I Have a Sword

Chapter 1138: Lin Tiandi

Upon entering the spacetime abyss, Ye Guan hopped onto his sword and headed directly for its core.

As the hours passed, Ye Guan's expression grew increasingly grim.

The will engulfing him was becoming stronger and stronger as well as more and more oppressive. He realized that he had only ever been around its periphery.

As he ventured closer to the core, the strength of the two distinct wills became daunting. The Battle Intent within them was particularly unsettling, and it made him feel uneasy. Those wills were from countless years ago, and they were left behind by those who had fallen a long time ago.

Ye Guan heightened his vigilance. Although his strength had vastly improved, the vastness of the vast expanse meant that many could pose a challenge to him.

Pressing forward, the oppressive weight of the two wills grew stronger. The closer he came to the core, the more palpable the danger became.

Ye Guan frowned and unleashed his sword intent to shield himself from their overwhelming presence.

After some time, a faint golden light appeared in the distance.

He would soon reach his destination.

Ye Guan quickened his pace.

Just as he approached the golden light, a mysterious energy locked onto him.

Halting his advance, Ye Guan turned to the right and saw a man in black battle armor with a saber in hand. The man was standing hundreds of meters away, but the undisguised killing intent in his eyes was clearly visible as he stared at Ye Guan.

Swoosh!

Ye Guan vanished in an instant.

The man's face twisted in shock. He hadn't expected Ye Guan to strike without warning. By the time he reacted, Ye Guan's sword was already upon him.

Instinctively, he raised his saber to defend himself.

Boom!

The man was blasted nearly a thousand meters by Ye Guan's attack. When he finally stopped, Ye Guan's sword was already pressing against his brow.

The man froze, and his face went stiff.

Ye Guan stared at him with a sharp gaze. "What are you looking at?"

"You…" the man muttered in disbelief.

Ye Guan's eyes narrowed, and a cold glint flashed through them. "You want to kill me?"

Before the man could respond, Ye Guan's sword pressed half an inch into the former's brow, drawing blood. Panic flooded the man's heart, and he hurriedly exclaimed, "No! I don't!"

Ye Guan retorted, "Then what's with the killing intent in your eyes?"

The man hesitated and was about to speak when—

"How absurd." A voice echoed from the side.

Ye Guan turned to see three figures approaching—two men and one woman. A burly man with a grin stood at the helm of them. The burly man's eyes gleamed with mockery as he addressed Ye Guan, "I see killing intent in your eyes, too. Why don't you try killing me?"

The other two chimed in, "Yeah, you seem like you want to kill us. Come at us, then!"

Swoosh!

Ye Guan disappeared once again.

The burly man's eyes narrowed. A massive black shield materialized in his right hand, which he thrust forward like a mountain, unleashing a terrifying force.

Ye Guan used his Order Sword instead of the Qingxuan Sword, and it pierced the shield effortlessly before piercing the burly man's brow.

However, it didn't stop there; the sword continued and pierced the brows of the burly man's companions behind him.

Killing three with one sword!

The three stared at Ye Guan in disbelief as they collapsed and perished. Even in death, they couldn't comprehend how they had died so easily.

Ye Guan extended his palm, and his sword returned to his hand along with the trio's storage rings. As their life force faded completely, fifteen Supreme Law fragments emerged from them.

With a thought, Ye Guan gathered the fragments into his palm. After storing them away, he turned to the armored man behind him and asked, "How many of you are there?"

The man's face was pale, and his eyes were filled with terror as he stared at Ye Guan as if the latter were a ghost.

Ye Guan frowned.

The man stammered, "I-I don't know… the Iron God Clan's young master, Qiong Ling, was the one who ordered us to ambush you…"

Ye Guan asked, "Anyone else?"

The man suddenly knelt. "Brother, I want to switch sides. Please spare me!"

Ye Guan studied him silently.

The man's voice was trembling as he pleaded, "Young man, who hasn't made a few wrong choices in life? As long as one is willing to mend their ways, shouldn't they be given another chance?"

Ye Guan thought for a moment and nodded. "Makes sense."

The man breathed a sigh of relief.

Ye Guan asked, "What's your name?"

The man hesitated before replying, "Lin Tiandi[1]."

Ye Guan froze. "What did you say your name is?"

"Lin Tiandi."

Ye Guan's expression darkened. "Are you serious?"

The man chuckled nervously. "When I was born, my father hoped I'd achieve greatness, so he named me that. He wanted to reserve a sovereign's title for me in advance."

Ye Guan glanced at Lin Tiandi and remarked, "Your dad's pretty bold."

Shifting his attention to the golden light in the distance, Ye Guan asked, "Besides the Iron God Clan's Qiong Ling, has the Divine Law Academy or the Titan Clan made any moves?"

Lin Tiandi shook his head. "I'm not sure about them. All I know is that Qiong Ling wanted us to test your strength. We didn't expect you to be this strong…"

Ye Guan nodded and surveyed the area. "The Iron God Clan's ancestor once single-handedly resisted the Otherworld God. He was a hero!

"However, his descendants are actually not hesitant to stoop to such cowardly schemes. If General Qiong Ye could see your actions, he'd probably come back to life out of sheer anger."

Ye Guan heard nothing in response.

Step!

Just then, footsteps echoed in the distance, and a young man emerged from the shadows. The young man was clad in a luxurious robe, and his hands were tucked into his sleeves. His expression was calm, and there was a faint smile on his face.

He was accompanied by several youths, and their gazes toward Ye Guan were both sharp and hostile.

The young man at the helm was Qiong Ling, the young clan leader of the Iron God Clan.

Qiong Ling eyed Ye Guan with a mocking smile. "So, you're the so-called Academy Master of the Guanxuan Academy from the Guanxuan Universe? Someone like you actually dares to claim my ancestor's Supreme Law Heart?"

Ye Guan vanished.

Shwing!

A sword pierced Qiong Ling's head, but it was a mere afterimage.

Ye Guan turned, finding Qiong Ling standing where he had been standing just a few moments ago.

The young man flicked his sleeve with a smirk. "Is that all you've got?"

Lin Tiandi's voice sounded in Ye Guan's mind. "He's wearing the Iron God Clan's treasured boots—Earthstride Boots. With them, his thoughts will determine his position. Unless a supreme elite intervenes, he's virtually untouchable."

Ye Guan glanced at Qiong Ling's boots, noting the faint energy emanating from them. His speed was exceptional, but those boots had rendered his earlier strike futile.

"Want one more chance?" Qiong Ling sneered. Spreading his arms, he taunted, "Go ahead, strike at my chest. This time, aim properly."

"Pfft!"

Laughter erupted from his companions. One of them, a man with dreadlocks, even raised his middle finger toward Ye Guan and jeered, "Don't miss this time, you Guanxuan mutt—"

Before he could finish, a sword pierced his brow.

Ye Guan regarded him coldly and said, "A paltry small fry."

Everyone else went utterly silent.

Lin Tiandi broke out in a cold sweat. Ye Guan was terrifyingly ruthless.

The man impaled by the Order Sword was struck with utter terror the moment he realized his life was draining away rapidly. He wanted to say something, but before he could, the Order Sword shattered his soul.

However, the Supreme Law fragments within his body were left untouched, and there were five of them in total.

Ye Guan opened his palm, and the five fragments of Supreme Law, along with the man's storage ring, flew into his hand. After putting them away, he turned his gaze toward the men and women in the distance.

Their eyes were filled with fear and apprehension.

Ye Guan withdrew his gaze and looked at Qiong Ling.

Qiong Ling smiled and remarked, "Not bad, you've got some skill."

Swoosh!

But just as his voice fell, a sword was already upon him.

Slash!

Once again, Ye Guan's sword missed its mark.

Qiong Ling reappeared in the spot where Ye Guan was standing just a few moments ago. A faint smile tugged at his lips, but just as he was about to speak, his face stiffened.

Swoosh!

A sword had appeared without warning between his brows!

Phantom Edge!

Ye Guan had predicted his movements.

Qiong Ling had no way to dodge the oncoming attack. He clenched his right hand tightly, and an invisible barrier appeared before him.

Bang!

Ye Guan's attack was blocked, but another sword came slashing in.

Boom!

With a resounding explosion, Qiong Ling was sent flying.

While in midair, a myriad of sword lights manifested, sealing all his escape routes.

Boom!

The air was filled with deafening explosions as Qiong Ling was relentlessly bombarded by wave after wave of sword lights. In an instant, he was engulfed in a storm of sword lights.

He was being completely suppressed!

His companions watching from the sidelines revealed grave faces at the sight.

They had grossly underestimated Ye Guan!

Just then, a furious roar echoed from afar.

A wave of energy erupted, scattering the countless sword lights.

Qiong Ling charged out like a cannonball from the storm and headed straight for Ye Guan. He was encased in a thick, armor-like layer that radiated terrifying power.

The oppressive energy of the armor made everyone nearby feel suffocated.

Just then, Ye Guan suddenly thrust his sword forward.

He barely used any strength because it was theQingxuan Sword!

Qiong Ling charged forward, slamming straight into the Qingxuan Sword.

Shwik!

The Qingxuan Sword easily pierced Qiong Ling's armor and his head.

"Damn..."

Qiong Ling's eyes bulged as wide as eggs.

Ye Guan cast a worried look at the stupefied Qiong Ling.

"Does it hurt?" he asked.
