On the broken walls, Konoha's Ninjas were rushing everywhere.

The flames of war reignited on this land that had known peace for so long. Various sounds of battle echoed endlessly. In the distance, two giant snakes rampaged through a residential area.

Konoha's Ninjas charged forward to engage the hostile Ninjas on top of the snakes, with the clang of kunai and shuriken filling the air. The skirmish on this section of the wall was still ongoing, but a large contingent of reinforcements from the ANBU had arrived, changing the tide.

In the midst of the combined assault by the Sunagakure and Otogakure, Konoha was quickly reacting and attempting to regain the upper hand.

Takeshi stood on the wall, half of his clothes stained with blood. He had led a small group of ANBU from the stadium to command the overall situation, gathering forces along the way and clearing out the intruders at this section of the wall.

As they finally had a moment to clean up the battlefield, Takeshi looked gravely toward the village. Several pillars of black smoke suddenly rose from the otherwise peaceful and prosperous buildings, and faint battle cries and desperate weeping were carried over by the wind. He clenched his fist, and more ANBU began to appear in front of him one after another.

"About a hundred Sunagakure's Ninja are attacking from the west!"

"There are giant snakes controlled by Otogakure's Ninja at Senju Street..."

As the intelligence reports flooded in, it became clear that the Sunagakure and Otogakure's Ninja were attacking with all their might. This was not going to be a simple task for Konoha to handle, as many enemies had already infiltrated the village.

Takeshi watched from a distance as a building collapsed, pain swelling in his heart. He was not worried that Konoha would fall to this attack. After all, the village's strength, even after years of peace, was still strong enough to repel such an assault. What truly worried him was the tremendous loss of life and property that this incident could cause.

"How is the evacuation of the villagers going?" The hostile Ninjas remaining on the wall had all been eliminated, and as more Konoha's Ninjas gathered around him, Takeshi asked his subordinates.

"It is proceeding in an orderly manner, and most of them have already reached the underground shelters."

Takeshi nodded, his expression becoming serious as he began issuing orders: where reinforcements were needed, where important documents should be destroyed in advance. The men dispersed with their assignments, while Takeshi led the remaining forces toward the most intense battlefields.

A commander must also fight. Takeshi, though older, still retained much of his former prowess. He showed no mercy, swiftly eliminating several squads of Sunagakure's Ninjas, rescuing trapped villagers, and moving on to the next battlefield where smoke rose.

On the way, Takeshi glanced back toward the Chunin Exam arena, wondering how the Hokage, trapped in the barrier, was faring... Though he felt certain that there was no need to worry. After all, ordinary ANBU intervention would hinder the fight of the strongest Ninjas.

Bang!

A giant snake crashed through a building and rolled into the street, its scaly body crushing the shops and carts along the roadside. Takeshi and his men, without exchanging any words, resolutely charged forward.

Several Otogakure's Ninjas atop the snake hurled shuriken down at them. Takeshi deflected one with a kunai, but with a heavy thud, an ANBU's member, miscalculating his move, was struck by the snake's tail and sent flying, coughing up blood.

"Fire Release: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!"

"Earth Release: Earth Flow Wall!"

The roar of Ninjutsu filled the air as Takeshi caught one of the Otogakure's Ninjas, and poof, one of their arms was chopped off. The rubble collapsed, screams of agony echoed, and everyone was engulfed in the brutal reality of war.

Takeshi and his team coordinated seamlessly, but just as they were about to gain the upper hand, the sound of something massive sliding across the ground came from the other side. A second giant snake burst through the buildings, crashing into the street.

Without any hesitation, lethal Ninjutsu and projectiles came at them from both sides. Several ANBU were killed on the spot. Takeshi's hand, holding his kunai, trembled with exhaustion. The snake drew closer, its shadow looming over him. Just as Takeshi prepared to make a desperate last stand, a dark figure descended from the sky, landing directly atop the giant snake.

"You seem to be in some trouble." A slightly playful voice cut through the air. As the dust settled, a toad of roughly the same size as the giant snake appeared on top of the giant snake, "Takeshi, it feels like you haven't changed at all. Could you get a bit stronger?"

The giant snake let out a painful wail, and all the hostile Ninjas standing on its back were crushed into the rubble below. Takeshi stared blankly at the familiar toad for a few seconds before looking up.

"Jiraiya-sama..."

With his signature white hair and a headband marked with the word 'Oil', Jiraiya burst into hearty laughter. At this time, there are Otogakure's Ninjas coming from the other side of the street to launch another attack. Some of them, upon recognizing Jiraiya, were visibly shocked and muttered in disbelief, "That person… Could it be..."

Jiraiya casually dodged the attacks, glanced down at the giant snake, which was slowly dying under the toad's weight, and his expression grew slightly more serious as he looked at Takeshi, "Is it Orochimaru? He's back?"

"Yes, he's currently fighting Hokage-sama!" Takeshi replied.

A complicated look flashed across Jiraiya's face as he glanced around at the battle-torn village. The giant toad beneath him began to move, "The village is quite chaotic right now. In any case, let me help you deal with the enemies here first."

Jiraiya had returned to Konoha before the start of the finals of the Chunin Exams. After teaching Naruto for nearly a month, he had gone off again to travel. He hadn't expected to return to a situation like this.

A few minutes later, the street grew quiet. After assessing the situation, Jiraiya leaped to a higher vantage point and looked toward the distant forest, "That kid Naruto went after the Sunagakure's Jinchuriki... I hope he'll be alright."

After exchanging a knowing look with Takeshi, who was cleaning up the aftermath below, Jiraiya jumped and headed toward the Chunin Exam arena. With each leap, the air whistled as it was cut by his accelerating speed…

"Old man, please hold on."

Two streaks of bright white light clashed and separated, only to collide again moments later.

Sweat trickled down Logan's forehead. His blade, Shimizu, and the Kusanagi Sword continued to clash, their quality making it difficult to determine a victor. Logan's hand, gripping the sword, felt increasingly numb from the continuous forceful clashes with Orochimaru's strikes.

"Hehe, is your hand losing strength?" Orochimaru continued to swing the Kusanagi Sword with ease. Logan snorted coldly, as he knew the opponent wasn't as relaxed as he seemed. After all, the slight irregularities in Orochimaru's breathing revealed his fatigue, although his Soft Physique Modification Technique gave Orochimaru an edge in such skirmishes.

Logan switched Shimizu to his left hand, casually deflecting one of Orochimaru's strikes. He suddenly retreated, his right hand surging with crackling lightning. Grabbing a kunai, a burst of blinding lightning flared up.

Orochimaru's movements became strange, constantly making slight adjustments to his position. As Logan raised his lightning-infused kunai, Orochimaru suddenly flickered to Logan's side, the Kusanagi Sword slashing down viciously.

"Although your powerful move is so fast, so fast that people can't even think of dodging…" Orochimaru's voice, laced with a chilling sneer, seemed to almost brush against Logan's skin, "But before using it, there's always a tell, a hint of direction. I just need to stop you from executing it or make sure it misses."
