I Can Assimilate Everything

Chapter 108: Kings of Old and Kings of New! III

Mayhem.

Chaos.

More often than not, many people only heard about such things from afar.

But they never truly experienced it themselves in all their lives!

On this day.

Inside a massive, metallic Colony Bunker stretching out underground and into the skies.

It was built with reinforced walls meant to withstand attacks of Evolutius Beasts, tons of reinforced steel mixed with thousands upon thousands of Evolutius Crystals being used for it.

It looked like a giant cylindrical metal building rising to the skies as it was surrounded by hundreds of Aerial Vessels and Warships protecting it.

Inside, there were 18 Floors within this Colony Bunker- these floors having a long mechanical pillar filled with banners and screens at the very center as everyone situated on a single floor could see what was happening outside of the Colony Bunker within the City of Neon.

A single floor could hold tens of thousands of people in vast isolated fields the size of stadiums as, ideally, a single Colony Bunker was built to hold at least 1 Million Humans and Advanced Humans.

In the case of any event where a large part of a Colony City was destroyed, this fortified location of a Bunker would save many lives!

This was the goal.

This was ideal.

And then, there was reality.

"AHHH!"

Dissonant screams echoed out on one floor of the Colony Bunker, and it started out low.

Scattered.

As more and more people heard the screams, they looked over as their faces turned ashen, and they scrambled to run away.

Because every time a scream erupted, it would be cut short right after as a multicolored worm would delve into the screaming person's mouth!

Somehow, in a matter of seconds, hundreds of worms were jumping from human to human as people who turned their heads unnaturally and got on their hands and knees like beasts appeared.

Their faces were unnaturally apathetic and filled with coldness as they jumped out, clutching the necks of other humans while they forcefully spat out worms from their mouths to infect others!

It was horrific, and it instantly caused chaos and stampedes to occur as everyone ran for their lives!

"Monsters! Monsters are in the Bunker!"

BOOM!

An upper floor trembled as an explosion occurred, bodies of humans falling from railings and crashing down below as they twitched in the air, their bodies pulsing with multicolored worms as their hands elongated to clutch the railings of other floors before they pounced on other humans as if they were the prey!

True mayhem ensued at this time as most floors of the Colony Bunker became affected.

Among those experiencing this horror.

There was a Body Modification Advanced Human with frost surging around her.

Lana.

She had recognized Achilles when he came out of his first Catacomb Entrance #55.

She had recognized him again when she saw him on the screens fighting Bixi.

At this moment, she had a terrified expression as around her, normal Humans were infected with worm like creatures as they now banged on the glacial walls she raised and broke them down easily.

Normal Infected Humans suddenly gained such power as they rivaled Body Modification Advanced Humans!

"No…No!"

Lana saw the blank stares of the Infected Humans and the worms coursing through their bodies as waves of terror coursed through her, her body curling down as she wrapped herself in ice walls.

"Please…."

Around her, streaks of blood flashed as Humand twitched as if they were dead, only to rise up and add to those who surrounded her.

"Please!"

She screamed out for someone.

For anyone to come and save her and the hundreds of thousands of others who were already inside the Colony Bunker!

And…

"STOP!"

She looked above with frozen tears spilling out of her eyes as there, near the top floor of the Colony Bunker, an Ethereal existence floated grandly.

A man wrapped in walls of floating bronze earth, massive earthen spears forming around him as a single illusory star shone above his head!

His expression was a horrible one as he looked around while not even knowing how to begin.

Tens of thousands of humans were already infected.

His powerful roar stopped them momentarily as it only served to announce his position, and out of the tens of thousands affected…

"SKEEEE!"

They all opened their mouths unnaturally wide as as from among them, over a hundred pulsed with Meridian Transformation as they shot towards him in the peak of the open space like a wave of maddened zombie creatures!

The Ethereal Physiology Master looked at them and shuddered as even though the eyes of these Infected Humans looked apathetic, they were still humans.

Right?

They…were still humans? This was reversible?

The Ethereal Physiology Master didn't know as he roared out, walls of bronze earth spinning around him as they knocked the Infected Humans back!

On the floor below, Lana and many other stampeding humans felt a surge of relief in their fear as they saw the floating human shimmering with the allure of stars.

Ethereal was the highest level of power they knew as if such a being was here, surely they were saved, right?

Layers of bronze earth swirled all around the Ethereal Physiology Master, some forming into tendrils of earth that looked down at Infected Humans and even extended out to stop other Infected Humans on the nearby floor!

But in the midst of all this.

In a corner of the 17th floor, two Infected Humans with heavily preserved auras watched on coldly.

Their bodies were bright with Meridians filled with Leucochloridium Worms as one crackled with poisonous green lightning, a half formed illusory star above its head.

In an instant, this Infected Human shot out like a streak of poisonous lightning, instantly appearing in front of the Ethereal Physiology Master!

The Master who roared while putting up a shield wall of earth, but in the next moment, the apathetic eyes of the Infected Human flashed coldly as its body began to swell up.

It swelled horrifically and exploded right after!

BOOM!

…!

The impact was heavy.

A Half-Ethereal Physiology Infected self detonated as the blast sent out residues of dead ethereal wonders, blowing apart the heavy defenses of the Ethereal Physiology Master as the impact was even enough to fling him backward!

His ears buzzed as his eyes vibrated from the impact, his figure quickly looking around rapidly as…

"Ah…"

His eyes caught crows of normal humans gazing up at him with horror.

Behind him.

Out of his gaze.

The other Half-Ethereal Physiology Infected was already in the skies, its whole body changing to become a massive multicolored worm that turned into a spear that sank into the back of the Ethereal Physiology Master!

…!
