I Possessed The Final Villain In A Horror Game

PROLOGUE

Prologue

The spire, which was as sharp as a blade, stood alone, piercing the blood-red moon. A moon that large wasn’t common, yet there was no one out to see it. Well, except for the person hiding in a box big enough to fit a person.

Shivering, she clutched her arms tightly to keep her teeth from chattering. Her eyes, wide with fear, darted around, unable to find a place to settle.

Footsteps echoed from afar.

Slow, dragging steps that stopped and started as if searching for someone.

The footsteps grew closer to the wooden box. Through a gap just wide enough for two fingers, she could see only a shadow moving toward her.

Thump, thump…

The figure seen through the cracks drew nearer, now right in front of the box. Holding her breath, she desperately hoped it would pass by.

A pale, bare foot moved past the box, even slower than before. The dragging footsteps disappeared from view and gradually faded away.

The figure seemed to have left the room. Exhaling heavily, she wiped the sweat from her forehead and looked up…

Thud!

All she could see through the cracks was a vast darkness, as if staring into a black void. The lights were still on, but everything had dimmed.

Staring back at her was a massive black eye, taking up half a face.

—Too large to be human.

Realizing she had been seen, a skinny hand shook the wooden box.

“Aaaah!”

She barely escaped the box, the image of the large eye and the woman’s torn mouth laughing still vivid in her mind. Behind her, she heard the dragging steps of the woman who was chasing her.

The sound paused for a moment but soon followed, a clicking noise accompanying it.

Click…

The candles extinguished with each step as she ran down the hallway.

With no open rooms to hide in, she kept running, seemingly guided by an unseen force. At the end of the hallway, she saw a woman trembling in the dark.

Her disheveled long hair and red eyes, like the moon, revealed her fear. Seeing her trembling so, she called out to her.

“Tess!”

The trembling woman turned back, her entire body shaking with surprise.

But her expression twisted further upon seeing who had called her, revealing that the caller was not her savior.

“Stop it!”

“Lena… How did you get here?”

“Look around you!”

The floor was littered with bodies and blood, making the scene unrecognizable. The woman, shocked as if seeing it for the first time, seemed pitiful.

“I didn’t do this.”

“Get a grip, Tess.”

“Lena, Lena, Lena! If only you weren’t here!”

Like a cornered beast, Tess pointed a sharp sword at Lena.

Lena tried to run away again, frightened by Tess’s sudden change in behavior, but the barefooted woman behind was still chasing her.

There was nowhere left to escape as the sword rapidly approached Lena’s hear.

[GAME OVER]

Red letters appeared on the black framework that filleds the screen, marking another bad ending.
