Chapter 12: Zero is left behind

POV Narrator With Hiko

"I'm Back!" Hiko said and broke the ice barrier on the window

*Shatter*

One of the ice shard pass by Emily cheek in a hair breath away

"Hiko! You almost hit me!" Emily shouted at her

"Sorry! Emily-san! " Hiko apologies, she walk towards Emily bed and seat on it

"Hiko, where did you go?" Emily said in curious

"Just flying around~" Hiko playfully said,

Hiko was indeed, just flying around and not doing anything else, other then watching Vinny fighting the demon and Hiko being burn by Vinny blue flame, Hiko didn't do anything wrong

"..." -Emily

"..." -Hiko

The room atmosphere seem to be....very awkward at this moment

{Meanwhile with Zero}

*BANG*

The door slams open and revealed Vinny behind the door

"Hm?" Zero gazes at Vinny and immediately notice her missing left arm which is replace by a white void at the end of it

"Zero do me a favor and remove this cursed spell" Vinny exclaim with a smile

"In exchange for?" Zero said, and bite a small portion of her dorayaki

"In exchange for more sweet food and a favor from me" Vinny replied with a sigh

"Okay" Zero said

Zero stood up and gesture for Vinny to walk towards her, Vinny followed her gesture and stand in front of Zero, just a few meters away

Zero raise her hand towards Vinny's arms

"Mana Absorption: Cursed Mana" Zero muttered under her breath

Vinny close her eyes as she felt a strange feeling of something leaving from inside her missing left arm

Black String started to appeared one after another on Vinny's white void left arm and as if it is attracted on something, the black string quickly move towards Zeros palm

Zero stood there and absorbed the Black String as if it is just a snack for her palm

The Black String began to appear more and more, on Vinny missing left arms,

After a few minutes, all the black string is absorbed by Zero with ease and the White Void on Vinny's arm is gone, instead it is replace by a black void, it looks like charcoal or burn meat

"Cursed Spell: No Regeneration has been remove, by individual Zero"

"Cursed Spell: Weaken Body has been remove, by individual Zero"

Vinny thanked Zero for her help in removing the cursed spell

Zero accepted her gratitude while reminding her the sweet she exchange, for removing the cursed spell

Vinny of course handed over all the sweat she had at the moment, this cause Zero to be stun at the amount of sweets she got from Vinny

In front of Zero there is a Mountain at the sizes of Zero own body height, there were a bit too many, there is probably 10,000 sweets or more inside that 'mountain'

There is a bunch of sweets, for example, The magical lollipop, dorayaki, Strawberry cake, chocolate cake, fruit boom cake, sakura cake, sakura mochi, steamy hot buns, egg custard tart, Taiyaki, strawberry waffle, cookie waffle, mochi ice cream, cheesecake, Melonpan, pancake, Chocolate bar and a lot more

Zero eyes sparkles with light, she doesn't recognise any of the sweet food in front of her except the dorayaki and cake, but just looking at one of them made her drooled uncontrollable

'Human food are beyond reality' Zero thought, she never could have imagine that Human can actually make this delicious sweet food

When Zero first appeared, her first thought were, I got abducted by alien and they are experimenting with my body

Later on she realise, she didn't got abducted, no she got transmigrated inside a small human body which is absurd in her opinion, her previous body is extremely beautiful you know?

Her long black tailed, her shiny black scales, and her beautiful yellow reptile eyes, were what people in her planet would call beautiful

Zero stopped daydreaming about her beautiful appearance in her past life, instead she focus her attention on the mountain of food

She took one bite, then another and another and another, and completely ignore Vinny's existence

Vinny didn't mind, she had completely regenerate her left arm, thanks to Zero for removing the cursed spell,

'This should be enough to distract her' Vinny thought

Vinny quietly close the door and walked towards a certain direction, where is she heading you may ask?

Vinny is currently heading towards the meeting hall, she has previously called all her trusted subordinate to attend the meeting, even if they are on a mission currently

But of course she still has something to do and that is, visiting Hiko and Emily

Vinny walked towards Emily room, She kicked the door open without the slightest bit of hesitation

"Ah!" Hiko shouted in surprise

"Eek" Emily flinched at the sudden noise

"Emily-chan! Hiko-Chan~" Vinny greeted them both

"Vinny-san! " Hiko cheerfully greeted Vinny

Emily stayed silent

"Eh. Why is Emily-Chan room so messy?" Vinny asked

Emily room looks to be mostly destroyed, other then the bed being mostly intact. the walls, floors and the ceiling were full of giant holes, the window seem to be cover in ice for some reason, but someone broke the ice from the outside, because all the ice shard are scattered inside the room

"Some mid grade demon put some kind of time bomb and destroyed Emily-san room!" Hiko happily explained

Hiko clapped her hand and continue "and then! I freeze the mid grade demon and! And! Chop his head with Wind Magic!" Hiko said, Hiko is oddly excited about it, Hiko seem to be in a good mood about something

"That's amazing Hiko-Chan!" Vinny complemented Hiko

Vinny walked towards Hiko and petted her head as a reward

"Hehehe" Hiko smile, she leaned more towards Vinny hands, enjoying the head pet Vinny is giving her

'This feels wrong, but why does it feel wrong?' Hiko thought to herself, she put that thought in the back of her mind and enjoy the head pet

Vinny retracted her hand, making Hiko disappointed at her action

"I'm glad that, your both are okay" Vinny exclaim, with a smile

"Hiko-Chan, Emily-chan" Vinny called, gaining both of their attention

"Hm?" Hiko hum in respond

"Yes?" Emily said

"Let's go to Celestia! " Vinny declared

"..." -Hiko

"..." -Emily

"..." -Vinny

Silent envelop the room, after Vinny declaration

"Celestia?" Hiko repeated her word

"Go to Celestia?" Emily exclaim

"Mhm" Vinny hum in respond

"Is butler going to be there too?" Hiko asked, her voice has a hint of excitement, She hasn't seen the butler for a long time now

"Nope! It's just the three of us!" Vinny answered

"Three" Emily said

"Of us?" Hiko finished Emily sentence

"Yup! Zero isn't coming!" Vinny said

"Ehh? But why?" Hiko asked

"I can only teleport three people! " Vinny lie as naturally as she breath

"Okay!~" Hiko exclaim and didn't worry about it

"So when will we go to Celestia?" Emily asked the important question

"Five days!" Vinny answered

"I pick both of you up in the morning!" Vinny said

"Mhm!" Hiko hummed in respond

Emily nodded at Vinny's words

"teleportation" Vinny muttered, a magic circle appeared below her feet, it shine a blue light and completely engulfed her entire figure,

Affer a few second the blue light disappeared, and her figure is nowhere to be seen, leaving Hiko and Emily in the room

{5 Days Later}

"HIKOOOOO-CHAAAAAANNN!!!" Vinny shouted before Kicking the door open

*BANNG!!*

"Vinny-san! " Hiko exclaim in surprise

Emily seem to have been dragged by Vinny, judging from the way Vinny is holding her,

"Let's go!" Vinny didn't chitchat and immediately teleport Hiko to Celestia Kingdom

The three of them disappeared from Hiko's room, leaving Zero on the dining table, the sweets that Vinny give her didn't seem to have been finish by Zero

"So good!" Zero delightfully said, she hasn't slept for five days, ever since Vinny give her the sweet, Zero had made a goal to finish all the mountain of sweet withing a months time

But Zero didn't expect it to be more difficult then she had original thought

{Meanwhile with Hiko}

"Woah!" Hiko exclaim, her surrounding had completely changes

They were in front of a gate with two white Knight on each side

"ID card?" The Knight asked them

"Here you go!" Vinny handed, three ID Card towards the Knight

The Knight grabbed the three card and checked them, while looking at the picture place on the side

After a few minute the Knight let them pass through the gate

"Yay! " Hiko exclaim happily

"Hiko-Chan! This is your Adventure Card, don't lose it okay" Vinny said, she handed Hiko, the Adventure Card

"Mhm!" Hiko nodded, she grab her Adventure card and put it in her nonexistent pocket(Inventory)

"This one is for you Emily-chan " Vinny said and handed a identical adventure card to her

"Thank you" Emily thanked Vinny, she put it safely on her white bag

"Vinny-san! Look! Look! There's some kind of letters on top of that person!" Hiko exclaimed out loud, making the person notice Hiko presence

"Hm? This NPC seem to be intelligent " The player said

"Sorry for her behavior" Vinny apologies towards the players

"It's fine lady," The player forgive them

Hiko stare at the user name of the players

"Charlo Lindsey"

'Eh. Isn't that my coworkers name?' Hiko thought, it isn't surprising for Hiko's Coworkers to play this game, it is quite a coincident for Hiko to met him first out of all the random players

"Vinny-san, can I go out with that guy?" Hiko asked Vinny,

If any perverted guy were to hear that, they probably misunderstood her intention

Hiko look at Vinny with pleading eyes

'Oh? Is she interested in him? Maybe she is curious about this Prophecies heros' Vinny thought and decided to allow Hiko to go with the player

"Sure, be careful okay" Vinny agreed with Hiko request,

"Yaaay! Thank you Vinny-san! " Hiko thanked Vinny and approach the player

Hiko stood in front of the players

"Mister! Can we play!" Hiko said with 'excitement'

'I need information on the outside world and Charlo is the perfect target, I know him for a lot time so it's easy for me to Manipulate him, especially when my body is that of a Loli, if I remember correctly, he seem to have a liking for Loli—Ahem' Hiko coughed and didn't finish her thought process

'System, is there a way, for me, to give, mission to players? Since I'm technically a NPC now, I could theoretically send mission to players right?' Hiko asked the system

[ "yes you can, just think of giving the players a mission and then think of what reward to give them, the better the reward the more willing for the player to complete them" ]

POV Charlo Lindsey

"Yaaay! Thank you Vinny-san! " The little girl thanked her elder sister, and walked towards me

"Mister! Can we play!" The little girl said with excitement, her eyes sparkles with stars

'Aww~ so cute! The artist really outdone it' I praise the artist that made this Loli NPC

"Eh." I exclaim dumbfounded at the mission reward

"EHHHHHH!!??" I shouted, scaring the people around me

"Ah!" The little girl in front of me screamed and took a step back away from me

"Does mister....doesn't want to play...." The little girl said, her eyes started to water as tears form under her eyes

"No! No! No! It's a misunderstanding! I will play with you!" I quickly said, I didn't want to gain a bad reputation among the NPC especially this cute Loli girl

"You have accepted the mission: Play with Hiko Yokai"

"Yaaayy! Thank you Mister!" The little girl now name Hiko Yokai happily thanked me

"Let's go and play over there!" She grabbed my hands and dragged me towards the playground

"Hahaha, alright alright " I let her dragged me towards the playground

"*sniff* *sniff*" she sniff something and gazes at the stall that is selling cooked monster meat

"Do you wanna try it?" I said upon noticing where she is looking at

"Mhm!" She hummed in respond

I and Hiko walked towards the stall, I asked the owner for five meat stick.

"Woahhhhh!" She exclaim in delight, enjoying the meat stick that I brought with my own coin

"I'm glad you like it" I said with a smile

The two of us were currently sitting on a bench beside the playground

"I'm Hiko Yokai! By the way" She introduce herself towards me

"Names Charlo Lindsey," I Introduce myself

I look at her with a smile, she seem to be enjoying the meat stick I brought, her smile is really cute

'I wonder what her status panel looks like' I curiously said and checked her status panel

"That make sense" I muttered and close the panel

"Charlo-san! What year is it right now?" Hiko asked me with her innocent eyes

"Eh. 2025, why did you ask?" I answered honestly, she seem to have pause at my word

"2025, it's already been four earth month since I transmigrated here, the time difference between reality and game is a bit weird" She muttered to herself under her breath

"What was that Hiko?" I asked, I couldn't hear what she is muttering about

"Nothing!, Charlo-san! Are you a adventure?" She asked me, her eyes radiates a curious aura

"Yes I am, I join the Adventure guild a few weeks ago" I answered her question

"Do you have any party members?" She questioned me

"No, I'm a lone adventure, Isidore was suppose to...Nevermind that" I didn't continue talking about Isidore, he is long gone, if only I didn't ask for his help,

She nodded, "Thank you for playing with me Charlo-san!" Hiko said happily

"That went well! Good thing he didn't notice my interrogation method" I said with some relief

"Hey! Hiko-Chan! " Vinny shouted in the distance, as she wave her hand at me

I wave back and run towards her "Vinny-san! " I shouted

"Did you had fun with that guy?" Vinny asked

I nodded "yeah! I even made him spend, his own coin on the meat stick!" I playfully said making it seem like I took advantage of him

"Thats great! Let's go and find a Inn somewhere" Vinny said and walked towards a certain direction

I followed behind her with Emily being on her left side

"Emily-san! Why are you pretty quiet today?" I asked her, she didn't spoke much during the entire five days, I know that she's a introvert and all but I can still tell when someone is too quiet or too talkative

"It's....nothing" Emily said

'I don't know~.....but she is acting very suspicious! Maybe the demon that invaded, did something to her while I was gone' I thought, making a wild guess

'I read a lot of Novel and mange so a demon possessing someone is a possibility...or maybe I'm just too paranoid' I thought, I shrugged and put that thought away

*Growl*

My stomach rumble in hunger

"Vinny-san...I'm hungry" I said with a pitiful tone while holding my stomach

"Alright let's eat food first, before looking for a Inn!" Vinny declared and dragged both of them towards the nearest Restaurant

*BANG*

*Ring Ring Ring*

Vinny slam the door open, there I could see a row of empty and occupied table, with the waitress serving the customer

"Welcome to Toronto Restaurant! " The cashier greeted the three of us

"Vinny-san! let's go over there!" I exclaim and pointed towards a table that has four chair and is beside a window

"Alright" Vinny replied and walked towards the four table

I seat beside the window, Vinny seat beside me while Emily seat across from me beside the window

The waitress come and brought us the Menu of this restaurant

"So many delicious food!" I said with excitement,

There were meats and more meats!

Especially this one! It's called Dragons Meats! It only cost five gold coin!

"Vinny-san! " I said, gaining her attention

"Yes Hiko-Chan? " Vinny responded

"I want this one!" I pointed at the dragons meats on the menu

"Of course! How about trying the Phoenix meats as well?" Vinny said

I nodded at her words "Waitress-san! I want Dragons Meats and Phoenix Meats Please!" I said towards the waitress

She seem to be surprise at it, even the other customer stare at our table

"Dragon meats and Phoenix meats are quite expensiv, are you sure?" The waitress exclaim

"Yes, I will be the one paying" Vinny responded

The waitress nodded and wrote it down on her note

"Emily what would you like to have?" Vinny asked her

"Milkshake...Strawberry milkshake....and waffles" Emily nervously said, she didn't like the stares of the other customers

"Strawberry milkshake and waffle" the waitress mutter and wrote it down on her note

"Give me tea and a strawberry cake" Vinny ordered

"Tea and strawberry cake" the waitress mutter and wrote it down on her note

"That will be all!" Vinny happily said

The waitress walked away from our table and prepare the order

"I wonder what Zero is doing" I said outloud, making Vinny chuckle at my word

{Meanwhile with Zero}

"So good!" Zero exclaim and ate her strawberry waffles with a delightful tone

"This one too! The shape is a bit weird but it's really delicious!" Zero commented

She had been eating since day 1 to day 5, she didn't even notice that Hiko is gone

'The cursed mana, I had absorbed five or six days ago, had helped me, be awake and healthy for a month or so' Zero thought and didn't worry about her physical health anymore,

"The blanket thingy that surrounded this Lollipop is a bit strange, why would human put this tiny blanket on this delicious Lollipop! " Zero questioned but didn't ponder on it since their culture were completely different

"And this Fish shape food is really good! The chocolate inside it is delightful! " Zero commented with surprise

"The Chocolate bar too! The texture is a bit hard but it's really sweets and satisfying, when you bite and swallow it!" Zero said and eat the chocolate bar like there is no tomorrow

"Mhmhmhm!" Zero Moan happily and eat the mountain of sweet that Vinny give her

There is actually a million or even billion of sweet food! Its just that Vinny made the space around the mountain of food to be smaller then it should be

Basically, Vinny distort the space around the sweet food, like a pocket Dimensions and only Zero can enter it, how does that work inside a game? It doesn't,

Zero didn't really care about this pocket dimension thingy, she enjoy the sweet that Vinny give her

'She is probably just fine' I thought and waited for my food to be delivered

I chatted with Vinny to waste time, while Emily seem to be staring at blank space, I think she is daydreaming about her hometown or something, sometime I also daydream of my mother

I wonder when will I escape this game world....
