57.
57.
It was a smile that could enchant anyone, but Jian felt a chill. His eyes trembled uncontrollably as the lips slowly approached.
He needed to escape, but there was nowhere to run. It was true that when people are too shocked, they can’t do anything.
He couldn’t move a finger or toe. Even without the chains, he probably wouldn’t have been able to do anything.
Smack.
Jian froze completely as the lips touched his, almost like an embrace. The lips he had preciously kept for 30 years were stolen. And by the boy he had raised and cherished like a brother for 10 years.
A slick tongue slipped between his parted lips, bewildered. His eyes widened as much as they could.
The sensation of the hot flesh rubbing against the tip of his tongue was chilling. Then, sweet liquid came with the saliva.
As he swallowed reflexively, their tongues became even more deeply entwined. Sehun also had his eyes open, as if not wanting to miss any of Jian’s reactions.
Tears welled up as their gazes intertwined at close range. He couldn’t understand where it had all gone wrong.
He had tried so hard to prevent this. Why was Sehun showing him the obsession and lust that should have been for Hyunsu? Who was this angel-like child he had raised all these years?
The past years flowed down his temples as tears.
“…Why are you crying?”
The low, husky voice asked. Sehun stroked Jian’s hair after pulling away from the kiss. Gently, just as Jian had done for him.
“Why are you doing this to me… Sehun, you’re not like this…”
His lips trembled with each word. Sehun smiled at Jian’s words. Strangely, it was a sad-looking smile. The hand caressing his tear-stained eyes was warm.
“What kind of person was I to you, hyung?”
“You were…”
Jian paused briefly to catch his breath. The events of the past 10 years unfolded like a panorama in his mind.
“Kind, cute, brave despite going through many hardships, sometimes mischievous, smart enough to be proud of, and devoted to me…”
It really was like that. They say blood is thicker than water, but Jian had received more love and comfort from Sehun than from his blood-related family.
He had spent more time with Sehun than with memories of his parents.
Sehun was the first person he thought he could give his life for, and the researchers who tormented Sehun were the first people he hated enough to want to kill.
That’s how precious and irreplaceable Sehun was to Jian. He had felt a strange atmosphere with Sehun at times, but thought it was temporary.
The reason he was planning to go on blind dates soon was because he wanted to maintain his relationship with Sehun.
But why…
“That’s right. You’re the most important to me. So much that my feelings for you are far greater than your love for me.”
“I don’t think that’s true…”
Jian cautiously objected to Sehun’s words. Did his feelings seem that inadequate?
He didn’t want to childishly compare whose feelings were greater, but Jian truly could do anything dangerous for Sehun.
“Can you only get hard for me too, hyung?”
“What…?”
However, Sehun was far more obsessed with Jian than Jian had thought. For a moment, he thought there was a problem with his hearing. Sehun’s words shook Jian’s mind that much.
“My heart doesn’t flutter for anyone but you. You’re the only one who makes me genuinely smile, the only one I want to kiss.”
No, how could he confess like this…
If Sehun hadn’t been like a brother to him, his heart might have fluttered.
In the novel, he didn’t say such embarrassing things even to Hyunsu. He constantly obsessed and oppressed, as if he didn’t know how to win someone’s heart.
The gaze towards him was steadfast, but in a situation where he was bound and completely naked, no words could be taken at face value.
“…But you’re not like that, hyung.”
The atmosphere changed. There was even a faint resentment in his slightly trembling voice. Jian, still dumbfounded, raised his hand to comfort Sehun, but only the chains on his wrist rattled.
“You… you’re only thinking about breaking up with me.”
“Me…?”
What a series of absurdities. When had he ever thought about breaking up with Sehun?
He had only consoled himself privately that when Sehun became an adult and developed feelings for Hyunsu, he should send him off with a happy heart.
He had never expressed these inner thoughts to Sehun.
Then he remembered Sehun’s reaction when he said he was going to America. Even though he said he would return as soon as possible, Sehun had reacted as if the world was ending.
“Is this because I’m going to America?”
“You think I’m doing this just because of that?”
What else had he done wrong? He racked his confused brain but couldn’t think of anything.
“…You had your first kiss with someone else too. It should have been mine.”
“…”
Why did the phrase “obsessive yandere” that he had seen in the comments when reading the novel keep floating around in his head? He had looked up its meaning online out of curiosity and experienced a whole new world.
Something had gone terribly wrong. The obsession that should have been directed at Hyunsu was now aimed at him. …And the emotions that had made Hyunsu tremble in fear too.
Could it be that he hadn’t realized his feelings yet because he had been friends with Hyunsu since such a young age? Or had keeping him so close had a negative influence?
All sorts of thoughts came to mind. First, he needed to sort out this situation. When had he found a place like this?
The lighting wasn’t very bright so he couldn’t see everything, but there was a bed similar to the one in his room, and the remaining space seemed quite spacious.
Above all, he felt very embarrassed to be completely naked without even underwear. Compared to Sehun’s toned muscular body, his own body was flat, especially his bare groin.
It wasn’t the first time Sehun had seen him naked, but that was when Sehun was still young. After Sehun had grown to a certain age, even when he wanted to bathe together, Jian had taught him to bathe alone.
Given that he had brought him here while deeply asleep, undressed him, and bound him in chains, Jian was baffled by Sehun’s tastes.
“Let’s put some clothes on me first and talk. I think it’s best if we calmly discuss where things went wrong. And loosen these a bit too.”
Except for the fact that he was still straddling him, the conversation seemed to be going relatively well.
“I’m afraid that’s going to be difficult. I’m sorry, hyung.”
But he realized it was a misconception when the firm reply came. The touch caressing his tear-stained cheek was gentle, but his eyes were hard.
“I’ll lengthen the chains when you calm down a bit. Tell me if you need to use the bathroom. Do you want more honey water?”
Jian bit his lip, feeling overwhelmed. He couldn’t understand what this was all about at his age. He didn’t want to go this far, but he felt he needed to subdue Sehun for now.
He quietly called up his status window internally. But all the skill windows that had been active were now locked.
“I don’t think you’d attack me, hyung, but just in case…”
Jian took a small breath at the words, as if Sehun knew exactly what he was trying to do.
“These chains are a binding artifact. They can restrain even an S-rank hunter’s power. So don’t waste your energy trying. It will only tire you out, hyung.”
He was flustered, having never experienced something like this. A binding artifact? Wasn’t that what was used to kidnap Hyunsu in the novel?
However, unlike the original story, Sehun currently had no power. Back then he led a villain group, but now he was just an ordinary student about to enter university.
He had only awakened as a hunter yesterday. His mind was in chaos, wondering how a student had obtained such an incredibly expensive binding artifact.
“Aren’t you thirsty?”
Sehun gestured towards the glass of honey water. Of course, his thirst had worsened since earlier. He hadn’t properly tasted the water due to the sudden kiss.
But he didn’t want to drink water through another kiss with Sehun. When he answered with silence, Sehun let out a small sigh.
“Being stubborn will only hurt you, hyung. It’s better to adapt quickly.”
Where had the boy who would do anything for him gone? Tears that had momentarily stopped threatened to flow again at the miserable thought.
“…At least give me a blanket. I’m too cold.”
It was pathetic, but with Sehun in this state, yelling wouldn’t help. The only option was to act weak and wait for him to let his guard down.
His prediction was correct. As the soft blanket wrapped around his body, breathing became much easier. Although he was still bound in an unsightly state, it was much better than being completely naked.
