actually possible due to fitting penalties.
First, naturally, as Teio is a tree deeply rooted in the ground, it’s impossible to move from its spot. If it happens to be hit by an enemy’s volley fire, it might die helplessly.
In addition, Teio has consumed most of its body’s storage space for these overwhelming combat abilities and number of characteristics and skills, so its energy generation ability is lacking, and if it engages in battle at full power alone, it will self-destruct within 5 minutes.
Of course, in normal times it can barely survive with its own photosynthesis, but that’s the limit. To maximize the use of its various abilities, Teio needs vast amounts of energy beyond what it produces, and I plan to supplement that for now.
During normal times, energy will be supplied through dozens of pipes made in underground tunnels, but in emergencies, it will receive energy stored and produced from monsterized trees in the surrounding jungle, like a backup battery.
